We hit a high of 37° today. I worked out in the high tunnel for a couple hours. It was beautiful and warm. Almost everything I planted at the end of November is up. It did take quite a bit longer for the seeds to sprout as the soil was running between 40°- 45°. I consider the experiment a success
The Old Goat is hiding behind a seed packet (possibly framed) on the middle shelf behind Mama Hoss. It went to 21 here last night, but my garlic & collards seem to be fine. We are supposed to get a wintery mix of snow & freezing rain overnight. Stay warm!
I really enjoy tea but I am allergic to normal tea. and can only have it once a week. I never thought of making my own tea with plants I am not allergic too. The old goat is hiding on the second shelf behind Mrs. Hoss. Most of the herbs on your list I have never heard of. Awesome. I think using a container garden would be best for herbs. I did grow herbs one year in number 10 cans and that worked great. wow, about the flag.
I plan to grow as many new herbs as I can. I bought your herb cans. I love them. Thank you! The old goat is behind one of the tins on the second shelf 3rd from the right.
Tracie and Genes honey is the best I’ve ever had. Been putting it in my hot tea. It’s on their website for sale also. The freeze dried rosella tea looked amazing. I’d love a lesson on how to grow, process,😮 and use the stevia plant. The slip up about time tickled me. Love you guys to pieces! Stay warm and live happy. 👩🌾💚🌻
I bury my kitchen food waste in my compost pile. Here in NE Illinois today the ground is frozen about 6 inches deep so I had to use my pick mattock to break up the frozen tundra to be able to dig a deep enough hole with a spade to bury today's stuff.
Can we get a recipe for your Roselle tea? I grew it for the first time this year, made loads of jelly and freeze dried some. .I cant wait for your St. Kitts variety.
Old goat behind a seed pack middle shelf on right behind her. My broccoli, cabbage, Brussels, collards doing great. Vidoras and reds recovered from the poor shipping rot but the Texas sweet onions were a total loss and never recovered. They were all mush when I picked them up. Happy new year to all
Good evening, folks, staying warm and bundled up here in east Georgia. I'm doing some spring garden planning tonight. Looks like the ole goat is hiding amongst the seed collections above Mama Hoss. Stay warm.

Thanks again for the subject. I have a question for you that I hope you can help me with since I have moved to the south I cannot get my dill plants to flower in time for my cucumbers for pickling. Please tell me the trick…. the dates to plant and how to deal with growing DILL for making pickles in zone 9
Plant them early and keep them watered. Dill will start to flower and produce seeds once warmer weather arrives with summer. You can plant dill again in the fall. For those of you with milder winters, you can begin growing dill in the late fall and throughout the winter months. Dill will start to flower once the weather warms in the spring

Garlic chives are great on potatoes and in soups and crab or potato salads. They can become invasive and are definitely perennial. I love them.
