. . . I love the studio version, just vocals and piano, but as someone earlier, the tastefully added guitar creates a whole other dynamic . . . a whole other emotion that was missing . . . Jesus, that was brilliant . . .
OMFG !!why did i find this only now?!? this is even 100x better then the studio version! i never knew Chris played the piano on this, what a fkn musical genius that guy is! purely one of the best ever , and i cant recall i ever heard GT with a raspy Axl Rose sound wow !! and the Whips guitar that doesnt exist in the studio version even adds more to the emotion of the song wow! what a masterpiece of a song and preformance
Patrick, ultimately you did that.. Good job, and quite an asset from our guys from queensryche. Not many songs pull that inspiration from our very core? Keep up the good work! Good luck!
Words can't express how much I love these guys. The guitar in this is beautiful. Man it would've been a dream to have been at this concert. Chris on the piano, wow he's talented. Thanks for posting this video.

It's definitely a great version. You're welcome :)
Awesome! Proud to say I was at this show and consider it one the best shows I’ve seen in my life. Queensryche at their peak. Thank you for posting this!
Seen them at Long Beach Arena in '91 on the Empire Tour. Also won tickets on a local radio station to see them when they filmed their MTV's Unplugged show.
It's why today's music sucks! Beat orientated, with a hook. Good music has rhythm, melody, harmony, beat and hopefully good lyrics. ( The reason why I ended liking Queensryche so much)..
A true honor since the beginning following you. Member of Queensryche fan club! After seeing you in Detroit then in small nothing area in fort Wayne Indiana with Type o negative. Promise land tour! Waiting on your buses sharing beers at back of my pickup with Peter Steel and Jeff Tate! Just being guys with a fan and his wife! Priceless memories!
It's a great rendition. Don't know in which moment of the show this is sung, but their whole repertoire is truly demanding. Despite a couple of notes which are slightly out of tone, Geoff's rendition is wonderful, felt, and enjoyable. Amazing. Thank you for uploading it.
"Promised Land" is my favorite release from them. "Hear In the Now Frontier" is where I stop at with them. A lot of fans didn't care for the grunge style music To me they give it some class And I'm one the hates grunge music For those of you who hate that album, you need to go back and really listen to the whole thing. The song "Hit the Black" is one for sure you'll be cranking up
By the way, I just saw Geoff Tate at a club in Virginia Beach earlier this year and he still has the pipes after all these years. Amazing.
One of the most underrated albums of all time is Promised Land and this was the best song on it
This album actually reached platinum status. In the age of grunge. Can you show me another 80-s era band who reached this success in that time?
truth
Absolutely! The others over shadow it BC. they are so f**king good! Great vid...
It’s definitely in my top 10 QR songs. Roads to Madness, holds a special place in my heart.
Oh Yes ! 😊💖
God tier vocals
. . . I love the studio version, just vocals and piano, but as someone earlier, the tastefully added guitar creates a whole other dynamic . . . a whole other emotion that was missing . . . Jesus, that was brilliant . . .
The description says Geoff's voice is raspy and subpar compared to earlier shows, but damn, man, his subpar is beyond most people's best
Michael’s guitar work on this version is simply beautiful.
Love this song.

This song saved my life! Thank you Queensryche

What a performance, he hits absolutely every note perfectly!
Tate is, I submit to you, the best singer ever!❤️🙏👉🇺🇸👍
I agree
Such an amazing time for Queensryche! Geoff's voice was perfect back then! Always gives me the chills listening to him in his prime!
The greatest voice ever
Badass🤩. Tate has so much charisma & vocal range. He's pitch perfect.
MUSICIANS , EXCELLENT , DE GARMO , THE VOICE TATE , EPIC .

