In this video, we take another look at a hunter gold farm! Today's gold farm is Dire Maul North Tribute Farming! We show a safe and easy strategy for a hunter to complete each run in about 15 minutes. This farm can yield 100+ gold her hour from both selling the Dire Maul North buffs as well as just selling/disenchanting the gear. We talk about the strategy, how to make it a safe dire maul run for anyone seeking buffs, how to make the most gold, gear and talents!

The 1 pet death can be avoided, run with ur pet to the boss after u run past the boss then send ur pet back to the other pack and he will despawn

@@pinskeel You can also just run around the corner with monkey on, he hits you 2-3 times, safer with deterence if you have it. Edit: This means you don't need the pet out at all.
Thanks for posting this. I dinged 60 yesterday and today did my first tribute in greens and blues. That being said, there are an awful lot of little nuances that can be very frustrating and I have to say I'm a little disappointed in how many tries it took me to succeed, but it was very rewarding to complete it. First kill had the barbarous blade. No rings yet. Lots of fun though and your guide helped a lot.
When there's two casters in the pack at 02:36 you can just scatter shot the melee instead of using an iron grenade to save some money :) The frostbolts won't hit you until you have gotten around the corner anyway.

Thanks you for the upload. I’m in T2 and it took me 30ish gold in repair bills, and 30ish gold on consumes to get it down the first time.
Nice to see a guide that covers everything, killing reavers and trapping slipkik weren't always a thing for hunter runs. I've done a fair few tribs but still learned something.

Completed my first DMT run the other day. died once on my way to the boss but recovered quickly. Your video was one of the ones I watched to help learn the farm. Great info as always my dude.

Right before the bomb door, when you puts frost on the ramp, when I send my pet in, he will not run to the left like yours. He enters the room in the middle, pulls everything, and dies on his way back then I die or feign and try again with the same result.
Just figured out my problem. I was jumping on the ledge before sending the pet in and for some reason that changes the path the pet wants to take.
Some tips:
Use dense dynamite against the spiders. That and the explosive trap will kill them all. If you FD and drop a 2nd Explosive trap, there's a very high chance your FD is resisted. Just leave the pet in the walkway between the rooms that you killed the spiders at. No point in going to that corner.
Instead of doing Scatter + Concussion which can get FD resisted, I started doing Aspect of the monkey + Freezing Trap + Aggro by peeking around corner + Target the mob furthest away on the right. After the 1st mob is frozen, then scatter the 2nd, and turn on cheetah. Run to the FD spot beside the ramp. I have never seen this fail, and takes about the same amount of time to do.
If you do both of these things, you will be the eye down the ramp. Then you can deal with him after the other mobs have reset. Just back up a bit, and shoot him when he goes around that corner.
You are summoning your pet too far back on the ramp. Summon him about at the start of the incline. Lay the frost trap near the top. Send the pet to atk, then set him to passive. Manually use furious howl when the pet is retreating and at roughly the top of the ramp. This will ensure that if he aggros the group to the right, that it will go on him, and not you.
Advanced strat. After you blow the door, run in, your pet despawns. Now summon him back quickly, tell him to stay, and then send him to the next group. The first group is still stuck on the ramp due to the trap. Heal your pet up before he engages the new group, but don't do it after he aggros. Just heal a little. This will get the 1st pack on you, and you have to heal your pet anyways. Now run to the next safe spot and FD.
Forget that Mulstishot the pack nonsense, just send him to the pack behind the boss. Just dont get too close to the corner, or you will aggro the boss.
Advanced Target dummies can save you on the king if you get a resist. They're also usually profitable to make.
Hey great video, just two small things you didn't mention
The eyes can be instantly killed by using scatter shot on them, regardless of how much damage is done.
The 5 set bonus from T1 and T2 counts as a buff on your pet and generates a small amount of threat, this can result in the boss sometimes aggroing back to you at random intervals before feign death is off CD
you can avoid the random agro by making sure the king and cho agro at the same time, body pull them

If you want to sell, pull the reavers with your pet BEFORE getting king buff. So you dont have to walk back to the entrence

Why does Cho'Rush SOMETIMES tether the boss, and othertimes not. It's fucking annoying to deal with when he's about to fuck up your pet but you hit him and all of a sudden King Gordok changes direction back onto you, while other times the king is totally fine with you attacking Cho'Rush without consequence
When I pull the boss with my pet, he despawns I call my pet and get him to stay and heal, run out and feign on the edge just like you do on your vid. The bosses tho reset and do not come after my pet, tried many times. What am I doing wrong?

A Suggestion from germany here,
For the last pull with the pet. Just send it on the Boss and as Soon as it has the aggro send it to the Pack at the left, aggro them aswell und put than your pet back to the passive stand Spot
If the boss is reseting when you Feign Death use Furious Howl after the pet healing and wait until he is closer, don't Feign Death too early.
Gonna do buff sales the day before TBC launches to pay for epic flying, since I'm able to charge 20g for buffs, maybe more since it's the last time anyone's getting to use world buffs because they don't work past level 63. Vid helped a ton, so thank you!

