    The most & only irritating thing about 7 Pro is the battery performance with minimal usage it barely lasts a day and with no usage after full charge it consumes anywhere between 15 to 20 % of battery overnight.

      So I've had my Pixel 7 Pro for almost a month and I have had no such issue with the battery. I can take it off the charger at 1am, leave it sit, and the battery doesn't go under 100% until I start using it in the morning when I wake up. I played music on it in the car using Bluetooth on 5G for about 180 miles yesterday and only lost 30% battery. Can I ask what you do to your phone to drain the battery so quick?

    I get shocking battery life from my Pixel 7 Pro. It's been even worse since the start of May. I'm getting rid of mine soon. I can't wait to go back to Samsung. There are so many compromises with the Pixel. The stuttering screen when scrolling, the absolutely stupid fact that the whole top row of the home screen is taken up by the date, the poor cell coverage compared to Samsung, the poor zoom lenses, the poor speakers. Need I go on. I just don't really get the love.

    I’ve struggled not to buy the 7 pro. I used iPhone for years and only upgraded every 2yrs. I switched to the 6 pro…… and for all its flaws I still love it. But lessons learned from iPhone, I will be upgrading to the 8 pro. But i do wish I had changed to android last year and not the year before as everyone has said the 7 pro is just much more polished then the 6 pro.

    i got to say, the 7 Pro has been fantastic... i have ONE wish for the 8 series and that's to bring back dual front facing speakers. i miss them so freakin' much that i often contemplate going back to my older Pixel phones. Nothing beats stock android though and i don't care how good Samsung's flagship phones are because i hate the way they try to force you into the samsung apps over the stock apps. bixby blows & the bloatware is unacceptable on a flagship phone

    Have been using the 7 Pro for the past 9 or so months. Have had absolutely no issues.
    Google needs to fix only 2 things -
    1. That fucking Tensor
    2. Fingerprint Scanner
    3. Give at least 4, if not 5 Major OS Updates.
    I have mine in Black. Has to be the most beautiful phone in a long, long time. The last time I was this enchanted by a phone's look was years ago, when I would fawn over the Jet-Black iPhone 7 Plus and S7 Edge [Black and Coral Blue]. Still have those beauties, and they run flawlessly btw.
    In addition to that, the Software experience is something that I've never experienced before. I'm an Apple Fanboy, and have owned the S22 Ultra [Burgundy] for almost the same time, but I'll say hands down, Google smashes everybody without breaking a sweat. Tho I feel like OneUI is more productive and feature rich [DeX, Link to Windows, Quick Share, Link Share, Secure Folder, Samsung Pay, GoodLock], I'd still chose a Pixel over a Samsung any given day.

    I think the overall greatest flaw of this phone is just heat management, getting warm when charging, gets hot it loses brightness on a mid summer day, occasionally shuts down due to heat in rare cases. aside that it's the best phone you can get in this range and could easily still sit at 200 bucks above it's current price. but value is what makes it worth it

    Well rounded and straightforward review. I've used my P7P for content usage only for the most part so far. I do like the simplicity of how it operates on Android 13, although I do use Nova Launcher, to provide more customization. While the P7P is not the S23 Ultra nor the 14 Pro series, its not supposed to be, amd that is why it still stands out. Funny thing is, I have only seen one person over the last year with the P7P...

    As much as I love the pixel 7 pro my pixel 6 pro is a nightmare I won't be swapping back to a pixel unless Google fixes the tensor chip and makes an actual real good chip. The chip overheats has awful battery life or average battery life. My s23 ultra from Google fi costs 599 and honestly this is been the best android smartphone I have used. I only charge this phone once a day for it to last me the entire day it could potentially last me for a day and a half doesn't overheat and it works better.

