I budget my gardening/landscaping every year. Also, gardener friends , neighbors, friends, co-workers we love to share. I trade surplus plants. (My hasta’s for an Iris’ etc). Over time your garden will be your blessing and we always remember who gave the plants.

Agreed! The view has always been from the house looking out or with the house behind the camera. It was lovely to see it from the garden and see how pretty it is flanked by those enormous trees.

Good Morning! 🌹I will be doing the same thing! I will be moving 20+ Knock Out Roses from my Father in Law's rose garden to my rose garden! The reason is my Father in Law past away last summer, those roses were his pride & joy! He would cut bouquets & bring to my sister in law & me! I promised him I would take care of his roses! I am waiting for our midwest weather to shape so I can start the process! 🙂🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌿

Hi Laura, i love your mom, her voice is just beautiful. my sister in law is Turkish, and she have a beautiful soft voice too. Your video's is so great, i could listen to you all day. Sometimes i do, I watch some of your old videos on the weekends with my laptop on my stomach, and i fall asleep, and your videos are playing over and over, and, my ear phones are in my ears the whole time listening to you talk, sometimes for 2 to 3 hours. lol. keep up the good work.

I just loved this video. Loved your Mom, Benjamin and your parents Cat helping you planting Roses. It is fun to see your Mom in the garden after her injury. I enjoyed that she was a little bundled up against the cold. You seem quite impervious to the cold many times. As I live in Maui, Hawaii Zone 12, I am terrible with colder temperatures. If we hit low 70's I'm putting on a jacket, and maybe a sweater. I like the way your parents property is getting better, you still feel it's yours too. I feel the Roses will be so wonderful in those locations.🌹🌲🙍♂️🐈⬛😍

Oh what a breath of fresh air the new look is giving their garden space. What they had before was beautiful, but that rock wall and open space really looks wonderful! Excited to see those roses blooming and for the flower beds to go in.

I feel your mom's pain about railroad ties. When we moved in our home nearly 25 years ago, that's what lined our driveway. I've always disliked them, but replacing them with something else would be sooo expensive. Your stacked wall is beautiful!

So glad that your momma is doing so much better! That area is going to be so pretty once those roses start to come in. That cypress is gorgeous! We planted two Carolina sapphire cypress at the top of our driveway the year we moved in…they’re doing great and growing FAST!

I can’t wait to see your moms raised beds. I am transitioning to taller beds, from vegega, and am hoping I am not disappointed. I have severe RA and my joints always hurt…but gardening is my sanity and I keep at it. Thank you for your daily inspiration. There are days your videos force me to keep moving!

Yes, keep your family tree growing and add on to the house. My 4 kids are all grownups now, plus 2 spouses, so that 6 grown adults plus us, and 4 grandchildren, with more to come in the future. I need a bigger dining room too. This Easter dinner will be cozy. I'm hoping for a new bigger dining room next year.

I can't wait to get in my yard. We just got another foot of snow over the last week. And we just can't catch a break. Dang it. But my tulips and daffodils and my crocus' are finally popping through and the crocus' bloomed the other day. There are signs of hope. 😊

This is unrelated to this video. I just got a job at a Local garden center and today I unloaded Autumn Blaze Maples and Royal Raindrops crab apple trees. I was so excited to see them and thought to myself “Laura has these!!!” I have learned so much after watching you for the past few years. I look forward to your videos everyday and I appreciate the knowledge that you share because it helps me be better at my new job.

So good to see your mom out in her garden. We have so many deer that I can’t have a garden. Please have your mom always take her phone out with her because uneven gardens can be dangerous for us as we get older. Would love to see the garden when they get it done. Thanks for the update. Boy did this bring back memories. My parents bought 56 bare root rose bushes from Jackson and Perkins, brought them home and a week later my dad died on their wedding anniversary. So I helped plant them with my mom.
