*DO NOT DO* what we did in this video.(snow cave building starts at 4:24) This could have gone awful for us. We made the shape of the cave incorrectly and it could have been deadly. We were jumping up and down up top between multiple people before spending the night in there, but clearly shape of cave is really important. The roof wasn't crazy thick as we dug up pretty high, and we couldn't see any visible sagging from the outside. But the whole cave did become smaller overnight for sure. Our best guess is it was the weight of the snow and the warmth of our breath melting snow while sleeping. I've got plenty of links in the description to my favourite products and various different things. Make sure to follow along for future adventures.
This is awesome, just found your channel the other day! Awesome to see you are down for any adventure! Keep it up, thanks for sharing tips, and I always appreciate honesty keeping people safe, live and learn!🤘
We were jumping up and down up top between multiple people before spending the night in there. Our cave shape was definitely the worse culprit, not enough roof support.
Great to see you all came through good. We did one snow camp as cub scouts... told myself then that was not happening *ever* again. At least not without a chalet nearby : ] great days to you Levi
Awesome video Levi! I recently slept in a quinzee too (video coming soon) and once I got over some mild claustrophobia it was a really cool experience. Glad to see you guys had fun with this one as well, even if you ended up getting wet and had a sagging roof 😂
Hey Levi, you mentioned the radios but didn't link them in the description. Were they missed off because you wouldn't recommend them as a product? I've been looking at grabbing a pair for backcountry explorations when partnering and between the big selection from Motorola and Cobra it's hard to believe some of their distance and battery life claims. Thoughts? Suggestions?
My friend's dad use to go up to the boundary waters in the winter and make igloo caves with a single hole in the middle and 1 candle for warmth. They used a string in the middle to make sure each snow block was perfect. Do you think the reason everything got wet was because there was no vent for all the warm air? Fun times!
Hey Levi. Grateful for your videos. At 10:24 you mention you would show how you get your video game-style shots, but unless I missed something, the rest of your video post your Squarespace punt is all about your gear and has nothing to do with video game-style shots. Stay cool ✌️
@@Levi_Allen Okay found it. Would be great if you could show us how you use your gear for specific shots. I kind of get what you're saying, but I feel that until I can actually play with a 360 camera, I probably have to live vicariously through people like you. So do share next time you use it that way if you can. Thank you sir, appreciate you getting back to me.
I wish you would be videographer for Anders Hofmans Projekt Iceman. Love your documentary Style and would have hoped to see you in Antarctica. In you havent heared of project iceman you should definitly check it out.
That adventure was so freaking MALE my adult female brain developed cross-eyed glitches that eventually froze and locked into the background wall photo to the right of Levi during the pack breakdown and finally stabilized. I need a drink. You guys are crazy! 🙄 Impressive packing skills that would make a mom proud❤️. Guess who's in charge of the Baby Bag some day 😘

21 minute video is disliked 5 minutes after it was posted, come on people at least watch the video before disliking it!
Absolutely well thought out system. Looks like you had a blast
Sick video! Drift wood shots were off the rails cool! I also cant believe how informative the video later became. I think this is one of your best!

Yeah, that cave was ripe for a cave-in. Whew. Lot of snow overhead.

Great video as always! What Vhf do you use? I've been looking for something durable and you definitely seem to have out it through it's paces

Craig Jamieson I will try show me using it, but it’s literally just me holding a selfie stick as I snowboard
@@Levi_Allen 😂 fair enough, no need to show that, I get you.
Better then Jessie 😁 Killer Montage!

Sleeping in the snow is dumb, but your editing is dope. 😆