I will die thinking that this is my favorite song.
The guitar found only in the live version makes this song perfect!!
Still love this song never gets old
Simply superb and sublimely simple, yet with soul and power.
Truly magnificent!
Это ШЕДЕВР! ДеГармо гений! Тэйт великолепен! БРАВО!!!
Seen them at Long Beach Arena in '91 on the Empire Tour. Also won tickets on a local radio station to see them when they filmed their MTV's Unplugged show.
Lucky?
What great band. And Geoff's vocals were perrrrfect.
Amazing concert! I love this band.
I love Geoff Tate. That voice is spectacular.
Incredible song!
When you hear such timeless songs, you know you are alive!
My wife and I was there in the front!! Awesome this was a great show!! perfect...
What memories of this beautiful song..
Saw this show and even met them backstage !! Forever the BEST !!
Promised Land is my favorite. Sam Goody had a big CD poster in the window when it came out. Who remembers that?
I remember record stores..
Love this man
Yup
Only took me 50 some years to decipher and delight in all the beautiful musical instruments and appreciate how they are so important to a song❣
It's why today's music sucks! Beat orientated, with a hook. Good music has rhythm, melody, harmony, beat and hopefully good lyrics. ( The reason why I ended liking Queensryche so much)..
I haven't heard any new stuff from either since the break up. Bummer. Loved The Ryche with Jeff.
An amazing song, that has brought tears to my eyes and lifted me up during some very tough times. Queensryche are one of the best to do it!
My Queensryche tribute band is learning this exact version. Ty for posting
This song as a veteran. Means more then Queensryche will ever know.
Maybe it just means that we should remember that we forgot..
Before he wore his voice out…just spectacular.
Absolutely love this song.

Really, Geoff and Peter Steele together? That is truly awesome.
That was such an amazing tour/show.
Beautiful
Love this song. I saw them on the Promised Land tour in Hampton Va. Will never forget it.
Outstanding Tour !
Просто охуительно великолепно !!!
Thanks for preserve and share this treasures!! Inmortal Queensryche! 🔥💓🔥
This was Queensryche my friends: Geoff Tate and Chris De Garmo.
Absolutely.
This is the very last song of the show.
@ I mean, even more amazing rendition!
Great post! Brings back many memories. Thanks again!
You're welcome!
If you have any stories of the Queensrÿche shows you've attended, feel free to share them :)
Again, thanks for the music my friends
"Promised Land" is my favorite release from them.
"Hear In the Now Frontier" is where I stop at with them.
A lot of fans didn't care for the grunge style music
To me they give it some class
And I'm one the hates grunge music
For those of you who hate that album, you need to go back and really listen to the whole thing.
The song "Hit the Black" is one for sure you'll be cranking up
Agreed. That album gets a lot of undeserved hate. spOOL is one of my favorite Ryche songs ever.
I thought Tribe was really good as well
For what it’s worth, take a listen to Geoffs latest project, Sweet Oblivion. His second album with them is as good as PL and before.
I’ve always thought it was underrated as well. I play drums to a lot of the songs on that album still. Spool is a pretty good example of their sound.
I truly love all the songs you sing Geoff. Thank you so much 💕
Ryche On 🤩🎉💞
Really Great!! Thanks for it!! I have seen and met Q Ryche many times here in MN!!
I just Subscribed to You And TY!!
precioso
Good one
Ryche Rules!
OH MY GOD!!!
ILove

BEYOND ENCHANTING... Hmmmm
A difficult song to sing
poseidon3032 it actually is very easy
@@CTeves97 yeah please upload a cover of you singing it.. I can't wait to see how easy the notes around 4:15 are to hit
Roads to madness blinded and neue regel are the hardest.
@@psimbyosis8162 'Before the Storm', 'I Dream In Infrared', 'Walk In The Shadows'...
@@psimbyosis8162A;h "Roads to madness"Livecrime my favorite!
muy bueno. el tema de estudio no esta no?
Sebastian Augusto es del disco promised land, pero parece que ya no esta por youtube
They have s mirror behind him
Which were the band's members in this gig? I mean, is De Garmo still in the band?
Oh yeah! Original line-up and all. DeGarmo didn't quit until December 1997 (last show with the band).
he is in the piano
