He looks so... tough and I don't know, if I see someone looking like Tom Hardy on the street, I wouldn't be able to strike a conversation easily. But the way he talks is almost gentle, he's polite and humble, acknowledging the hard work of the stunts and those carrying those heavy equipments and vehicles. Such an amazing person.
"I'm just a 'very small cog' in a very big machine." Most other actors/actresses would never say that because they believe 'they're' the ones that they are the machine. Tom just seems a down to earth guy, very modest of his extraordinary acting abilities. A British national treasure.
***** a pro who showed up three hours late to set every day and held up the entire cast and crew. (this according to the director of photography.) i love hardy but he threw a massive fit on the set of the movie, clashed with miller, and alienated himself from everyone else (including theron, who hated him). i wouldn't say he's a pro. gifted actor? definitely. but if his behavior doesn't improve, more filmmakers will begin to wonder whether it's worth the risk to cast him in one of their films. (he has a history of clashes with filmmakers; he threw a fit on the set of 'bronson' and swore never to work with refn again; he had punch-outs with numerous actors and directors; etc.)
+johnulcer Tom is said to be a little difficult to work with and we don't know for sure how everyone felt about the situation. To give everyone some credit, they were all in the desert working hard to bring someone else's image to life the best they could. They're human, I'm sure they had their occasional rifts.
Swol BrohamLincoln have you seen him in Bronson? proper nut job in handlebar mustache and shaved head, butt naked and covered head to toe in blood and boot polish. many more disturbing scenes besides
I'm fucking hyped for the next Mad Max movie I heard it's gonna center on him this time and omg somebody hold me Tom Hardy is gonna be the death of meee
he looks like bane again. he is a very talented actor and very wanted at the moment. i remember him ever since star trek and he has grown as an actor so much. he was bane, mad max soon will play elton john, sam fisher...this guy will become huge in the future and i think he'll get an oscar nomination for revenant
BatmanFANizationReborn Dude the oscar race will be crazy. Leo, Will Smith, Eddie Redmayne(yes again) etc. but Tom HArdy has had numerous roles over the past years he could have been nominated for and won: Warrior, Bronson, The Drop, Locke, etc. But yeah I am excited for Revenant too. Tarantino's Hateful Eight could potentially make some noise too...
BatmanFANizationReborn Will has a movie called Concussion coming out on Christmas Day its about this Dr. who investigates how American football players suffer from major head injuries and life-long debiliating problems as a result of repeated concussions and efforts by the National Football League (NFL) to deny it. Eddie has a film called The Danish Girl comng in November. Personally, I think the Academy is a little TOO giving to British films sometimes- but hey if its a good movie to them thats all that matters i guess....
After inception & Another movie Tom Hardy got my attention and I watched him in BRONSON and THAT was a Tour De Force piece of acting and I knew he'd be a MAJOR actor and lead in the future.
***** Tom's got a really diverse output and eclectic tastes, same with George Miller. It's great to see that he loves collaborating, representing the crew and stunt team in particular like that. A mate who went to the Sydney opening (with the vehicles from the film) said I have to go see this movie. At this rate there'll be a big movie almost every month of 2015 that I'd consider checking out in the cinema.
adambman2 You have GOT to see Mad Max asap, it blew my mind. It is incredible how he was really able to portray a very complex and interesting character even though he had few speaking lines, his actions and facial expressions spoke volumes. It was a great performance. Charlize Theron killed it too . I actually think I am going to see it again in theaters, it is the best movie of the summer so far
Guuh, it's always a great surprise to chat with you! haha, I get what you mean about that performance style, and you can trace it back to the 'dollars'/'man with no name' trilogy of westerns by Sergio Leone, which made Clint Eastwood famous. Have you heard of them? They're worth a look if you're into older movies, having influenced Star Wars as well as George Miller
***** Tom Hardy was awesome in this. I like how Max goes from using grunts and expressions only to learning how to speak again. He really sounds like someone re-adapting to human communication.
He is one brilliant actor and so humble with it. Could not help but notice the T shirt with Pineapple Dance Studios. Could this have anything to do with and all singing and dancing movie eg Rocketman?
A wonderful actor but at the same time decent and modest. Some of his performances are simply brilliant. In warrior,he was amazing. He changed his appearance in batman as well as his voice, showing off his remarkable talent. He is a chameleon.
I love you Tom Hardy. You are very important and you are worth a lot for God and for me.I am from Puerto Rico.My name is Arelys Reyes Serrano.I am puertorrican.Puertorricans are the best womens of the world and valuable womens.Arelys Reyes Serrano.
This man is a fucking badass.
A gentle dude.
But a badass regardless.
Master of his craft.
tom hardy is a beast. one of the best actors today
m0ments-have-you He will honor the role of Mad Max.Brilliant casting :)
can't think of a better actor to do this role.
me neither man.He s gonna kick ass
m0ments-have-you Ever since Bane i've been wondering why is isn't cast in every movie ever. He's perfect for everything

