Yep, they can all beatbox! Check out: 9 to 5 + Beatbox Breakdown (live concert footage). 😊
There is an update from their current concerts tour with a beatbox breakdown and it’s this song. It’s awesome!
A w e s o m e!!!!
The one with the best audio and video is posted by Jeff Schultz. You really should hear their official video of 9 to 5 beforehand, though, to appreciate the live version, which is shot by with a cell phone. It's still great, but it helps to have heard the original. The beatbox breakdown in the recent concert recordings of Listen to the Music are not as interesting to me, though the one posted by Marcia G has good audio and video.
Yes!! 💯
Austin can make electric guitar sounds, bell tones and the nomonica plus several other really good sounds. Rob can whistle like a beautiful bird, sing opera with Austin and rap like a professional. They all can do various things. They are all so very talented. Adam has a beautiful tenor voice but can go very low and very high. He was the one making the really swooping high notes over the top of the others in this one
Their breakdown in "Can't Stop The Feeling" is a wonderful bit of multi-beatboxing that's well worth checking out.
Home Free - 9 to 5 + Beatboxing Breakdown, October 27, 2015. This is a good one for you to listen to. Enjoy!
But I'd say to watch 9 to 5 first.
#HOMEFREE......killed this!
The attached link is the two song encore from a recent HomeFree concert.
At 3:30, is the all percussion breakdown they’ve added to “Listen to the Music”.

Adam Rupp is a great beatboxer, they all do beatboxing. The harmonies are great and Austin with his high tenor is great. I can hear Tim's bass. They are my favorite group and love Home Free. 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love this song. These boys are so talented and can sing any genre.❤️❤️❤️❤️
Austin does harmonica and electric guitar, Chance does jaw harp and electric and bass guitar, Tim the bass guy does bass guitar, Rob does drums and Adam is the freak of nature with crazy skills on sounds
It's absolutely true. They all can beatbox. They even have a video for it. These guys are crazy. That's why they are the best out there.
Of all the ocepella groups Home Free is for me
Yup. #HomeFryForLife
💯💯💯💯🤟🤠🤟
Love these guys so much! They are so extremely talented. They do different genres. Check out their cover of End of The Road by BOYZ II Men. It will blow your mind! The Dobie Brothers would be so very proud. Love your reaction!
Adam Rupp makes the sound of a harmonica Man of Constant Sorrow but the sound you hear at the very beginning and the very end of the song is the jews harp done by Adam Chance. (Actually the very first sound you hear sound like a needle dropping on a record. I've heard that is done by Rob.)
Depending on whether you consider it "beatboxing", beyond traditional beatboxing (which they all can do) they can also do instrument sounds because you pretty much have to in Acapella. Austin does a really good electric guitar. Tim mimics a bass guitar in most songs. Also, how could you hang out with Adam Rupp for years and not at least pick up some techniques?
Adam Rupp (beatboxer) also had the really high "ooo-ooo" in the slow section of the song that you said was so nice. ("Like a lazy flowin river... Ooo-ooo...") They're all very talented and can all do many different things.
Adam Rupp - beatboxer and general sound effects
Austin Brown - high tenor and often the lead, though it varies. They all will sing lead and then determine who is the better fit for the song
Adam Chance - baritone/bass/sound effects
Rob Lundquist - velvety toned tenor
Tim Foust - bass with a five octave range
Their version of Folsom Prison Blues is also great
Great reaction! Thanks!
Listen to when a man loves a woman drums are outstanding
Yes Adam ( beatboxer) was the one doing the harmonica ( his Nomonica ) in the last video. He does it live at concerts Austin (first singer ) can do it too and joins Adam.
The second Adam is Adam Chance but everyone calls him Chance less confusion.
On "Man of Constant Sorrow" Chance does the "jaw harp" that sounds like a didgeridoo in the intro and you can see him doing it on the porch as the song winds down.
Man of Constant Sorrow is one of Home Free's best videos.
@@mamiemartinson4649 outro is when you see Chance doing it
I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds.
Their harmonies are Always on point…quite Incredible ♥️‼️♥️🎵🎶🎵🎶‼️🔥❤️🔥🔥…..Oh, yes…it was Adam Rupp…oh, & he taught Austin to do the NOMONICA… (they did at the last concert I was at, the end of March, this year… Too Fun)‼️‼️‼️❤️🔥🔥❤️🔥
Oh, their latest release is Amazing ‼️‼️‼️…”VINCENT”….with Don McLean… it’s Soooo Awesome ‼️‼️‼️❤️🔥🔥❤️🔥…Beautiful & Sad… gives me chills & tears---&, Adam Tupp sings…🔥❤️🔥🔥‼️
Love #HomeFree
Yes, they all can beatbox at least a little. Check out the live version of this song. It's fan footage, but pretty cool. Also their much older live version if 9 to 5.
