- With yesterday's focus on stability in flow, today we continue with a heightened focus on ease. Day 13 is all about marrying action with presence and ease. A beautiful practice for life, if you ask me.
Let me know how this one goes for you in the comments below!

Today we practice with a certain softness.
How are you feeling after today's Ease practice?
I feel good and strong, this was a great abs workout 😊yes, thankful I am alive today!
It was hard today. I am really tired and my body was feeling off. But I did it and am so proud of myself.
I've never thought the word ease went with an ab workout but you suprised me 🤭 definitely goin to reevaluate my definition of ease and take that through my days.
It was not easy to get on the mat today. But the practice was great and i feel much better than before. It was a cool practice. Dankeschön dafür ❤
I did yesterday's and today's back to back -- definitely got a good workout in :)
“Oh to be alive today!” This is a sneaky core workout. I love it. Thank you, Adriene.
I was not expecting that today 😂 Loved it though!
Haha! I'm feeling my core now
lol she tricked us ❤❤
Sneaky indeed!!
Lol. I came here to say ‘sneaky’. Thanks
Came for the mindfulness, left with six pack abs
Now, I get it. It's not about choosing to do easy things. It's about incorporating ease to the difficult ones.
Exactly 😂
I love how you said this, thx
U're welcome. Namaste!@@kathrynmeyer9344
I wrote this down. Thank you!
u're welcome. Namaste@@kathrynmeyer9344
I also laughed at how Adriene sneaked all that hard work into the theme of ease, but at the same time, it did make me feel differently about the work. I have found so much more compassion for myself through this practice and through everyone’s comments. Thank you, one and all.
Yeh it's not what I expected for ease either...but, it was clever in how she provided lots of invitation to come back to softness 🙏
She always sneaks an ab day and reframes it, dammitttt but it feels good in the end
Agree! I wasn’t expecting core work!
Shhhh 😢
She's a tricksy hobbitsies for sure! But it worked on this little person!
Naming a core one ease, Adrienne keeping a good attitude and sense of humor
My daughter who is 3 joined me today. She did a few yoga poses but then rolled up her blanket and shouted Yoga! Over and over 🤣 and then ran circles around me the rest of the time. And at the very end she put her blanket over top of me ❤️
I love the concept of finding ease within difficult moments, a reminder that you never have to lose your softness even in a hard world. Beautiful and challenging yet calming practice. ☺️
totally agree
I definitely struggled to find ease throughout this one 😂But I'm proud of myself for being kind to myself and doing my best. We're nearly at the halfway mark folks! ✨
Good job!! 👏
I too struggled with ease. I am a clencher by nature and especially with core work.
Ease, but not Easy!
I was excited to see “Ease” as the title for this one as I’m tired today…then you know how it went 😂 See you all tomorrow!
I have to be honest, this has been the hardest one for me. I really struggled but I did my best today! 🌟
me too, not even sure that I did my best but I did it!
me too, did the best I could
Totally agree. "Ease" was not so easy! I struggled a lot today. It's about being kind to yourself, I think.
i can relate!
Yep my shoulders hated every single crunching movement.
Today I wore socks and wished there wasn’t any downward facing dog and then half way through I wished there was, because my abs were killing me lol. I also laughed when Adriene said at the end “oh to be alive today” haha. Thank you Adriene, this is just what I needed today. To be reminded that I can do it, even if is hard, I just have to ease into it. Sending love and positivity to everyone practicing!!! ❤❤❤
Omg can relate haha I finally got a cover for my mat and put it to use today with no downward facing dog 😂 but still left feeling great nonetheless!
The sentence "you are alive" was just what I needed to hear today. It perfectly matched the philosophy of your class, trying to find ease in intensity, thank you so much Adrienne !
My abs jùst stopped being sore from day 6 😂♥️ buuut it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Even after I fell asleep on the couch, I managed to do this practice. Sweet dreams everyone, especially to the 4000 yogis that joined me again today ♥️✨
I've started late, with a broken heart... but here I am, "alive today". Thank you Adriene.
Adriene teaching us that ease doesn’t necessarily mean “easy”. And that softness requires focus and attention. Love it!
I love reading everyone's comments about how they had one idea of ease in their mind and Adriene took it a different direction. The beauty of yoga is truly astounding
When we focus on the 'ease' rather than the 'doing', I find that I can move through the practice more gracefully. A great lesson to walk off the mat with... Thankyou, Adriene xxx
Thank you Adriene. A lot of life lessons here as I head into what will most likely be the hardest week of my life to this point. It’s funny how our prayers get answered in the most unlikely of ways. I have been asking the Universe to help me to find a way through this difficult season of my life, and this morning I felt an answer through the layers of today’s practice.
