Wahoo! 10 days of our 10 year anniversary celebration Left! So many more rad videos coming as we celebrate our anniversary. Thanks for the support and enjoying the ride. You know the drill, leave a comment and I'll pick 5 of you to win a T-shirt. I am currently behind in messaging winners, so my apologies big time. I am back from holidays and will be reaching out asap! Thanks for the support.
You are a brave soul, Levi Allen. I am especially impressed with how comfortable you are sitting in front of and talking to the camera. With the exception of the 6 layers of bedding I'm under, I am transported across the fire from you listening to your soothing voice. Stay safe and warm. ✌️
I hope you had a rad Christmas Chad! TH-cam needs a special winter edition play button for us winter addicted folks ; ) your latest trailer got me so hyped. the new van looks incredible charging through the snow
just saw your latest as well! love all the hard work going into the solo missions. so many unique challenges self filming, but I love the challenge. see you out on the trails sometime
okay, honestly mate. the cinematography in this one is on a different level. the opening of you walking! Crazy - I mean probably the best thing I have seen in a long long time! KUDOS!
5:45 In all the TH-cam videos I've watched about camping and starting fires with a ferrous rod this is the first time it's been used properly. Most just go crazy with it hoping something will light. Nice job.
Watching you carve out the opening, I had a flashback to being a kid and making caves in the snow when it would dump on our property. Thanks for that memory, and as always for the inspiration!
Levi, another greatly crafted session. As we are covered in snow here in North Vancouver I felt like I was right there with you. It was nice to see you dining top drawer while you were in such freezing temps. You demonstrate actions that we should all strive to be in if we truly want to live a richer life. Thanks for all that you do.
Dear Levi, the algorithm brought me here. 50 minutes ago I’d guess. I started with the igloo video and I now watch this. It’s not only the awesome quality of the videos it’s you as well. It’s relaxing and exciting to watch. Thank you very much! Cheers from a friend from Germany
I came here 4 years ago when I was interested in gh5 info. I stuck around for quite a while, but wandered off. Occasionally came back for van life stuff, but was preoccupied with other life things. These last few videos have been really energizing for ME! Stuck at home through COVID and having 2 very young children, I've been able to live vicariously through some of these videos. I think the allure of these types of videos is that doing this kind of stuff is hard. Hard things are worth doing. You're passion for the outdoors really comes through and you don't make it look easy, you make it look real. 👍
WOWSER ! From the start I thought I was about to see a feature film and that's what I have just watched. Not something I would expect to find on TH-cam but on a pay per view service like Netflix ... Levi you are awesome and I can only dream of ever doing something half as good as this in my life time .. its Tickety-Boo!
“Ol’ Scooter” down in East Texas chiming in with major kudos. Way back when I was a US Navy medical guy serving with the Marines, we did a lot of cold weather training and operations and we used love it so much...building snow caves and quinzees, as well as other improvised snow shelters, many of then I never heard or learned any names for them. We built really sad igloos since we were at altitude and our snow fine and powdery, but we fun doing what did! I love your sense of adventure and watching you mature over the years, I’m proud of how far you come and all you have overcomes, as well! You always make this old guy feel good. Keep On Keeping On!!
Loving having new videos to watch… taking on these challenges and adventures is a real inspiration and filming them to such a high quality just adds so much. Really enjoyed all your “behind the scenes” style too from the van builds to the recent trek in the wind. Keeping them coming!
All of these great skills I learned in Boy Scouts are coming back watching this. It's been a while since I've done cold weather camping and it is so different than anything else. Loving the variety of the videos over the last month. Best of luck this year!
Rarely seen a person with such a genuinely positive attitude. Heartwarming to see how you enjoy yourself whilst out by yourself. Love the content - keep it coming :)
Hey Levi, I just wanted to say thanks. While watching you make these solo films hasn't made me want to make my own films, it has made me want to go on my own solo adventures - and for that, I genuinely thank you. It can be a struggle to be motivated, so I appreciate the help.
That's awesome! It's hard to find excuses when we realize all that's limiting ourselves from interesting challenges is ourselves. Appreciate you stopping by Sam
Loved this! Brilliant combo of snow, water, ice, excellent cinematography and simple but skilled storytelling. I am curious though, how much time did you spend in total building it? guessing it must have been around 15hours work over 2 days? I had a feeling watching it that there were a lot of frustrations and experiments going on outside the short time we spend watching you build it.
Your videos have come so far. It has been fun following you. I think this solo series is a heck of a good idea. Thank you for making these and PLEASE keep em coming
That was some effort you went through. Nice camp. I’ve already seen a video or two of yours and didn’t realize till you showed clips of your other stuff and then I checked out the home page. You got some action going on and a cute family. Thanks for the deep inspiration words, especially the five years until you were really happy with a video. I needed that.
Great video. There are 2 kinds of people those who embrace the cold and those stay home to watch others enjoy the snow; I'd rather watch others get cold I'm a fan of warmth LOL
Live Levi ! Ontario oration, creation sensation - hear you talk with a smile - let's watch you a while. You govern a Dutch oven, know what to do with a stew and after your dinsie go to sleep in the quinzhee - no wonder we view !
I’ve been binge watching your videos , this inspires me to do the same since I have been wanting to do this for the past 2 years , Greetings from WA , USA 🇺🇸
Been saving this as a reward til I'd wrapped on a project of my own - not disappointed! Can't wait for the igloo build, already looking great from the member's sneak peek. Keep on making dude 👊
You can also porcupine the snow pile with even length twigs so that you can tell inside if you are digging too close to the outside of your snow shelter. Looking forward to more of your winter videos.
For the first two minutes I was convinced that it was an other person in an orange coat. The larger frosty beard, no glasses. But I'm glad I was wrong. Great video once again.
Lovely Levi. I bought an early channel t-shirt many years ago and am proud of it. I also live at 50N here in Europe but the continental differences make for a different environment. Stay safe and keep creating!
Awesome video! One can really feel how much you enjoy camping and being in nature as well as telling stories. I enjoy each and every one of your videos a lot! Life's better when you make stuff :)
The number of times I had the though "how is he filming this while on a solo camping trip, in the winter, on a lake?" is astronomical. Such a cool look at a solo night in the wild. Thanks for making and sharing!
I love the winter camping but I think palling around with you will be so much fun! From dead center New York state. Its cold and snowy here in the Adirondack foothills. But outdoors is fun all year round here too.
When I was taught to make a quinzhee we were taught to snap up a bunch of twigs to the same length and push them into the mound before it settles ,then when you dig it out if you reach twig stop that way you have a uniform thickness of roof above you

I took a picture of him and his wife.

This is one guy who never seems down. Is he ever cold? This is his day off from building an igloo made from sawed ice. Love it!
Dude! Tag that warning of binge-watching on your vids. They're damn addictive! Anyway, I'm loving it!
Love watching your videos greetings from sunny republic of northern Cyprus 😀

Taking that first bite of hot food on a cold winter's day camping is SOOOO relatable. Excellent video!
It really is!
I don’t think people realize how much work it is filming this. AMAZING!
It does take 3x as long to do everything haha

So fun. It’s like your taking a Foresty Forest storyline with adventure meets cooking show. Love it :) looking forward to your igloo vid.
Loved the cast away feel to the opening sequence. I was looking for Wilson. I Loved waching you winter camp. I'm not sure I'll ever do it.

Man this is some serious gourmet food!!! That lunch looked soooooo good!! Stay safe :)
Trying to up my cooking game as I have a tendency to be a little basic haha
I’m not sure which is crazier slack lining over a canyon or camping in -40 degree weather. But it does make for great videos.