Definitely one of the best. Pure and honest. So stoked for Mad Max!
Love the shout out to the stunt guys. What a pro

+johnulcer Right, I'm sure that's why his upcoming filmography is so empty..........
Kudos to Josh for being a good interviewer and letting Tom talk!
He is so humble
TOM EPIC HARDY .
His real life voice sounds so different from his movie characters.
ferlarios Exactly my first thought :) So soft if you ask me :)
I agree also
I thought that too. I thought the way he sounded in Inception was his real voice. but this sounds way different.
It’s called acting
He is British..he has a vocal coach. He is primarily in American accent roles
he looks so fucking kick ass men always look badass when they have their head shaved and beard
Adblock Popup No doubt.
Adblock Popup u still a man regardless with different taste lol
Swol BrohamLincoln have you seen him in Bronson? proper nut job in handlebar mustache and shaved head, butt naked and covered head to toe in blood and boot polish. many more disturbing scenes besides
Swol BrohamLincoln He also looks jewish lol Tom Hardy is the man though

Playing Elton John would ruin his career as a bad ass. He's actually going to be playing Al Capone in a series called cirero
Tom Hardy is just a great actor-one of the best of this generation.
great interview! Tom hardy is easily one of the greatest actors of today.
After inception & Another movie Tom Hardy got my attention and I watched him in BRONSON and THAT was a Tour De Force piece of acting and I knew he'd be a MAJOR actor and lead in the future.
excelente actor, para mi "el mejor". Te amamos Hardy.-

Tom is pretty cool. He is a treasure. ❤❤❤
Great great great interviewer and Tom Hardy like always is great. I think stunt choreography should have its on oscar too.

Josh was so nervous it's cute 😭
Saw it a couple of days ago. Amazing movie!
Nice to hear some appreciation for the stunt folks.
good to see some positive comments
MORE MAD MAXES IN THE FUTURE YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Hope the movie is awesome!
looking boss, solid beard.
He is one brilliant actor and so humble with it. Could not help but notice the T shirt with Pineapple Dance Studios. Could this have anything to do with and all singing and dancing movie eg Rocketman?
Haha he thought the Bane impression was shit....
good interview

I just want him to marry me already...
He sure is
Tom Hardy's stunt double Jacob Tomuri looks just like Tom's brother.
У Тома есть брат???? Он один ребенок в семье.
i love how intensely he looks at the interviewer when asking speaking. a lot of actors don't have eye contact
Somebody is looking like Ragnar lothbrok...
Danny Hammond This guy, he can do everything haha, he needs a movie where he looks like this.
wow Tom's speaking voice is a lot toned down than his deeper "movie" voice.
I don''t know about the others but Tom's still sporting a beard because he has not finished The Revenant. He's going back to Calgary in June ...
wow)) awesome beard!
he's always wearing that paracord bracelet
why does his voice sound loads higher in this interview?
That's a cool beard
Anyone else just think of Alfie Solomons when looking at Tom?
Sorry maybe I'm just thinking too much about Peaky Blinders....
MrUndeadJesus Not that strange, as he just has been shooting some scenes for Peaky Blinders 3...
Bronson!
That Bane....huh
he looks like bronson!
Deuce He played Bronson in the movie of the same name
Haha he thought the Bane impression was shit....even he couldn't 'act' like he liked it convincingly

It was going so well until the impression. Good interview either way.
Is this Ragnar Lothbrok's son?
Last comment is the best 1
He Looks like WWE reslter
He looks like an ex-con here
Virgin Incel Jew vs Alpha Chad Anglo
That was a shity Bane impression.
HAHAHAH I KNOW and tom was so polite he didn't even call him out. I would have been like wow maybe you should stick to your day job dude lol