Phew! That was an unexpected start to the day! Glad I did it first thing in the morning so I wasn't quite awake yet. I am now 😂 Congrats y'all on day 13 … let's conquer the rest of the day with ease ❤
loved this workout and for anyone reading this, i wish you all a great day
Today I was among the first 100 yogi friends to show up on the mat! 🎉 so proud of myself for continuing this journey. Thanks Adriene for everything you do and teach us ❤
You're amazing!!
Well done!✊🏾... I practiced nicely from London UK....about you?
☀️🎶Easy like a Sunday morning 🎶☀️
Happy day 13 everyone!!
I loved trying to find ease during a difficult practice today. It would have been a breeze to find ease in an easy practice but this challenged me in its opposition and I am grateful for it. Hope you all have a restful start to the new week❤
Thank you and same to you lovely ✨
This was such an interesting, and beautiful practice for me! I never would have put "ease" and "ab workout" together before, but what a truly beautiful way to teach us to find ease even in the hard times. Beautiful. I am so proud of all of us for continuing this magnificent journey, and I am sending everyone so much love and light. May today be all you need it to be :). Namaste
I need a manual to explain how to relax my neck and shoulders while I strengthen my core.
I enjoyed today's practice so much. I started just when it's started to rain in here. Hearing the drops of rain on the window was super relaxing. Helped a lot to find my suka.
Thank you Adriene, thanks to this wonderful community.
I notoced that Adrienne has her elbows in quite far in front of her face during the crunches bit. I've always been taught to keep my arms wide at this point, elbows out to the side to stop you from crunching your neck and spine, so that might help you. Tuck your chin in slightly and focus on using your core to pull you up, rather than just trying to get yourself forward. It doesn't matter if you don't pull up very far, as long as it's core muscles pulling you up, not your neck and shoulders. You can also do these exercises with ypur head and shoulders down if you feel as if your neck is hurting or being pulled too much. Then once you've built a bit more strength, bring your shoulders and head up :)
Oh to be alive today! What a blessing this gift of a new day is✨🙏. Todays morning practice has helped me ease into the day, gratefully grounded in the present with a softness and sense of calm that will support me on my journey. Wishing you all an easy, breezy day, whatever you’re doing. Let’s all make sure we take time today to notice the beautiful moments and aspects of life because they are truly all around, yet we can only notice them when we are in a state of ease, a state which Adriene has so deftly helped us to shift into. Namaste to you all my fellow yoga friends💓 xx
Saving this one! Effective and nice core workout. Can't believe we're almost at the half mark, don't want this series to end. Love how the power of small habits can change so much.
Happy Sunday everyone! ❤
This is my third year doing Yoga with Adriene and Benji, And I still find core floor work painful trying to breathe in sync with my mind, body and spirit with softness in my face and jaws. I used to be able to do this with ease but my pelvic muscles and abs are not as strong after four children but it is really important to do these exercises as we age to feel stronger and flexible. Thank you from Australia. x
Oh yes!.... helpful tips. You are amazing... that's my aim after five as well 💕🙏🏾
same here! third year doing this and my core feels a mess after 4 kids
Same here, I have only two kids and my pelvic muscles never recovered and I feel like I can't reach muscles I used to be able to control.
0:03 agree ive been doing this 30 day challenge for my 4th year and it does keep getting better and more purposeful. I love it:)
Got to keep moving the body to stay strong! It’ll be 54 on 18 January so got to work it 😂❤ut
Loved it ... again. Lots of love and gratitude to all practicing ❤❤❤ Namaste everyone🙏
Day 13! Not so lucky for me. I struggled with a monkey mind from the very beginning. And throughout. There were moments where I noticed I had more ease, but other times I was just wishing it was over.
Not every session can be "picture perfect". Even tho I struggled it felt good at the end. ❤
To everyone coming this far; huzzah! We're awesome🎉
I love todays quote - be in the mess of being human - nothing to transcend, everything to come home to 🥰 thank u A
Even being this late to today’s practice, there were still 150 others practising at the same time, thank you ☺️
@lucieharris5784 How are you seeing how many others are practicing at the same time?