#HOMEFREE
This is a good one!!! Seems it features the beatboxer Adam Rupp!!! When you mention the hums -- and the upper highs; well, the upper highs and the "techno" lows were all Adam Rupp along with the scratching stuffs he does. They all can beatbox -- the offerings by others. Like in the "Man of Constant Sorrow" which you called right the "Jews/Jaw/Mouth Harp was by Adam Chance (goes by Chance = less confusion). The LIVE of that song is ridiculous - the "Nomonica" is done by Adam Rupp and Austin Brown (together). Ummmm -- Not to let too much outta the bag, these guys are VERSATILE ya might say!!!! Be Safe
Can they all do beatboxing? Check out their "9 to 5 With Beatboxing Breakdown"...
Yup, they can - not to the same extent as Adam of course. See "9-5 Beatbox Breakdown" & "Joy to the World Hosannah" (both are live videos). You haven't seen enough HF videos yet to watch "Mayday Live" - after you've seen several more, you can watch it.
❤🤠#HomeFree. Yes all can beatbox and all can sing. Great reaction.🏠🍟
Love Home Free, can we re visit VoicePlay, their beatboxed is awesome too, Valhalla Calling all the sounds including the door creaking is Layne, the beat boxer. ✌️
Home Free is great.
Their How Great Thou Art gave my husband chills & he's hard to impress.
Austin and Rob do Cowboys singing Nessum Dorma. It's billed as "try" but it's a solid performance, no try about it
However, Voice Play are the Theater Kids of Acappella. *Queen in 5 Minutes is a good start.
*Hall of the Mountain King is a capella version of a famous orchestral tune and hilarious
*Dragon Born is from a video game so they are fully costumed and sing in the Elvish language from the game.
*Valhalla Calling is one of their best and has a surprise or two
My favorite group!!!!! ❤❤❤
This is one of my favorite of theirs
Yes! There's a video of them doing 9 to 5 and the have beatbox off.
Yes they can all beatbox. React to 9-5 live version with beatboxing! Amazing
#HomeFree 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes, they can all beatbox to a degree. Adam is the beatboxer extraordinaire and can do drums, harmonica, castanets, all kinds of sounds. Austin (lead here) can also do harmonica (I’ve seen him do it live), guitar sounds. Tim, bass with gray hair, can do birds, low sounds. Chance, baritone (he had the ball cap on) can do didgeridoo (or Mongolian throat singing). I’ve seen him do that live too. Rob, glasses, can also beatbox (I don’t know what you call his sound). Home Free is known for great tight harmonies. 😄
😂Chance does the Juice Harp, not the didgeridoo.
The other four can do some basic beatbox and Adam Rupp has a beautiful singing voice.
Yes they all can beat box! Listen to their live version of 9 to 5 with best box breakdown
Yes. You can see this in the live version of 9 to 5
ttthat's Adam Rupp. He is fantastic.. Have you one "How Great thou Art?
Adan Rupp is the Beatboxer Goes by Adam. Adam Chance the Baritone / Bass goes by Chance so there is no confusion. Austin Brown with the long brown hair and beard is the High Tenor. Rob Lundquist is a Tenor with a beautiful tone to his voice. Tim Faust is the Bass but has a 5 range voice.
Check out 9 to 5 with the beatboxing breakdown
Adam Chance. He goes by Chance to differentiate from Adam Rupp, who is one of the best B boxers in the business, but who can also sing a very nice higher tenor. Chance covers baritone-bass, short dark beard, first vocal on Folsom Prison Blues.Tim Foust, bass extraordinaire all the way up to very respectable tenor (My Maria and Mayday). Rob Lundquist, baritone- tenor, big beard. Austin Brown, lead in Man of Constant Sorrow. Unfortunately, he will be leaving the group. He and Rob actually sing the opera song Nessun Dorma together.(Two country singers try to sing opera) Cried first time I heard it, so jaw-dropping unexpected and beautiful! Rob had classical training in college, Austin could easily sing musical theatre. The group's catalog from over the years is pretty big, with originals as well as covers. You'd get a lot of recommendations!
YES
I'm trying to catch up with you. Work was hectic this weekend so I need some positive vibes ❤🎉
💃🏻🕺
They are REALLY good!
Adam Rupp, beat boxer, is doing the high vocals when he isn’t actively laying down a beat
Really great reaction.... I like you take on a lot of things. Since your getting into these guys, try "Elvira" with the oak ridge boys.... The other really good one I think you might like is "Ring of Fire" If you like boys 2 men, you might enjoy their version of "end of the road"
🔥
Have you watched Adam's drum solo/beatbox video? It's AMAZING!
Adam used to have a video on how he got that sound. (Harmonica)
Yes, all can beatbox.
Adam Rupp is arguably the best beatboxer in the world and Tim Foust is arguably the best Bass in the world. However, combined they are undoubtedly the best rhythm section in the world.
Barber Shop quartet should never be used when speaking about an acapella group. I know a reactor who made this comparison when they first started reacting to pentatonix. It took him about a year to shake it. I enjoyed your reaction and I subscribed
yes They can all do some beatboxing.
Watch 9 to 5 Live and you will see it.
No, just Adam Rupp. The other guys make some sound effects
I think this is their best cover. But so many of their covers are better than the originals. They take advantage of being able to build out from the originals. They don't skimp on production. I wish they would stay away from auto-tuning. They don't need it.
