Owned my gt86 for a little over 2 years now, I'm in love with it
@@beanwater22 hell yeah! They're great cars!
I bought a 12 plate 2 years ago with just 28k miles on it at the time, best car ever
@@isuk they're great cars! Too many people look down on them without ever experiencing them
I've bought mine 1.5 year ago, it's a 2014 version with 54k miles on the clock. Now I'm at 80k. It is my daily. I'm wandering how long will it keep going before I will need to start spending the big bucks.
So far I'm loving it. And I want to keep it for as long as possible.
I'd say keep the car mate! Keep on the good work on the YT channel. It's a great quality content!
Thank you and best of luck!
@@sk1p3r thanks mate I really appreciate that! 😁
And yeah I think I'm going to keep it, and just work a bit harder on building it and modifying it. And I'm glad you're enjoying yours too! 😁
I have a GT86 2018 facelift with 150,000km and I only had to replace the brakes and a few wheel bearings. I am very happy with the car and hope for many more good years.😉👍🏻
@@manfred5597 the newer ones are much harder wearing than these old ones 😂 so good on you I'm glad you enjoy the car!
And I hope you have many more years with it 😁
The GT86 2014 and after are solid the 2012 and 13 models dont have super great engines but 90% of the time they are super reliable
@@xirv8731 theres a lawsuit out atm about the engines of gt86s made after 2014
I was building a NSX in Japan before my 86, the 86 parts a super cheap in comparison.
@@Aearonjer yeah but that's a NSX that's understandable
@@ConnerRhysuk Which is my point, expensive is relative.
@ yeah I suppose ur right
when r u widebodying it? if youre local to me i can supply tools for it cuz im about to widebody mine over christmas!
@@KorraVal where abouts are you based?
( I wasn't planning on going wide, just yet as I'm currently working on other projects but I'm still interested )
You're better off building the engine and going FI with these cars instead of engine swapping. That will just be a lot of money and headaches.
@@BRZguy a lot of people have recommended this now, think I'm gonna look into it
Surely wheel bearings are just normal wear and tear though?
( no hate, I'm just curious )
Gt86s wheels bearings are a common problem, heard lots of people complain that they sound like you're in an aeroplane because they fail so often 😂😂
How many miles were you at when your engine blew? I just bought an automatic 2016 with 90k miles
I was at around 106k miles mate
I would like to buy one but I don't know if the parts are still available or not.
Mostly every part for an 86 are all still available to buy, Toyota still make all the parts for them 😁
Could you tell me the rim name and size? Looks nice :)
@@Yvzno sure they're bola b1 18x8.5 5x100