@@michellewinterdesign click on “more”. Then it says how many views. Then check again at end of your practice 😊
It's fun to check and see, especially when practicing on a different schedule... it helps remind me that I am not alone. 🙂 I just competed today's practice, Day 13, with 241 other folks! Namaste 🤍
Namaste and Good evening from the Vanarian island of Tenerife. I did this 13th day of Adriene's 30 days yoga journey in the mountains under a lonely star on one side and a fiery red sunset on the other. Though ease is not my strong side it was a completely new experience for me to do yoga in such an abundance of nature. Thank you all and Namaste.❤
Thank you for helping me become a better human
Wow! Did I need to take breaks several times? Yes. But did I also enjoy? Yes. Hope to strenghten my core with time 😄
Definetly understan the "Exactly what i need today" posts. Today is my first day of university year 4 or 5 here and I've been having episodes where i almost have a panic attack thinking i am not ready for another semester, so much estress in myself. Thank you very much. EASE, it's exaclty what i need for today
Flow Day 13:01:24✅.. 🌼 Ease🌼 Happy Sunday from London UK... I totally adore these practices so much, 😊sweet lovely flow, I've noticed more improvement in my strength, feeling so good, more at ease with my body, mind and soul...i am flowing in improved flexibility with my back postures on & off the mat so far...Thanks a million Darling Adrienne.🧡🌹💐 Enjoy! we've got this!✊🏾😊 flow..y friends & see you all 2moro for day 14✨Namaste🧡✌🏾
Happy Flowday from just round the corner in Southampton 👍x
I'm down in good old Thanet so hello 👋 from down here 😊 Can you believe we're nearly half way through! 😮
@@tomryan6461😄👋🏾Hello Southampton flower buddy... it's lovely to practice with you and all...💕🙏🏾
@@kerriepayne634 😄👋🏾Hello to you too...I can't believe it either...we're nearly halfway mark,🤞🏾😅 Happy Sunday flow as we ease through.💕🙏🏾
Never thought I could bring ease into core work. A beautiful discovery. ❤️
I don't think I'll ever do a core routine the way I did before. This is my favourite so far!
Ease is such a mindset. I can in on a hard day, saw the title "ease" and knew I could do it. It was still challenging, but the mindset changed it game. Let's apply "ease" to all that we do ❤
Only Adriene would have "Ease" be a secret core focused practice. What a shift in perspective! I feel upside down in a confusing yet good way.
Love the Sunday yoga! My cat settled in on my chest at the beginning. Really helped me find ease in movement trying not to disturb her😂🌞
Hello from Uxbridge, West London. I'm doing these sessions at about 8am most mornings - a bit later if I have a live morning class to go to as well! It would be nice to do them live but just too early for me! I was bothered about that at first then told myself, hey, it really doesn't matter, just do 'em! Long-time yoga practitioner now a bit arthritic but still have excellent flexibility thanks to many years of yoga. I've even staved off a hip replacement op by doing my regular practice. Love that my surgeon recommends yoga for hip arthritis! Thank you Adriene for your help in this, and all given free, what a gift to your fellow humans! Your daily quotations are beautiful. Today's was very moving, not to seek perfection, just feel the joy - and the grief. Wow. Namasté 🙏🏼
I never felt so comfortable doing core work! ❤❤
Up and yoga-ing at 7am in Devon England on a Sunday - unsual but feels great. Really focussing on self care this January and on gratitude for each day - Flow is integral to this. So grateful for it. Go well all xxx
Nice 👍 ❤
Lovely✊🏾❤️...I agree, flowing at ease from London....😊🙏🏾
Hi everyone. Beautiful practice. Not exactly what I expected for ease practice but still awesome... Happy Sunday. May your day flow with grace and ease. See you tomorrow😊.
I took a week off from this challenge because I realized I needed to finally invest in a new yoga mat, so I am back on track! I this was the last one I did before my break so I figured it was a good way to jump back in. Happy to be here with everyone again.
This was a nice core challenge 🙂. It was good, needed it. Happy Sunday to everyone.
Adriene got me today. Didn't realize I was going into a core practice this morning. But it's really interesting how thinking it was going to be easy made the core work seem less laborious. Thank you for your many lessons, Adriene.
During the cold days of winter...this offers an inner Springtime. I've always said Spring and Fall were my favorite seasons. This is my 2nd year beginning with Yoga With Adriene...the practice is making me wonder if January to May has become my new favorite... before the hustle and expectations of summer.
My state of mind is more invigorated, yet calm.
Yes she definitely did it with ‘ease’. Me on the other hand…😂.
My abs are crying for help
Well I can speak with complete sincerity that one of the best parts of being alive for me has become my at home practice with Yoga with Adriene. Second time through this series and hope to go through it many more times, it's a truly beautiful one❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Struggling with my studies, but this makes me feel better.
