just got my first bimmer and rust is a major issue. seeing i could put a day or 2 of work into it is encouraging

klein excellent work you have done on the e46 for the first time it has been quite great, I hope that arm is already great and soon we will see the finished project, I am waiting for my powerflex silentblocks and when I have them I will try to upload an explanatory video of the assembly and benefits since in the end I have ordered all the silent blocks crazy, but hey it is what pamper our toys has, I send you a hug from malaga (spain) and what I said excellent video as always

Nice job, but you should use polyurethane sealant that last longer and usually its overpaintable, designed for automotive use; i work as coachbuilder.

Hi man, I have the exact same rust on the left rear arch and I wanna tackle it these days. How is your repair holding up in the present, a year later?
still looks good went over one winter now with our salty roads, i would suggest to delete the studs that sit in the rear fenders to prevent it from rusting again or to slow it down at least, the rear bumper alignment studs are what cause the rust to start in the first place for the rear quarters

@@_mrklein ok im legitamly torn to pieces over my e46 since its rusting. whole inner lip on the rear wheel wells are rusted like yours and its similar but its moving back to in-between the bumper and quarter panels.
@@silas.anderson You fixed the rust? my 330ci is starting to rust aswell. Luckily the inner lips on the rear arches have been taken care of early in the cars life and the gap has been filled with silicone not allowing dirt buildup
@@blubden7732 nope :( think ill cut my loss and sell it and i hope to find a clean 335i.... also seems hard to find. i want a manual one and 2 door but that combo is impossible to find a well priced and not bad cosmetically or mechanically one
