Just wanted to thank you for increasing the variety of my edible vegetables. I never thought about eating cauliflower greens until you talked in a video about all the various greens you all eat. I looked at the fair sized cauliflower plants that I was going to thin out and thought, “Why not?” They were really good. Thanks for the inspiration.
The plant doesn't care what kind of fertilizer you use. It doesn't know synthetic from organic from compost. All it cares about is whether or not it's getting whatever nutrients it needs. The rest is what the master gardener who taught me called "feeding the gardener's ego"...
You always have such good step by step info for us, especially for the southern grower. Thank you! BTW my red snapper and roadster tomatoes have lost their minds in my central west coast Florida garden 👍🏻❤
The ones in our high tunnel are still growing okay. The ones in the field we've lost about 1/3 of them. Hoping this hard freeze doesn't kill the rest of them in the field.
I heard some of you guys say the onion tops won't look that great in the cold weather, but the bulb will be growing well. Is that true of the garlic too? My Elephant Garlic has been looking a little pale. I'm about to come back with some Ammonium Sulfate today. Thanks Jenny
Sorry to hear that. Now we all just need to keep our onion plants alive during this cold, wintry blast🥶

That's awesome! I'm so glad you were able to try something new.
Came over from the Texas Garden Guy enjoyed the show!
Welcome, thanks for joining us
I just got my order of intermediate onions from you just yesterday. Before we got hit with this huge snowstorm in kentucky.
Have you ever planted them this late? I'd love to know, because I'd love to plant some too if they'd work.
Got my small sprouts subscription ordered this is great thank you
That’s awesome!
You have really helped me grow big onions. Appreciate the advice.
We're so glad you’ve had success!
Thanks so much for all of the valuable gardening information you put out friend 👍
My pleasure
Thank you.. much needed information!
We're glad you found it helpful!
Very good!
Placed my Hoss order today Greg. Have a great growing year.
Awesome! Thank you!
Appreciate the video. I will never use synthetic fertilizer. Compost is best for the soil organisms

@lancer525 soil is a living organism. Synthetics are harmful to soil, water, organisms etc. All Master Gardners know this.

Sounds like you’re having a great season!
Do we suppose to cover the onions for winter weather
They are good down to 20 degrees F.
Should we mulch during this extra cold January? I’m 8B Mississippi and mine went in the ground in December.
It would not hurt.

We need to take Canada so we can force them to keep their cold. I wonder how big of a wall we'd need.
Is it too late to plant onion starts in N Fl
No, it is not too late.

Yes, absolutely, ours is very yellow also.
Got 10 inches of snow yesterday
WOW
My onions look exactly the way they looked when I got them from you and planted them......several died.
Sorry to hear that. Make sure you are following our fertilizer schedule found in our onion growing guide.