I loved the sneaky core workout. We must learn not to dread it but work on it so it will be ease-ier. Happy abs everyone and thank you dear Adriene for knowing not what we want but what we need 💕🤗🙏
Great job to everyone! When I finish this challenge it will be my longest streak ever of consistently doing yoga 🧘♀️
A hard one! but felt so good. So good to take this time for ourselves. It does me so much good. Wishing everyone well today.
I just love Bendji´s presence all the time, the best decision ever!
Sneaked in some pilates. Loved it. Blessed day to all the adriennettes
Life has been strwssful this past week and after missing 7 days I finally catched up today by doing Day 12 & 13 (one in the morning and one in the evening). Starting and ending the day with Yoga is the best feeling! I'm trying not to blame myself and not stress about not being on the actual day 20 anymore today. It's difficult for me to stay nice to myself in situations like this one. However, I love to read all the comments by the community after the practice and once in a while I feel the need to share my experience too, like today!😁 Be nice to yourself, no matter what you did today, be greatful for every little thing you've accomplished!💞
Also playing catch up over here! 🐢
Same! Live just sometimes gets in the way, but we can still enjoy the journey at our own pace :)
Same! 😢
Dont worry about it ❤ I just arrived here
It is negative stupid degrees outside today, but I am on fire with the yoga!
Today was really challenging, a bit too challenging for my poor abs, so i'm kind of bumbed out. But also happy that I did it, even if I looked/feel bad doing it. Here is to hoping that tomorrow will be easier.
I was just saying "what a time to be alive!" While we're experiencing this deep freeze. Ironic that you said the same thing! I'll take it as a sign to enjoy life for what it is today. Besides all that, I started this practice giggling and smiling because my cat wanted to lay on my belly, even in bridge pose! He eventually got annoyed and walked away, but I kept laughing at how he just stayed there at first. 😂
So thankful these are all 20 mins or less ❤ OH TO BE ALIVE! 🎉
What a beautiful practice. The perfect way to ease into my Sunday evening and wrap up my weekend.
So grateful for another great and mindful practice. Funding ease when things are difficult such a life lesson right there. Have a great day/evening everyone 🧘♀️
During Happy Baby my cat decided that it's perfect time to lay down on my chest 😂 She was very confused when I started doing crunches :) Happy Sunday everyone!
Certainly a practice that reminded me to take it easy but to take it!
Love that
You've given me a new mantra to say! "Take it easy, but take it."
@@soulwithwings123 😁
This one left me feeling and saying to myself "Okay, I can tackle THE things with ease today."
At first I felt relieved as the theme was ease, but then I saw the pose... and I knew it was going to be a tough one hahahah. No but in all honesty, finding ease in difficult moments is very important, because that's the reality of our lives. Some days are harder and some are easier, but we can still focus on finding the ease within every moment. Thank you for reminding us of that Adriene! Sending you lots of love from Sweden
I got a day behind several days ago and I did stability and ease together to get back on track. They complemented each other marvelously. 😊 ~ Namaste
ADRIENE is the Bob Ross of Yoga❤
This practice found me exactly where I was today. It's quite cold here, but I'd also come to the may following a difficult moment, and I shook through most of the body scan.
One of the things that really hit me about this practice was the physical journey. When I first started yoga, I couldn't lower myself with control from a plank to my belly. I came to yoga for the meditation and received physical tone by accident. Now, after nearly four years, I'm quite strong. I stopped for a second and realized that there were so many others who are hearing your cues about wherever you are in boat pose being just fine without any idea of what the "actual pose" is "supposed" to look like, just like me all those years ago. It made me feel really connected to this community in a way I never have.
I’m pleased I kept my face soft rather than gurning as I did the core work. It didn’t make me better at it but it helped me understand a bit more about finding ease in the tough stuff.
Happy Sunday, and happy flowing, everyone! Thank you, Adriene, for making our January days so much brighter. Love from icy Southern France this morning ❄☀🙏
Yes!!
Only Adriene could have a core routine focused on ease that I wouldn’t simply laugh at the concept! Ease was certainly a struggle but it was a lovely reminder to be kind to myself ❤️
Thank you Adrienne. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every day’s practise so far. Today was no exception, although I did struggle with the core work. “Oh to be alive today!”
This was about finding ease beyond physical pain for me, felt like I was trying to meditate under an ice cold waterfall. It felt so cool to access that realm of my being. Will try to access it more often from here on.
