- Well folks, here it is, a lovely water crossing attempt by two Jeeps. The 4Runner has made it through this before, but honestly I was a bit nervous since I don't have a snorkel like some of the other rigs and I didn't want to hydrolock it.
Water crossings are tricky when you can't see the depth or know the composition of the bottom. I would only risk that one if I could walk across it first, and who wants to do that.

Tricky thing about beaver ponds is you never know when you're going to fall into one of their submerged runs and they can be deep! Enjoyed watching, y'all probably made the smart choice, maybe not as much fun but smart just the same.
Never seen it done like that before...did he try to go forward while the other guy was backing up? Seems like a difficult orchestra between the two drivers.
Just put in 4l and send it. As i thini to myself "nah i wouldn't put my xj in that " 😂
What's the point of having a snorkel?!?!?! Or whyyyyyyy would you even attempt it if the backup guy doesn't have a snorkel?????
Lithuanian GLOCK31_NH420 does it make my TJ 4.0L water proof if it has snorkel?
@Lithuanian GLOCK31_NH420 you need a few things to waterproof your Jeep: manual transmission ( much difficult with an automatic), snorkel, extend your breather tubes, and spray water repellent in your electronics if they're near the waterline ( like the Rubicon electronic sway bar).

I've seen more with a lesser vehicle in Columbia, Venezuela, Panama cut through rivers, ponds and this nasty mud! These two jeeps can definitely handle it!

This was probably pretty hard when you consider that they couldn't tell how deep the water was or how messy the terrain was under the water.
Better change out the gear oil in those axles. Extend the axle breather hoses it costs 10 bucks it’s super easy.

It's called a Jeep not a submarine dipshit. The vehicle isn't water tight. If you get stuck with water above the window line you've destroyed every electrical system in the car.
Yeah that’s why I don’t get the snorkel thing... electronics, Fuze box will be under water way before. not to mention water inside the Jeep.

nathan sunnaa I've wheeled with him before, impressive rig. Everyone was nervous due to the water level. There are logs in there as well. I've done it twice, it's a serious crossing for sure.

Breakdown is a word for machine that performs, that shows it's capabilities, not for fancy machines whose owners pretend to be pushing them to the limits. I live in India. Try googling about the Land Rovers of Darjeeling. You will understand what I mean. These Land Rovers here are older than any Jeep, made to ferry people and goods up and down tricky mountain roads everyday, used like a workhorse for decades, need barely any maintenance. Most of their original owners have died but the Land Rovers go on.

Roxor does not belong to Tata motors it is another company called Mahindra, and they made jeeps like the CJ under licence from Ford. Later started making their own models which were basically cheap replicas. Roxor sucks by the way I know. But you can't say the same for Land Rover. Original Jeeps were great no doubt, but I have friends with both wrangler and Rover and I feel Rovers are slightly better, sorry. And you guys (Allies) would be speaking German, not us Indians if the allied forces lost. Tow strap during a crossing? You couldn’t make it the first time because #2 is holding you back.....loose the tow strap. This is embarrassing to other Jeep owners. Oh isn’t that a snorkel? Sell the Jeep and buy a Tesla 😂😂
