RODE Wireless Pro: A long-term review

- My favorite piece of gear I’ve purchased in the last couple of years is the RODE Wireless Pro. I’ve been using this system for about ten months now, and it has become my go-to for capturing hands-off, high quality audio.
I first picked up the RODE Wireless Pro to film run-and-gun interviews at Labor Fest last year. Since then, I’ve put a lot of hours on these things, and I’ve learned a lot in the process. I’ve used it for the things I bought them for, but I’ve also been surprised by the use cases where I’ll reach for the Wireless Pro because it solves a problem better than another solution.
There are five main areas where I think the RODE Wireless Pro shines, and I’m going to go through them in this video.

Love the video! There is a mic handle that comes with a boom windscreen that would make the interview/handheld mic setup look more professional… also, if I do have to clip to someone’s shirt I simply clip it backwards so the big chunky device is not hanging off the front of the shirt and you only really see the tab, just a thought!

Is the pro the flagship model of the Rode microphones? I’m looking to buy a microphone for my go pro 12 and can’t decide whether to go Rode or DJI mic 2. Rode sounds far better from what I’ve heard on TH-cam.
Of their wireless microphones in this form factor, yes. Between the two, I would go with Rode personally.
