Good job man, I was not expecting it to come out that well. In hindsight, do you wish you'd removed the old cover first?

If I had to redo it, I would still keep the old cover. The old cover does a few things:
Makes the wheel slightly thicker
Gives the wrap more friction so that it stays in place.
