      Scott: AMAZING build, buddy! Wow! I've been watching builds for years; few I've liked. But yours is one! I'm with you- smaller footprint, 4x4 mandatory, lots of juice, etc.

    Scott seems like the chillest dude. Awesome work!

    Great episode, Levi! Thanks for sharing Scott's Van build! His 2nd build is truly impressive and I see the logic in using aluminum instead of plywood.

    I was consuming a ton of your videos during the last days cause it was rainy here in Portugal. Love the way you are editing and telling the story. I also love the way you are using the perfect song everytime and the quality and colour grade is on top! Just want to say thanks, hope I can use some us your techniques during the next few years in my videos to improve them. Wish you all the best, stay safe! ☀️😊

    My walls and roof will be 4mm plywood. I will use wood for the whole build. But where it needs to be strong I will take the extra step to make a frame and then use a 4mm ply to finish it up. And Im planning some nice round corners so the bed couch and kitchen becomes like one piece.
    My 130L watertank will be inside and 36L wastewater tank under the body!
    Mine is also 4x4 on 40inch tires portal axles and full lockers 😁

    Levi when you finally upgrade to a larger vehicle for your family can I suggest a cargo trailer. I have been watching videos on conversions for them and was surprised by how many took theirs off road into difficult terrain. I Ride have interviews with some truly amazing older people who have done mind blowing conversions.

    My personal goal with a van would be to make it feel like an apartment so I would probably have a bigger van but for someone like Scott who wants it more functional a smaller van is the way to go

    Funny... we also built a van a few years ago, and our number one complaint is how heavy it is (still under GVW... barely). The weight is a literal anchor on the adventure vibes.

    Love the Radiant heat idea! I am not yet working on my conversion and still in early planning stages and have questioned if this was possible. May be a dumb questions but any concerns of higher moisture content over just the external forced hot air heater or wood stove?

  • @krimke881
    @krimke881 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I can't really understand why you don't choose to insulate the flooor with 10cm kingspan, put a rug down, and save the space and compilation the floor heating system takes. You can walk barefoot midt-winter, and still have a warm and cosy van and hot water, with a webasto and heat exchanger or the Swedish system called Alde. Its so cost effective, and saves a space. If you also insulate watertanks, coolers and do window insulation. You save hundreds of watts in heting energy. It's a no-brainer 😁. I don't see any "fabricators" do this. Even though the build finish seem to be awesome.
    On another chapter.. I totally agree with you Levi. That experience you have getting to see those people, experience what they do, and their success, really inspires.