I concur - this is a very fun solo sport!
I don't need Iron grenade on the first aggro pack.
I actually have my pet stand on Stay as i step down from the ledge - send pet attack so that they aggro the pack of 3 and click return/attack others way away.
Sometimes I get fireblasted for no particular reason but generally pretty safe.
I FD just where I am about to loot that first little chest/key.
Also I do it naked in case I screw up to minimize the cost.

Mate nice guide...but legit...a little list of the needed items at the start would have been nice...many (including me) would have followed this guide while learning, and i m definitely not the only one (based on comments) who got screwed by the invisibility potion being mentioned in 2 seconds, which i easily missed the first time : |

Another way to do the pack that you nade in the beginning, is to scatter shot the melee mob and los before any frostbolts go off. Sometimes RNG will make it so there is 2 melee mobs but you can easily scatter one and concussive shot the other. Works everytime for me. If the melee are positioned in a way where they will hit you, you can just turn off cheetah before the swing and still be in the clear. Love your videos

Great video! Will definitely try this when I have lvled up my hunter! Would be awesome to see a hunter´s keybinds and macros guide, like the one you did with the mage!
On the pack you use a nade on, i normally use Eye of the Beast and then pull that pack and the one with the dogs next to the wooden ruins and jump down and stay. then i run up and loot the chest and run past and up to the ledge on the left of the slope down, then FD and run to open the door. This lines up the eye perfectly as you come in the door.
For the spiders i always kill them on the way out, this is much safer since i cant aggro anything else. this way i dont have to use nades or anything else
For the guard you can jump up on the bones and then onto the ledge, this is a bit safer as there is a stupid little stone right on the corner below, which can push you into the spiders.
Once on the ledge you can run past the two ogres by Scattering the first (Right as you get LoS), then run towards the slope up and slow the second Ogre as soon as you hit the ground (otherwise he evades).
When you do the pull at the top of the ledge, put down a freezing trap to give you extra time to blow the door.,
After you blast the door upstairs, kill the critter inside, sometimes it bugs out the FD, and do the FD around the corner to LoS the mobs, its also a good idea to wait 5-10 seconds to make sure they dont re-aggro (can be related to freezing traps)
Before Kromcush use the right side instead, then put pet to stay in the corner. Then target the pack behind the boss (on the left side), The moment the boss reacts to the boss use Dash on the pet and start running, as soon as the pack behind reacts pull the pet back to the spot (passive), and keep running hugging the left wall next to the dogs and use FD once you are around the corner. If the pet dies or get dazed, you can run into the corner on the left side and FD, then ress the pet up and continue.
If you do this strategy the last dog pack will always just enter the platform, so when your pet is up in the spot and you send it on the boss, they will be on their way down and you have the full 10 minutes.
Once you send the pet in to the boss do not let it hit either of them, if it gets a hit in it might give some weird aggro. one of the things is that it can chain the two, so if you hit the king both run back, another is that you might need more than 1 shot to pull aggro.
If you need to bandage, always do it when you have aggro.
If you need to eat (you shouldnt), you can drop down close to the pet and then FD, that will LoS you from the ones upstairs and wont put you into combat again.
I havent tried the pet despawn tactic, i just run the pet up with Eye of the Beast, then start viper as soon as it has aggro, as viper sting doesnt give aggro.
And finally, if people are new, it might be a good idea to move back one pillar doing the boss kill, if he resist you can jump down and he has a longer way to walk, so you can run the opposite way with cheetah and just kite him with the pathing until FD is back up.
Edit- There is sometimes a chest either near the spot where you trap the first boss, or before using the key (on the left). there can also be a book at the bush to the left of the door you use the key on.

This is an amazing video! That being said Will you pretty please give some sort of disclaimer for newbs like myself that specifies you have to have engineering (min 200) in order to work this strategy? That way no one else practices this only to get to the door and realize you can't blow it up XD
Hey Bud, been keeping up with your vids for a while and I think you tend to react positively to great info. There is a belt in the chest that has a chance to roll Nature resist. That belt can easily sell for 500-1000 gold atm easy as it is BiS plate belt for AQ for fights like Princess. Keep up the good work!

You can go for both packs after the first door, no need to stay in the middle like that. Just use an iron nade on the second pack. And you should be following to king with the pet so you can move further and o more dmg to him for faster kills on king.

