Gray and dull sky, Never gives warmth to others, Colorless boring sky, Just sitting there, Waiting for the night. There he is, painting that tree. Gray and dull tree, Never enjoyed the sunlight, Never enjoyed the rain, Just sitting there, Waiting for the withering. There he is, painting that houses. Gray and dull houses, Never sheltered memories, Never sheltered a smile, Just sitting there, Waiting for another visitor. There he is, looking at his painting. Gray and dull painting, Never meant for someone, Never meant to be beautiful, Just to pass time, Waiting for yet another boring day. Also,, im having a hard time with the title so i just put painter.
The editing is extremely unsettling - in a very good way. It relates well to the poem, but the music is off putting. I'm not saying it's a bad track, but in my opinion it just doesn't feel quite right for the poem itself. I understand if you're trying to bring a musical flare, but a song with lots of modern beats doesn't match so well with bukowski's era or theme. I instantly subscribed to your first video because I love your editing and choice of images and how well they relate to the words, but the music slightly killed the scene here - just a tip :)
It was actually really hard to come with a decision about the music for this one. I had two options and the other one was a little more classical, but I ended up choosing this one because I thought the other one would be too "calming" maybe? I don't know, with Bukowski's poems is always hard to choose the music I think. Especially because I think that the music is a big factor for the editing and the mood of the poem. Why did you name this "The Dark Edge" when its called the suicide kid??? Clickbait?? Having us think this is a poem we haven't heard from Charles? Trying to avoid demonetization? But he says suicide in the video..And if you are trying to monetize off of his work thats fucked up.
will always love charlie to pieces but this is the worst video i have ever seen in my life-e not good advice for any young kids who have not seen or read half of it - completle out of context, fuckin hell charlie saw the light in all the worst of darkness , there are these days but fight through it and you will find the light - at the bottom of a bottle he didnt find it but he used the bottle to connect to a gher power - some call it god, he was not alone anymore when he wrote - he felt connectet to a higher power! never ever give up kids.. . but stop tryin ; )
