I just recently discovered this song. She is an amazing writer and singer. And she finds just the right words to put on paper. This is a heartbreaking song for someone who doesn't want to fall in love again with the same person that calls him a lot of heartbreak.

Believe it or not Jewel is My Biological Daughter, my family didn't believe that her mother existed when I tried to go to Alaska Christmas vacation 1973, from High School. I met Lanedra at an LRY Conference September 1,1973. After I heard the whisper that the Girl in Alaska had a Daughter and Named her Jewel, my family had me go back to the Hospital a second time June 1974, I was given lithium and electric shock treatments to make me forget what my family called my imaginary wife and daughter Jewelry. On the way to the Hospital I downed 100 Hits of LSD called 4way Window Pane, I tried to kill myself. I woke up out of that acid trip three month's later August 25,1974 after I won my third special Olympic Medals at the sports field of the University of Buffalo N.Y.. And in the Song "Enter from the East" I'm Stranger Blue, And Foolish Game's are the game's Nedra (Lanedra Carroll & Lori Speck aka Laura Gold) Played against ME. Lori is from my hometown of Niagara Fall's N.Y.. LRY stands for Liberal Religious Youth, Google it. Jewel is an LRY Baby. Her mom was raised Mormon and I was Roman Catholic and we met at a Unitarian Church in Toronto Canada on St. Clair Ave.
Speaking as a father with 3 adoptive children, I want to let you know, we all know the pain you feel; we do not take for granted-in anyway-the choice you made. So, may I speak for all parents and children in adoptive families, when I say to you and every mother...THANK YOU! Without your beautiful and selfless gesture, we wouldn't know the meaning of LOVE! I can only hope, that at sometime in your life, you have been blessed in-kind for the LOVE you have bestowed upon us. Shalom
