Very informative and interesting video, Gary. I have been using tone breaks for the past month or so; however, I have been setting my discrimination at around 6.0 - 6.5. This video definitely gave me something to think about. Well done.

Interesting stuff Gary, I like to try these different things but I must admit for wide open detecting and iron feedback at speed I always favour the Hot program. I really think you hit on something brilliant when you worked that one out. ATB MMMD

Ok Gary, I use a custom 3 tone program as you can see on my channel (relic hunting videos). Anyway, what would be the difference if you set iron volume at 0 vs anything else? Just like full tones you don’t need iron volume, since disc set at -6.4. I have also set the disc to 0 and second tone to 10. Set the iron vol to 1. And it’s very dynamic!
Well done, iron volume is only related to the disc channel at the top

Gary, what will happen to targets that do not register on the screen? The very deep ones. When I use full tone I can tell if I need to dig these or not. How will it be if I use tone breaks? Will I still get the deep ones that dont register on the screen and will I be able to id them or will they be discriminated via tone break?
You will still hear the deep targets, screen will still show nothing.

I have been running the Deus on ultimate program, keeping the discrimination at 0.0.
Is there a lot of difference between the 0.0 and -6.4?
And would you say I could’ve missed anything with not having a discrimination at -6.4.
Running low at 6.4 just allows you to hear the ground feedback.....some like to hear it, some don't 👍
Where can I find this written down?

There are so many angles to that question based on the land, where the Gold is located, size of the gold and the user's detector knowledge.
Working for XP I would say the ORX is a strong contender.

yes I was thinking the same ,, just got simplex I am playing with atm , I do more relic hunting at the moment,, but plan to go into XP machines soon go after a bit of gold thanks again good luck on your hunting you never know you may just find that holy Grail,,,lol,,
Do each of the factory preset programs for the Deus have different filters applied
Not as far as I am aware only 6 and 10

Hmm. I would use the Hot Program to have more noise from the field. Deus Fast gave me a lot of great Finds like it is. Sorry Gary.
Watched it 5 times an still Learning... Just Cut down the tonebreak to 6 and try it Next Time when i'm in a Side where i know that there have been hammered Coins... Problem is Iron and smal Pieces of Aircraftaluminium from ww2....

I have an other Short question.... if i cut down the Disk to -6.1 i'll hear Everything. What will happen when i Groundbalance the Maschine? In closed Disk progs it will Let me hear all the ground and the hotrock and thats Not ok in an closed Disk, but if i hear it already because i run it on -6.1 i can Groundbalance the deus to the ground to get more depth. Ore will the hotrock become a good tone like in your gb-video demonstrated????
-6.4 will accept the ground as a low tone.
Lowering the GB will make items like coil sticks and hot rock a high tone.

Hey,Gary.Nice video again.Tone break 9= 6.1 discrim,right? I will try your sonar but -2 discrimination and 3 reactivity.And also maybe tobe break at 7-8? What's your opinion for these settings? Cheers and greetings from Bulgaria,mate !
Give it a try, I guess it all depends on your site and patience.
