This was filmed during Covid - Austin's looking at (now) wife Amberly who was in the studio. The original Percy Sledge version has the line "I gave you everything I had" - Austin sings "I'll give you everything I've got". A subtle but significant change. I've always loved the original & I think the late Percy Sledge would approve of this version.
Austin did a great job on this song. Austin is the best high tenor. The harmonies are great and they are great singers of Home Free. I can hear Tim's low bass voice. I love Home Free and they are my favorite group. 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is perfection at its finest...Austin brought out every bit of soul in his body for this one...the back up vocals...there's just nothing that compares to these guys!
Love Austin in this one! I know he is looking at Amberly when he sings this, but it when he looks out at the camera it feels like he is looking at you!! Makes you melt!🥵🫠 Austin is justt beautiful!!❤❤❤ So gorgeous!! One reactor said he was not letting his wife see this one!🤣🤣 Great reaction, thank you for that!!❤❤
This is definitely an Austin-song! Adam Rupp majored in trumpet performance in college. He learned the drums to enhance his beatboxing skills. Then there's the piano (after all, his mom teaches piano), and then he also picked up the bass guitar.
Yes this was a pandemic video. Darren Rust is the one who puts their music together and always does an amazing job . The guys all have the equipment and studios( mostly in their closets ) in their homes Adam is different he has a room he calls his Beat Room . They did their parts and send to Darren or connect directly to Darren. Considering they all live quite far apart Chance is in California Adam and Rob Minnesota Tim and Austin Tennessee
As a woman who had been married over 36 yrs. I can tell you.... definitely go do common dude shit! It helps keep our men the same men we fell in love with‼️🤗 Awesome reaction ‼️
Amberly, was in the studio, standing next to the camera when Austin was singing. So he was giving those looks directly to her. When Chris left the group in 2016 and they brought in Adam Chance, that worked out great. It is hard to imagine at this point how they will ever be able to replace Austin, but I am sure the group will continue to grow and do well.
Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
Oh my! We are gonna miss Austin in Home Free! But I’m sure they’ll find someone amazing. Kind of like when Chris Rupp left and Chance came in. They have very different vocal tones, but both filled their parts well.
Btw,I loved 2 1/2 Men,I fully remember that episode,AND I own the Michael Bolton version of this song on CD,lol😂😂😂Percy Sledge was good too though, nothin like the original.its just a great song, but personally I love this version because I feel like Austin poured his entire soul into singing the lead!! 😃🎶❤️✌🏻
Never cared for this song. The Michael Bolton version made me fear for his vocal chords. Still don't care for the song, but the boys killed it. Great backing vocals. Percussion perfection. And Austin just flying off into the stratosphere like it's nothing. Good job, boys.
Hi, I love your channel. react to the group Little Mix please, described as the biggest girl group in the world of this generation, some video suggestions from them!!💜🤩👇🏼 Acapella Queens Falling (Harry Styles cover) Love on the brain (Rihanna cover) Secret Love Song (The Search) I wanna dance with somebody (Whitney Houston Cover) Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana cover) With these 5 videos you will see what the mixes are capable of!!!
Not even close. Definitely not in voice, nor personality cause Austin never stops smiling and dancing . Peter will never ever top that So HF would be better off getting a female in the group, cause any male singer Would continuously be compared to Austin. Unless Chris Rupp rejoins. 🤨
He did, but Percy Sledge made it a hit in 1966. It was his biggest hit. Bolton was OK, but Austin? Austin hit it out of the park. Home Free doesn't do covers. They do upgrades. Nobody like the men of Home Free.
@@GaiaOneI'm aware, thanks. I didn't say Bolton recorded it first I don't think. I just said what it reminded me of. And it still does. Appreciate the correction 🤷♂️
Yeah, it's just 'cause I'm old and remember Percy Sledge. So many folks assume that Michael Bolton sang it first, not realizing how old that song actually is. If you've never heard Percy do it, you should check it out. You'll understand why it was such a hit. Austin just mastered that song, just sang the hell out of it. I don't doubt for a minute that the fact he was singing to his girl, who was just off camera, gave such emotional depth to his rendition. You certainly could see it.
We will miss Austin soo much!! He’s so talented and gifted…he slayed this song!!🎶❤️✌🏻
They killed this especially Austin. He's going to be missed😢
Austin OWNED this song! Best rendition ever.❤

Austin killed this! I am sure Percy Sledge would be so very proud. the harmonies and beat boxing were par excellence. Love your reaction! #HOMEFREE

The late great Percy Sledge(who recorded it first) would be so proud of this upgrade. Home Free hit a home run on this.
Austin in all his epicness!! Incredible
❤️👍
My favorite version. Also...Swoon. Thanks for the Home Free reactions
❤🤠#HomeFree.🥰😍 Austin is amazing. Great reaction 🏠🍟

Amberly was in the room when he sang this.
COOL!
That was incredible! I think Michael Bolton would be proud. I would totally melt into oblivion if someone sang this song like that to me.
Percy Sledge was de the first who made it hit in the 60's

Goosebumps the whole song! I have a very high bar for this song being covered! It is hard to match Percy but Austin comes as close as anyone 🥰❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻

comingled
Austin ❤ been singing like
this WAY b4 Amberly .
But she was the focus for his looks n grins
It's Percy Sledge brother not Bolton!
I didn't say Bolton first recorded it. I'm aware thanks
You are right about Amberly (his girlfriend) she was in the studio watching him sing this :). Great reaction🎉
If you want to react to something really great by Austin Brown react to “Bring Him Home” WARNING: bring tissues😢 Great reaction🎉

Yes that look was for her! Amberly was right in front 😊😊 I've seen a lot of female reactors say this is a panty dropper 😊😊
You forgot to mention the original singer Percy Sledge.

My 2 cents. Peter Hollens maybe could vocally match Austin but it is also about personalities and who knows what they want in that area of focus. hj
Not even close.
Definitely not in voice, nor personality cause
Austin never stops smiling and dancing .

@@Graniepanies I addressed both. I am quite familiar with Peter's voice, just not sure about personality, as stated. hj
Nope. Not Bolton. Percy Sledge, 1966.
Michael Bolton didn't sing this song?

Percy Sledge was the original version and better than Michael Bolton.
