This interviewer always asks the best questions. They're never dumb, never shallow, they haven't been asked a thousand times before... He truly is passionate about movies and movie making in general, and it's delightful to see. I personally love movies as well, not only watching them but learning what's behind it all as well, the process, the thoughts that were put into it, and so on. So what I really like about these interviews is that not only do you learn about the movies in general, but also about the more technical and subtle aspects of them. It's so refreshing and interesting to watch. I would even go as far as to say that I would rather watch that kind of program on television rather than a show hosted by some guy that clearly does not give a damn about the movies the guests are there to promote, and can't say much other than "it's great it's great", when really they haven't even seen it and probably won't. Some interviewers should take notes as well. Great job, Kevin McCarthy !
QuixoticMcGee I agree. These kind of interviews usually end up like "well I love all those other geniuses in the film" even if its a shitty film, because the interviewer asks shitty questions. This interview had questions that I myself would ask, so it became much more interesting.
I have never posted on videos before but I have to say this interviewer is phenomenal. What a refreshing change to hear a genuine discussion of some key questions around the film and its characters, from lots of angles, and with real enthusiasm and interest. The actors all responded amazingly and gave much more interesting answers as a result of his style and approach of questioning. This guy is brilliant, thank you Kevin McCarthy for doing these interviews so brilliantly because I now know more, and appreciate more, about the film as a result.
Barry Villacarillo Well,Peter Jackson used to direct crappy movies before Lord of the Rings,so...Plus,Goerge has an oscar..and the second mad max movie is now a cult classic..
This interviewer was fantastic. Usually these press-junket interviews are a painfully bland experience for all involved, but I could feel the genuine enthusiasm of this guy: his love of this film was palpable and he was a perfect stand in for the audience members who would love to ask these artists about the film they enjoyed. It also inspired some real, genuine responses from the interviewees too. Keep this guy!
Sonny Williamson I gotta agree as well. This was one of the more interesting interviews I've seen. The questions were different (in a good way) and the answers were great.
christianaayodele omg... don´t you think you are exagerating a bit? I wouldn´t say that he is between one of the best yet. Let´s give some more time to the man.
MetallicA7X92 I want to see it again too!!! And i want it so badly that i can't sleep... This movie has a lot of MADNESS and i need it. I need it like air, like water!!!
***** She certainly is stunning even in short hair and in all that dirty makeup. She's one of my favourite down to earth actresses. There's no pretentiousness in her manner. Sean Penn is a lucky man.
It's fascinating to hear the actors talk so capably about the processes of special effects and shooting, stuntwork, logistics, editing and all the nuts and bolts that make up the film. These are people who are fully committed to the whole film, not just their bit of it. Passion makes true art!
Charlie is not just one of Hollywood's most talented and gorgeous actors, but also one of its most genuinely down to earth ppl. Love Tom Hardy and George.!
Oh man, do i ever want to see the backstories of these characters This world is so freaking immersive I cant wait till it comes out on dvd, its one of those films i just need to watch over and over
You're an excellent interviewer, Kevin! Insightful, interesting questions, and your enthusiasm and appreciation for the film and all those involved is wonderful to see!
The casts & crews in this films deserved a standing ovation! I also appreciate the interviewer who really know what he's talking about and truly respect the people behind the film, sadly that is hard to find these days.
I've watched many interviews on Mad Max, but this was the best. Enthusiastic and to the point. He asked many questions that I had but no one had asked, like asking George about what he would have liked to do different on Road Warrior if he could, and Nicholas Hoult about the moment when he says THE line of the movie, etc.
I never wanted these interviews to end! Kevin, you are fabulous. Your nerdy enthusiasm (in the most endearing of terms) made me even more excited to hear their answers and the ensuing conversation...you are a wonderful interviewer!!!!! You'll go incredibly far in your life and career :) Also you got to touch Tom Hardy, George Miller, and Nicholas Hoult. I want to hate you...but I just can't.
George Miller seems like a very cool guy, you can see his kndness and passion in his eyes when he's smiled at the end of the interview. On the other hand, I wish I could forget all the mad max movies and rewatch them again for the first time.