Be careful you don't 2 shot the Eye's with Arcane shot + Auto Shot if you are not have Raid gear. Alteast I don't 2 shot them I have 50+ Blues and Blackcrow.
100g per hour only if you can manage to sell any of the tribute items, but its really 60g hour max if you just vendor/disenchant.
People do 5 runs/hr so it's a guaranteed 5 large brilliant shards per run which would be at their current price roughly 125g from them alone. You also typically get major mana pots which I have found consistently so at an average of 10 per hour thats another 50g at the moment so 175g. In addition you're also getting other greens and items from the chest, and then you also have other random chests that can spawn throughout the dungeon and red books as well for foror's.
@@arlaeus9491 Large brill shards on my server 3g a pop. Major Mana Pot 14g a stack, too many bots.
fairly good tutorial but I think you shouldve emphasized the feign death mechanics. feign death cannot be resisted if you are further than 35 yards from the mobs. line of sight has no effect on feign death resist chance. your run was not safe and there were multiple points where you would die to feign death resists. you can make the run perfectly safe by abusing the 35 yard feign death resist mechanic.
That’s fair I should have mentioned that! I can think of the first reavers but that’s it for the potential resist spots. Where else would they have been?
@@arlaeus9491 the first grenade spot, the reavers at slip, and the pack before king, aswell as a few times on king fight(recoverable with kiting). I've done a ridiculous amount of DMT :P so my runs look very different to yours but they started out similar. Keep up the great content!
In classic, you can’t trap while in combat .. how are you double trapping?
Hey Arleous i appreciate your guides and was wondering if you could come up with more Uncontested goldfarms out in the world? Cause now with the change it's very easy to hit the 30 instance cap and then you're forced to wait 18 hours b4 you're able to farm DMT again.
I really liked the one in northern barrens you did about the harpies, with herb/mining it's a real good gold mine.

Now at the boss and all aggro stays on me no matter what. Whenever I feign death, the fight stops. After cancelling eyes of the beast the pet drops all aggro. Been at this crap for hours now and I’m finally done. Fuck a hunter.

Damn, making more buff competition for me. Something that works well with the buff selling is make friends with the people on your server who run pugs and get them to give you a shout out on the pug discord on raid day.
I guess I'm a little confused about how you sell items that are dropped? You clear the raid and then start inviting people before you loot the chest? Are they there the whole time? Do you invite them after seeing the items drop?
should look up zeroji's DMT runs. He's got a sub 6 minute run... consistently sub 7-8min
Yes it’s very impressive!! I watched it before. I wanted to make a safe guide for beginners and I’m definitely no where near his skill with DMT
nor am I ^^ its all just his timing. He never stops moving, placing pet on stay, recalling it at exact times etc, all whilst continually moving.

The chest does not work like boss loot, it basically just works as a chest. Free for all to loot

No, he means Furious Howl. If your pet buffs you, he will generate a small amount of agro on all mobs you're in combat with. It is using this technique to pull them off you.

Don't need Iron Grenade for the 1st set of Ogres really. I have over 300 dm:t runs on my hunter, and never used it. The 5s you wait, doesn't do a difference. You choose the path, depending on the composition of the pack to the right (as you threw nade on) or the left.
Edit: the amount of consumes you use, may not make it more efficient or safe. invis pot + seaforium is enough:)
Tribute runs are fun. Did this 500+ times. I’d do that without gold even.
That said. Tribute runs has been disruptive to wow economy. With most other farming methods, you at least ave to make some of your profit by auctioning, which is fine as it only the circulation of existing gold. Doing tribute runs without enchanting is just like printing money. By vendoring, a semi proficient runner that capped the hourly limit could produce a steady 60 gold/hr new gold into economy.
Pls run as enchanter. Earns more, and slow down the inflation.
for me, cho and the king are always linked so whevener i start damaging one of them the other one automaticly starts running back towards me

Try to avoid the 5 Piece Setbonus from T1 or T2
Better. dont attack boss or cho from pet, just body pull
Pull with pet but don’t let pet damage them. Also, if one agros much earlier than the other, reset - they are going to be linked.

This method no longer seems to work, I think they must have patched king Gordok to instantly lose aggro on pet when you feign death after you call pet.

To use the seaforium charge and grenades, I am guessing you need to level engineering on your hunter? Perhaps I missed that information in the video.
you need engineering or blacksmithing to get past the door upstairs
You only need 200 engineering for the seaforium and 175 for the iron grenades. On my server getting to 200 cost me like 30-40g. Seaforium is learned from a schematic, iron grenades taught by trainers. ezpz
you can also just level to 200 and buy the seaforium charges if you're lazy like me

Run speed on boots does not stack with Aspect of the cheetah, so its pretty useless.

Break your tier 1 or tier 2 5 piece bonus and they won't have linked aggro

On this run you will only need: minir speed, thorium widget, frost oil and iron grenade

You don't "need" any of that. There are only two items that every hunter will use for a DMT run and that is 1 x Large seaforium charge and 1 x lesser invisibility potion. anything else is either extra and not needed or used for selling buffs which at the end of the day isnt needed either.
