  • Camping at Potato Rock is always a fun getaway! Just a few hours road trip from Jeddah or KAUST, getting out into the dunes of Mastorah and the rocks around Potato Rock are a perfect overnight getaway with your 4x4. We went camping with friends, and had a great time in one of Saudi Arabia's many deserts near our home.

We’re Eric and Ashley, an American couple who has spent the last 7 years living and working in Saudi Arabia. We’ve traveled a TON in the time we’ve been here, and we've decided to finally do some real exploring in the country we’re fortunate enough to call home for now.
As Saudi Arabia is finally opening up for tourism, we’re taking the chance to experience both the famous and off-the-beaten path the Kingdom has to offer. Our goal is to show you the uniqueness of the country and inspire you to set out on your own adventures - whether in remote corners of the world or just down the road from your home.

Loved this video and loved going to Potato Rock with you! Gabriel was so cute running up behind you to see the fox den. It looked like a sliced potato to me. Did Eric ever convince Gideon to taste it to see if it tasted like a potato too?

I really wish Gabriel and I had seen a fox peeking out of the den!

Hey guys, I do some hiking every Friday in the King Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve near Riyadh, during summers and winters. Most creatures hibernate during winter except for some mammals and birds. Around May, snakes, scorpions start to come out but only after the sunsets. The desert sleeps at day time and is scary and alive at night. Don’t set your camp near any ground holes or big rocks. Most venomous creatures hide there.

I'm afraid when you go back to America and they ask you what is Islam and you can't answer and you've been living in Saudi Arabia for years, it will be very frustrating for your family and friends.
I suggest watching some dialogue channels between Muslim preachers to explain Islam to non-Muslims, such as the Muslim Lantern channel, the One Message Foundation channel, the DawahIsEasy channel, and Shamsi and Sheikh Muhammad al-Tarawna's dialogues with non-Muslims.
Enjoy your time among your brothers, Saudi Arabia is a beautiful and great country.
I like to watch the lessons of some American Muslims, such as: Dr.Tahir Wyatt, Abdullah Smith, Saajid Lipham, Joe Bradford ,Nicholas Pelletier, Yusuf Estes