Kevin's interviews are great! Not the same old canned questions. He engages very well and his passion for movie making always shows and IMO helps the interviewees engage more. I love this movie! My two cents from the people interviewed: Tom is very cool. Even though his stunt double, Jacob, joked that he was expendable, Tom was very quick and decisive to ensure him that he was not. It was very cool that they had a stuntman in on this junket. A very rare show of respect for an often overlooked talent and risky profession/art by the studio. Charlize is an awesome actress and so down to earth and engaging. She is not afraid to be open and pull back the curtain into her own method and is never pretentious. George, not a very prolific director but a very good one. He did amazing work on the first two movies of the series with super low budgets. Ya gotta give him credit. This one had a bit of a budget and he used it very well. He must have been like a kid in a candy store. It shows. It looked like he really enjoyed talking shop with Kevin. Nicholas Hoult. Wow, I had no idea that he was Nux! Shiny and chrome! Very cool character arc and great performance. Again, another that seemed to be happy to engage in the interview. Charming fella. Press junkets: Most interviewees loath them and I don't blame them. Sitting in a room for MANY hours being asked the same canned questions over and over again. This is how interviews should be done. Well done!
Great interviewer, you can see this guy is really passionate about movies ;) Great questions also KUDOZ to everyone involved in making this movie, it's an action movie masterpiece!
George is a master --every detail counts and all the actors had so much backstory to learn about their characters. All this extra work shows up in the movie.
"It also had to be a weapon, everything's multipurpose... you have a guitar but it's also gotta be a flame thrower." OMG dat guitarist haha I loved that guy
Kevin McCarthy is an amazing interviewer. He was phenomenal and really engaged the people he interviewed by asking brilliant questions that took the listener on to the set of filiming. Well done, really enjoyed listening. Will watch the film now. Thanks a lot.
Charlize Theron I’m my opinion is the best female actor alive , her roles going back to devils advocate are breath taking …. When i first watched devils advocate when she acts a lady falling into madness I was literally disturbed by how realistic she acted .. she’s excellent
Just listened to Jacob Tomuri being interviewed on the local radio station More Fm here in Christchurch New Zealand.. His Uncle Gary McCormack is an announcer there. Another Kiwi doing well.
Thank you for not mixing in parts of the trailer after each interview, that's a trend I've always been against. It completely takes the viewer out of the moment and usually requires you to turn the volume back and forth. Let trailers be trailers and interviews be interviews.
the best actor of his generation (tom hardy) with the smartest and hottest woman in the World (charlize theron) directed by the coolest filmaker around (george miller) in the most tough masculine realistic action movie ever
Great that the stunt double also gets interviewed. It is a profession which deserves more recognition.
This interviewer always asks the best questions. They're never dumb, never shallow, they haven't been asked a thousand times before... So true.
Wow, the interviewer here is fantastic. Great enthusiasm and questions.

Ellie Mackay Thanks so much Ellie! You are awesome! -Kevin
FOX 5 DC I agree with Ellie , amazing interview Kevin.
Ellie Mackay Agreed!
FOX 5 DC You remind me of Jake Hamilton.
the interviewer was enthusiastic it was refreshing then the usual awkward once
What an insanely talented person George Miller is. Started off as a practicing doctor then a movie director.
jdlaw001 And he is 70 years old!
jdlaw001 Extremely underrated too..I hope now,he enjoys fincanial success and great recognition.Better late than ever,i suppose..
jdlaw001 And the last two movies he directed were Happy Feet.
Yup.
jdlaw001 From the mastermind who brought you "Babe" and "Happy Feet".
Barry Villacarillo Well,Peter Jackson used to direct crappy movies before Lord of the Rings,so...Plus,Goerge has an oscar..and the second mad max movie is now a cult classic..
This guy's a really good interviewer, you can tell he's a fan of the movies.
No way... "I had nerd-tears running down my face." Such a cheesy remark, actually embarassing, but yes, OBVIOUSLY he's a fan, so what...
@@bfkc111 The point is, that many interviewers have no interest in the movie, or actor even.
Sonny Williamson Well said. Totally agree.
Sonny Williamson I gotta agree as well. This was one of the more interesting interviews I've seen. The questions were different (in a good way) and the answers were great.
Hey I love Tom Hardy. One of the best actors of this generation
I would have to agree with you sir
Sim ZimUK yay I'm a girl tho
oh! lol...yeah ... er .... I knew that!
my bad.
christianaayodele omg... don´t you think you are exagerating a bit? I wouldn´t say that he is between one of the best yet. Let´s give some more time to the man.
