    With this freeze coming and my onions from y'all are still quite young with several new leaves, do I need to mulch them with straw or will they be ok in below freezing temps? Thanks much!

      They will be fine , unless it gets under 20. Then I would cover.

      Mulch with straw around the bulbs. Onions are good down to about 20 degrees F.

      @@gardeningwithhoss Thanks! our lowest last night was 25. They did fine. I plan to mulch them tomorrow with straw bc we have some snow possibly on Thursday. 😫😖 I just don’t want to lose them. Everything looked GREAT 2 days ago. I hate cold. 🥶

    I was just thinking about this stuff today because where I live at in Kentucky. We have got nothing but rain for the last 3 days, and we're expecting rain for the next week. My garlic is taking a pounding.I'm afraid i'm going to lose it.