    I have a company issued pixel 6 and I really didn't like it and went back to my personal oneplus 8T. However after I dropped it and cracked the screen badly I have been browsing for a replacement. To be honest I read for 2-3 weeks and s23 series is way too expensive, s22 series is maybe ok used but still not cheap in Europe - we have Exynos anyway which I'm sure it's fine but also bashed by a lot of people... the simple s22/s23 is probably not a great battery phone to keep for several years.. ultra not cheap... oneplus 11 looks fine and i love my oneplus but with the patent disputes they are not sold in some Eu countries which is kinda eh i don't know... xiaomi and some others are priced as the serious competition and i just don't have the same confidence... today I found a pixel 7 pro for 450 on ebay allegedly great condition in case and with screen protector and at that price I simply cannot argue. I did look briefly at pixel 8 series but man, 1100 for the pro, 800 for the 8, it's way way too expensive, above my 600 ish psychological limit. I can plan to keep a phone for 4 years, but I'm glad if it lasts 2 before I smash it. Maybe I will keep it for 4 and then it's great.
    Phones are tough. We use them so much all day long but they are exorbitantly expensive and easy to destroy. It's not normal for like 99% of population to spend 1000 ish for a phone. In any country.

    Im from india, This is a review i posted in Flipkart where i brought the pixel 7 pro from, I am pasting same review here:
    I have been a long-time fan of the Pixel series, having used the Nexus 5, Nexus 6P, Pixel 2, and now the Pixel 7 Pro. My experience also extends to several Samsung flagship and mid-range phones. Before purchasing the Pixel 7 Pro, I was using the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
    Despite my history with Pixel devices, I must admit that I found the Pixel 7 Pro underwhelming. It doesn't quite meet the standards of a flagship device, and surprisingly, it reminded me more of Samsung's Note 20 Ultra with the Exynos chipset. It appears to me as if the Pixel 7 Pro is essentially a repackaged version of that phone, albeit with a few design tweaks and the Pixel OS.
    Regrettably, it shares the same overheating issues I experienced with the Samsung Note 20 Ultra. Even the Pixel Buds seem strikingly similar to Samsung's Buds, and I noticed a lot of resemblances in the corresponding headphone apps as well. Given the ongoing partnerships between Samsung and Google, it wouldn't be surprising if Google is essentially repurposing Samsung's older phones, headphones, and watches with minor hardware and software alterations.
    In terms of camera quality, while the Pixel 7 Pro is decent, it's now overshadowed by the current Samsung phones, which produce significantly superior photos. This is a noticeable shift from the past when Pixel was the leader in smartphone photography.
    On numerous occasions, my Pixel 7 Pro prevented me from using the camera due to overheating. Considering the device's performance and my overall experience, I would only recommend this phone as a mid-range option. However, its current price is too high for that category. A price tag of around 60k, excluding any discounts, would be more appropriate. At 80k, I believe it's not worth it and would recommend opting for a quality Samsung phone instead.
    Additionally, I also use an Asus ROG 3 phone. It offers more useful features than the Pixel, although the camera quality isn't as good, it lacks waterproofing, and the display isn't quite up to par. However, if future ROG phones improve their camera capabilities, I would definitely consider purchasing them.

  • @hsimpson1152
    @hsimpson1152 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I can't consider this a "Pro" phone . The performance is midrange at best. It has the google features like call screen and eraser... So if that's important to you that's fine, but i can't spend that money for a Tensor G2. Just get a 7.

    Two things that make this superior to the s23 ultra. 1. The pixel features, like call screen, are huge quality of life features that aren't replicated. 2. The camera is vastly superior in basically every scenario. Seriously, try taking pictures of your infant or per indoors, the s23 ultra is a smudgy mess on half the pics, while it's downright difficult to take a blurry pic on the pixel. I don't play games, so that's of zero consequence in my case. Both amazing phones. If Samsung could get within the same universe as the pixel with pictures, I'd never buy another pixel.

      @@sharifahmeddrindeed. It's like Google made a phone without planning to make it act like one. Yeah P7P has got the industry leading point and shoot capabilities, yeah the price is good, yeah it has iphone level autofocus speed and world class mobile AI. But everything falls flat if the basic functions suck.

    I’m looking for a USB-C splitter for my Pixel 7 Pro that can connect to its USB-C port. The splitter should have two female USB-C ports: one for connecting USB-C Apple EarPods too make phone calls, and the other for charging the phone and supporting data transfer. This data transfer should enable USB debugging mode, allowing me to use the mirroring application, scrcpy. I’ve noticed that most products on Amazon only supportt data transfer on the port that supports audioo, but not on the charging port. Can you recommend a product that meets these requirements?

    its dumb that every reviewer completely ignores the fact that the internet connection in 5G on this permanently drops if you're in mediocre coverage (which is most places not directly in a major metro because the antenna strength is garbage) and you have to reset it by going into airplane mode every 5-10 minutes to fix...OR stay in LTE permanently which is absolutely stupid for a 2023 flagship from a top tier company. Seriously wake up Google.