Nathan Maia imo he is one of the best
This movie was absolutely amazing! By far the best movie I've seen in 2015, I want to see it again!!
SAME!
MetallicA7X92 I want to see it again too!!! And i want it so badly that i can't sleep... This movie has a lot of MADNESS and i need it. I need it like air, like water!!!
maximelka100 SAME TOO!
maximelka100 wow wow buddy. Calm down. LoL. The movie is great, but let´s not exagerate.
I would pay again to watch the movie on the big IMAX screen.
Same here!
Loved this interview! The interviewer was fantastic! Asked so many questions that I've been wondering about that no one else has been asking.
interviewer was awesome!
the darkness I think so too. His questions are great, but he's fanboying a little too much for a professional interviewer.
T0MBRA1D3RR na i dont think so.. it kept interview alive id say..
Perhaps, but it makes it a little unprofessional.
T0MBRA1D3RR Professional is overrated.
T0MBRA1D3RR Who the hell cares, I was happy for him .
Damn, hell of an interviewer, really great job.
George Miller seems like a delightful dude.
I hope the interviewer never looses his job
A Major Production he won’t
is it me, or is Charlize getting more stunning?
It's her lol. She is aging very well indeed. I would take her over any of these 20 somethings in Hollywood without a doubt
***** She's almost too pretty for Mad Max.
***** The makeup artist for the movie Monster did a tremendous job making her ugly lol. No offense to the serial killer she was portraying but damn.
***** She certainly is stunning even in short hair and in all that dirty makeup. She's one of my favourite down to earth actresses. There's no pretentiousness in her manner. Sean Penn is a lucky man.
After seeing this film I think that she's my favorite actress :)
I seen this interviewer before. I think he interviewed a drunk Michael Fassbender for Promethesus. I have to say he has the best questions hands down.
Seriously one of the best movie i've ever watched.
It's fascinating to hear the actors talk so capably about the processes of special effects and shooting, stuntwork, logistics, editing and all the nuts and bolts that make up the film. These are people who are fully committed to the whole film, not just their bit of it. Passion makes true art!
LOL At :52 seconds!! They both reach up and touch their face at the same time! Jacob is Tom's stunt double so he had to do exactly what Tom did!
Finally a good interviewer! Also, George Miller seems like such a nice guy!
Can Johnny Depp please listen to what Charlize has to say about transformations. Less is sometimes more
But its Johnny Depp style and he actully did a lot of good works on his weird transformation.✌💖
tommy is such a sweet heart ! When the stunt guy said that he was expendable hardy butted in and said no you're not lol
Great interviews, it's nice to hear someone ask interesting questions for once.
Charlie is not just one of Hollywood's most talented and gorgeous actors, but also one of its most genuinely down to earth ppl. Love Tom Hardy and George.!
Nicholas Hoult convinced me with this movie. He did a great job and was cool in the interview. Curious to see what will be his next movie.
after seeing it twice, george miller has risen to god status in my eyes.. this is my favorite movie of all time!! i fuckin love george miller!!
Id just like to say this interviewer is fantastic, actualy asking interesting questions about the film making process.
I watched the movie just for Tom and now it’s one my favorites.
Those were a great set of questions. This interview was so enjoyable to watch.
What a good interviewer, I've never honestly said that in my life. But really good job.
Oh man, do i ever want to see the backstories of these characters
This world is so freaking immersive
I cant wait till it comes out on dvd, its one of those films i just need to watch over and over
You're an excellent interviewer, Kevin! Insightful, interesting questions, and your enthusiasm and appreciation for the film and all those involved is wonderful to see!
These interviews are great. The interviewer is wonderful and asks very meaningful questions.
Great to see such an enthusiastic interviewer! If only every interviewer was as big a fan as this guy is!
The casts & crews in this films deserved a standing ovation! I also appreciate the interviewer who really know what he's talking about and truly respect the people behind the film, sadly that is hard to find these days.
That was a really great interview!
very good interviewer great questions
I get the suspicion that Charlize is gonna live to at least a thousand.
+Chris Wright Then she will ascend back from whence she was sent.
The film's phenomenal. So beautifully shot and the stuntwork is out of this world. Yay for practical effects!!!
