    This is one of the best videos I've seen online explaining all the uses for this women's pack. Thank you so much. It's way better than the little guide book you get with the pack. Explained some features I didn't understand!

    Thanks for leaving this up! My pack is from 2011 and I haven't used it in years - about to go on a 3 day trip and trying to remember all the features.

    Hi Backcountry Edge! I would like you to make a video comparing the Aether/Ariel V.S the new Aether AG/Ariel AG. I own the Ariel 65, and I would like to upgrade to the AG version. I want to know the pros and cons and you opinions about both of them. Thank you!!

    Hi, the pack in this video is great, but I just want more options so that I do not feel like this is the only choice. what are some great light weight backpacks for long trips, for women that have a 17" torso? Would really love access to the water station from the outside, along with a magnet clip for the hose for easy access. As well as, more than one way to access the main compartment of the pack. And a second pack, similar features, but for a male.

    Hi there,
    I really do appreciate if you could make a review on the Tatonka Rucksack. I owned the Yukon and Isis, and they are really good. Perhaps we can make such exposure on the Brand. 😁
    BTW, Great review!

    Thanks for the info! I am trying to decide between the 65 and 75. The weight difference is only 2 ounces between packs. I generally do 5-7 back country trips but am also considering winter trips this year. Which way do you think I should go?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Amira Z Thanks for the question. Any time you plan on doing winter camping and adventuring you should consider a little extra capacity in the pack. Winter gear always takes up more space, unfortunately. That being said, if you spend more of your time out in warm/cool temperatures where you don't need that gear, the larger capacity may be a burden. Some folks tend to over-pack if the pack capacity is larger than what they need. If you can swing leaving a few odds and ends behind to make room for heavier winter items, go with the smaller pack. If you're thinking that you'll need to max out your gear for colder weather adventures, go slightly larger. It's a hard balance to find but whichever way you go the pack will perform!

    Hi Becky,
    Thank you for the awesome video. After viewing your reviews for both the Aura and the Ariel Osprey backpacks, I really don't know which one to get. I am going on a 6 month trip and visiting 6 countries along the way. I am looking to purchase the 65L in either of these packs. I like the extra pockets in the Aura but also like the versatility of the Ariel. Which pack would you recommend?
    Thank you in advance.

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Wander Luster The Aether and Ariel packs differ a lot in their features. The Ariel is much more of a long-haul style pack and is designed to hold more weight comfortably. It also has more access points so you can get to your gear from the top, front, or bottom. The Aura has access but only from the top and bottom. The Ariel also sports a really neat hood that can be removed and used as a small day pack, the Aura does not have this feature. Another neat feature about the Ariel is that the parts can be changed to customize the fit. This allows the wearer to get the best fit possible from their pack. The Aura is adjustable, but is not able to be fully customized. For a trip where you'll need a multi-functional pack, the Ariel may provide the better functionality. Especially if the gear you plan to take happens to be heavier. Thanks for watching!

    Do you have other good recommendations for front loading backpacks. I found some are not lightweight thus makes long hike feels too uncomfortable.

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Front loading packs are not the lightest of the bunch. If you're looking for lightweight, and front loading isn't the most important feature, check out some of these options: th-cam.com/video/brzVRQnd5m8/w-d-xo.html

    I’ve just bought the osprey ariel 65 ag and it doesn’t have an external hydration pouch??

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The newer versions of this pack have an internal hydration reservoir sleeve. This video is a little dated so it won't be accurate for the current Ariel AG 65. Happy Trails!

  • @michaelasteele6165

    Really confused and can’t decide between AG and airscape version. Airscape is the newer version so is there a reason they ditched the AG? Any recommendations or anyone have experience with both? Thanks!

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Michaela, currently Osprey offers their AG suspension in the Aura AG 65 pack. The Anti-Gravity back panel is designed to wrap around your body for a fully integrated fit. The Ariel 65 with the Airscape back panel offers maximum stability for carrying heavy loads and has the most adjustability. Both packs include a fit-on-the-fly adjustable hip belt, but the Ariel also includes adjustable shoulder straps for a precise fit. You can check out the Aura 65 here: www.enwild.com/osprey-aura-ag-65-women-s-2018.html?Category_Code=backpacking-packs-7

    I'm surprised the two waist pockets aren't water sealed. Who would put a cell phone in there? Other than that it's a great pack.

    hey great review. just wanna ask,i am a man with small body.it is suitable for me to buy this bag?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Smaller men and some younger backpackers can certainly use this bag, but keep in mind the shoulder straps and hip belt are contoured specifically for a woman's shape. You may find them to be slightly less-than-ideal as a male.

    whats best for 5'4 man height? need some answers im a new guy abt backpacking

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Danilo Baladad Thanks for the question. Height isn't as important when sizing a pack. The most important measurement to begin to figure out size is the torso measurement. Packs are generally sized to fit different torso sizes, so obtaining that measurement will be the first step to getting a proper fit.

    Hi I just bought a backpack that looks just like this. It is a Ariel 65, but at 4:09 you show that it`s possible to remove the top lid and use it as a hip pack. Mine does not have the things that clicks it of( dont know the word for it) It does have the belt to put around the waiste thoug. Is it possible to connect "clicks" to the straps to make come of easy? Thank you

    • @Pseudochick01
      @Pseudochick01 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Akita82 I think you bought the 3rd generation of this pack, so there's no clips. You just have to undo the straps under behind the top lid.

    Here is better to ask what I did in another video. Does this one fit for a petit girl? (5'1'' - 1,55 cm). I have been looking for the 55 with no success so far, to check the difference, but this one, even tho felt confortable, I thought it was too big for me. Which could be suitable for my height? Considering also that I will be traveling for 5 months! Thanks!

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Carolina Andrea Avilés Fernández Thank you for your response. The Osprey Ariel does come in different sizes based upon the users torso length. Size XSmall will fit a torso length of 16 inches or less. Additionally, the Ariel has custom sized components so the user can choose the size hipbelt and harness.

    Hi! Is it possible to adjust S size backpack to fit toroso M size? I want to buy it, Ifound S size for really good price but my body measurements are for M size.

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If one is on the cusp between S and M, many manufacturers recommend sizing down to allow for the most adjustment options. However, it is not possible to adjust the torso any further than the size allows, and wearing the wrong size may cause the hipbelt to rest at the wrong location and not transfer the load properly.

    Is it lighter than the Gregory Deva? I'm not sure which one to get. I really like all the features the Deva offers, but if it's too heavy that's a deal breaker for me and might go for the Ariel instead

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Ariel is slightly lighter than the Deva. Both packs will grant excellent comfort, load stability, and plenty of features. Neither is a bad choice.