    I guess if I were a reviewer or money to burn, I'd be into a new Sony Xperia or something else with front facing stereo speakers. Which I'm hooked on. I'm still running the Pixel 3 XL. Why? The 1440 high resolution screen, all of pixels android 12 newer features. A decent camera and most of all. The front facing stereo speakers. Because the speakers are aiming right at me. Whether watching utube, movies, or just anything. The speakers compliment the great 6.3 screen.
    Now after 4 years my batt life is not top notch, and os and security updates are,,,not.
    So, i am looking for an upgrade or replacement of the battery. So it's a toss up. Plus, I'm a poor working stiff, so about 500 or there abouts is my limit. But I like the quality phones. But I so want front facing stereo speakers. Thus the Sony. Seeing Google didn't see fit to continue the trend. My interest is the Xperia 1 mark 3. Will get android 16 I think and features I want. But still around 6 hundred new. A little more than my budget allows. And the used ones are always questionable and they want around 5 for used. Disgusting. I do like my 3xl. So maybe later. The 7 pro was a hope, but haven't heard the greatest about it. My 3xl never gets hot. So what's with the heat thing?
    Thanks, good review 👍

    I usually don't comment on videos on TH-cam. But this is just straight out dumb: When a phone has a camera "pro mode" (e.g., Sony Xperia 1 iv/v) to Android Police, that is " too complicated" for the consumer. The Pixel 7 Pro does not have a "pro mode" and still takes amazing photos making it uncomplicated for the consumer. However, Android Police would like to see a "pro mode" in the Google Pixel 7 Pro. It is evident it is Android Police that needs a "pro mode" with differing statement like that.

    I bought my first pixel thinking that it'll be the perfect phone for Android. It was death by a thousand cuts. So so many bugs in every aspect. I have had the cheapest android phones from many brands and no issues specially compared to pixel.
    I decided I must have a lemon cause how could pixel be this terrible and I'd never hear about it. I upgraded to pixel 7 (from 6) as soon as I could. The pixel 7 is 10 times worse. I'm done with pixel forever.
    There are enough reviews made based on who pays for the review or who gives out free products that can really trust any reviews anymore.

    It's pretty funny how us Pixel fans always try to justify this with the "experience", even tho in reality it's an absolute shit phone for the price. But yea, the ui is beautiful 😂 I love it. Only reasons to buy a Pixel is for the camera (its literal namesake) and for the "pure android experience." Also good for installing custom ROM's. But if you just want to buy a decent phone for what the average user wants, it's not a good option. Half of the "amazing smart AI features" aren't even available outside of the US.

    I'm currently using and s23 ultra and it's an excellent phone, I'm tiring of the Samsung experience. As for the cameras they're great in the right conditions but more often than not I get slightly blurred pictures in medium lighting conditions. If it's not bright or dark I'm not confident in the outcome. If anyone can provide insight on the Pixels performance I'd appreciate it, I'm eagerly waiting for the 8 Pro in October

    • @kiranmudnaney
      @kiranmudnaney ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well I had the s23 before I got the pixel 7 pro .. And the only reason was the camera... The way Samsung processes the pictures under ambient lighting is very artificial looking and has a weird orange tint to it... Plus the shutter lag, no matter what updates they send for that.. And generally Samsung pictures are on the softer side... I couldn't capture 1 perfect sharp image of the entire function coz either the subject moves by the time it would capture the image or it would be too soft..
      Pixel on the other hand is the opposite, pictures are so sharp n crisp I rarely have to edit them .. Not a single blurred photo.. somehow it knows what frame to capture... In my opinion it's the best point and shoot camera in its class...

    • @SouloxYT
      @SouloxYT ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason I consisently go after Pixel is because of the camera. Samsung tends to have this artificial lighting or something in their software that makes photos look too unrealistic, Pixel has a very natural look when it comes to the camera which I enjoy heavily.