Up at 6am on a Sunday for yoga! Only for Adriene😊 Thank you, I’m loving this series, it’s been just what I needed this year. 🙏
Glad to hear, this has been soo nice for me to. I'm starting the year with new energy and these 30 days always give me such a lovely feeling. Consistency is key and with these 30 days it's so easy to be consistent ❤️
I love that these practices are short and sweet, thanks Adriene.
Thank you Adriene for all that you do and continually showing up to provide this content for this community ❤️
Thank you Adriene and Benji plus all involved in making 30 days of yoga, this is my 7th year, I'm so grateful to of found yoga with Adriene namaste 🙏 ❤🧘♀️
omg same how cool! its my 7th year too!
Sunday yoga, breaking my usual pattern of one day a week free of exercise, meeting my intention to complete 31 days of Flow. I’m beginning to move from just getting into the poses to softening and removing tension, flowing with Ease. Thank you Adriene for this opportunity to be part of this community and to practice with 1,100 others on a beautiful crisp Sunday morning in Lincolnshire UK. Namaste 🙏💕🧘♀
I, too, usually take Sunday’s off but want to put myself fully in challenge. The slow pace helped with ease but core work is tough!
I’m going to come back to this one again. Core is my Achilles heel of yoga. This was a great one for core.
Sneaky Adriene!! But thankful for you always pushing us, but with EASE! Well done everyone🎉
This practice warmed me up on this cold day. When I awoke this morning, my mind was not at ease... and now, after this practice, there is a gentling in my spirit. Lots of love to everyone here.
One of the trickiest so far for me, alongside Day 6! As usual when doing core work my back wasn't feeling it - had to take a couple of breaks but I'm happy to have showed up and made it to the end. See you all tomorrow!
I also had to take breaks. But we did it!
Same, I always dread core on the floor because it takes my back out. Does anyone have a modification for this? I always skip happy baby for that reason. Took many breaks, but finished it.
Day 13, you sneaky little thing! I wasn’t expecting the deep core work but always appreciate it 🩵
This was a good reminder than “ease” doesn’t always come easily. It’s a work in progress. 🙏🏻 Oh to be alive today!! ✨🥳❤️ thank you! 🙏🏻💛
Phew! That was tough. I loved it! Our fearless leader is awesome.
Sidelined by covid yesterday, feeling better today so I did yesterday’s and today’s to catch up. Thanks everyone! Have a great day🎉
I’m sick too! Took it real gentle and easy today. Get well soon ❤
You showed up and that’ is what counts. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
I don't usually associate ease with core exercises haha but I tried my best to practice with ease. Can't believe we're on day 13! Keep it up everyone :)
Ease . . . and then it was CORE! Love it, Adriene!
I woke feeling like I'd probably spend the day in bed but armed with tenderness I got myself to the mat and did EASE, and now feel vitality flowing 🙏... 💕 I can really feel the flow of working with the energetic body in this 30 days! like it's always been a layered experience doing these with you Adriene, but this one feels more intentional or deeper! THANK YOU!! 🥰
Happy Sunday from Queensland Australia! I’m a shift worker and start night shifts tonight-this was a sneaky wake up one but soo good for my hips! Thank you love you xx 🙏💕🙌
Even if there was a core workout in there, staying low to the ground was just what I wanted today! See you all tomorrow :) Flow Day 13, January 2024 🍒
(and I enjoyed the core itself, too!)
Short & sweet with a little treat for the abs!
Thank you Adriene this is my 43 day straight. I had my hip replaced eight years ago. This is the first time I've been able to be this constant and balanced in my practice. Thank you for you showing up everyday, your friend Xavienne
Day 13 done as well! We are doing so good! Keep up the good work for ourself and our bodies everyone! :3
Thank you for the perfect stretch out after a big snow shovel!! I hope everyone is enjoying this journey!! Namaste ~
I turned on a little heater next to my yoga mat, I was freezing this morning!
I thought this workout was very hard, but realized that i also did some heavy duty shoveling yesterday and maybe I shouldn’t be beating myself up so much for feeling that I didn’t do a great job on this one. If I listen to my body, I was tired and sore today way before doing today’s session.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to do these practices along with you.
I have multiple sclerosis and control, pain and muscle spasms with various activities, I do 30 minutes of my normal yoga routine before I do one of yours with you. That may, I don’t have so many spasms and can enjoy learning new more advanced poses. So once again thank you. Namaste
Thank you Adriene for Day 13 - Ease! I have been a little distracted and procrastinating my meditation and Yoga practice to evenings. I kind of feel guilty and stressed out it. I hope I get back on track soon