I never wanted these interviews to end! Kevin, you are fabulous. Your nerdy enthusiasm (in the most endearing of terms) made me even more excited to hear their answers and the ensuing conversation...you are a wonderful interviewer!!!!! You'll go incredibly far in your life and career :)

Interviews rarely impress me enough to comment but there is an awesome vibe to these and great questions. Really a great job here!
I love this. Miller went from gritty, violent post-apocalypse movies to making cutesy animal movies, and now came back to the apocalypse.
Good questions from a good reporter...comes across as being genuinely interested in the answers....well done!!
Kevin's interviews are great! Not the same old canned questions. He engages very well and his passion for movie making always shows and IMO helps the interviewees engage more. I love this movie! My two cents from the people interviewed:

is 'nerd tears streaming down my face' his go to line in his interviews?
Funny how Tom Hardy's stunt double is using the same bracelet he uses. ^-^
Great interview! Full of enthusiasm and some refreshing questions.
Great interviewer, you can see this guy is really passionate about movies ;) Great questions also
KUDOZ to everyone involved in making this movie, it's an action movie masterpiece!
this interviewer is fucking fantastic, great questions. Give this man a raise
Great interview. Great questions.
George is a master --every detail counts and all the actors had so much backstory to learn about their characters. All this extra work shows up in the movie.
Gotta love Kevin's enthusiasm, really made for a great set of interviews. And holy shit did movie really delivers!
Real interviewer right there! a movie fanatic who respects the art form and ask key questions not the actors sex life etc
Great questions, excellent interviewer. Thank a lot.
Superb interviewer; his questions are interesting and considered, they really engage the guests and get great insight on the film.
Thank you to everyone who made this movie into what it is...a brilliant masterpiece.
this interviewer is great!!! really enthusiastic and didn't ask stupid questions!! :D
Amazing movie and Kevin is making the right questions with great enthusiasm and genuine excitement , kudos Mr.McCarthy spot on
"It also had to be a weapon, everything's multipurpose... you have a guitar but it's also gotta be a flame thrower." OMG dat guitarist haha I loved that guy
It seems Hardys accent changes everytime he gives an interview.
i really would love to see all that video of Nux's backstory that Hoult talks about.
Hannah Musselwhite I believe there are comic books coming out that explain each of the characters backstory's as well as the worlds backstory.
Asking the right questions every time. Great interview.
great interviewer
George Miller is so calming to watch
zomg charlize is such a natural beauty :O
Kevin McCarthy is an amazing interviewer. He was phenomenal and really engaged the people he interviewed by asking brilliant questions that took the listener on to the set of filiming. Well done, really enjoyed listening. Will watch the film now. Thanks a lot.
Great interviewer! I really liked this guy, really great! I liked the interview too
This whole movie series is such a classic. Good job George Miller. :-)
The interviewer actually asked good and interesting questions. I was pleasantly surprised.
This movie is amazing, i've been to see it twice in theaters already. And i'm going for a third time this weekend
When both tom hardy and his stunt double touch their chins XD
great interview. thanx for that.

I truly enjoyed and loved this movie. It's going straight to my all time favourites.
Charlize Theron I’m my opinion is the best female actor alive , her roles going back to devils advocate are breath taking …. When i first watched devils advocate when she acts a lady falling into madness I was literally disturbed by how realistic she acted .. she’s excellent
Great video.

Great interview. Subscribed.
the interviewer seems like a movie geek ,i like him :D
First major lol at 0:52 and then again at 15:10
Man what an interview
Must be the best job ever! He gets to meet so many famous people!
I feel like this interviewer perfectly emulated my level of freak out about MM:FR
I swear Tom's voice changes all the time
christianaayodele He's the definition of a chameleon... that's Tom f#cking Hardy sir!
What fantastic interview
the best actor of his generation (tom hardy) with the smartest and hottest woman in the World (charlize theron) directed by the coolest filmaker around (george miller) in the most tough masculine realistic action movie ever
Who left after only watching tom's interview ?lol
🙌
great interview :)
I really enjoyed this. Great questions Kevin. Having just seen the film, I had very similar ones.
Aaah.. still happy to see Hoult in a role like that. He's moved up a lot since Skins!
I love this interviewer!
I've got to say, these are great questions :D
