Just starting my drawing learning journey, this is by far the best ressource I found. it explain the global design process, the use of layers, the lighting. Honestly great job ! I saw you made a full series on it and started again a few month ago with water. I'm pretty sure I'll watch all of them and the next to come (if any).
This makes me so happy! 😁Thank you so much for your kind words! And yes, there will be more material tutorials! Good luck in your learning journey and if you have any questions, feel free to ask! ☺
Nice! I'm looking for exercises to improve my texturing skills in Blender and I'm going to try to recreate this (without letting blender do the lighting of course😅)
Hi, I don't understand how the brushes work, I have when I paint with color, I get the strokes layering on top of each other and overlapping. It ends up being a mess. I compare it to what you have in your video and it looks different. Do you have any tutorial about brushes and how to use them in what situations.
What I'm thinking is that you probably accidentally lowered the brush opacity so that's why the brushes are acting differently :) Here's the link to the video to explain more about brushes and the settings: th-cam.com/video/82nTpNTaSB8/w-d-xo.html at 05:57
@@ellasketch Thanks for the quick response. I tried reducing Flow and the brush behaves like in the video or similar. But interestingly, if I set the flow to 2%, it works like 100%. Anyway I will watch the video now. UPD: I think I have an old tablet and this could be a problem, I have a Wacom Pt-s, it's probably 10 years old now, it's just been lying idle. On the photoshop forum, I found some posts about a similar problem that is solved by adjusting the pressure settings. But I don't have such settings as in the solution.
Hello Ella. please could you mentor me on digital painting, I have been trying to learn with photoshop buh its not easy and the result is always coming out in lower resolution 🥺
Hello Emmanuel! I'm really glad that you find some value in my videos, but unfortunately I'm still not that qualified to mentor someone 1 on 1. But, I'm definitely going to continue making these types of videos and share as much knowledge as I can. Stay around for more beginner friendly tutorials :) Btw, I'll have in mind your comment and I'll try to focus on even more beginner stuff!
thanks, this video was so helpful!

@@ellasketch I shall :D instead of cutting away from the shape I'm sculpting it and trying to reduce shading from blender as much as possible.
