Excellent instructions/tip on getting the cap off! Took me about a minute to drill it and thread the screw down to the "d" bolt...The cap backed right out no problem. For kicks, I tried to pull it like you did just for a second. Yeah, wasn't going to budge! Saved me a lot of headache by that technique you did! Now, awaiting on the "d" bolt socket, and new extended fuel screw. Good to know that I will need to trim the t-handle also! (2015 CRF230F)

Nice job on video and explanation. I am going to be installing a Flex Fuel Screw on 2007 Honda 450X. This is most helpful.

Neither method here worked for me to get plug out. So, thinking about resin glue holding it in, decided to apply a little heat with a torch. A few seconds of that and it popped right out almost by itself. Remove plastic float first so you don't melt it.

Asking because I don’t know. I’m guessing because I recently acquired a 2014 crf230f and there’s a carb adjustment with a black knob that seems to allow me to adjust the idle up and down for warm up. It’s on the left side near the choke lever. Is this pilot screw something different? I have a rejetting kit coming in the mail that is supposed to be part of how to “uncork” things and just wondering if I’ll need to do this as well. By the way, I’ve only had this Honda for a month, and I already love it, but I’m sure it’s capable of so much more.

Thanks, great video. Any info on what size drill bit and screw combination worked for you?

Sounds like you need to do some more adjusting with your fuel screw. I'm not a mechanic but the guys over at thumper talk may be able to help you sort it out. Good luck.

ThumperTalk sucks. One guy usually dominate a section of a forum. His opinion will be the known all end all. TH-cam it, you're better off.

Why exactly would people "tamper" with someone's carb? Am I missing something?
