Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
@Jake Branthe The guy who did the worst steak is called Mike.
Nick?
9:28 - perfectly balanced
Don’t screw up the steak obviously!

Same with the first and third fries.
a rare > medium rare anyday. i guess canadians dont know how to cook EH?
"I can't go home and disappoint my family" Eric fitting his stereotype, regardless I know exactly how that feels
I don’t know why this isn’t a universal thing. Guess some cultures just freely disappoint their family and hold no values.
He brought dishonor to his family with that sauce. 😢

Hey I just wanna say I'm french myself, I've been doing Bearnaise Sauce many times in the last 2 years and I can tell that hitting that consistency is crazy, it's a hit or miss for me everytime, especially as you start doing a bigger amount in one batch, what a texture from the third guy, mind blowing
What does it matter if you’re French or not
@@kantkite4016 it's a sauce commonly used in French cuisines, as that's where it originated from.
I don't believe you're French, your English is immaculate.
@@Endlezzsnipers Yeah it *is* quite rare to see French people speak a fluent no grammar error English lmao.
You can use a small amount of water to loosen the sauce, once the emulsion is formed then you can force water into it to fix its consistency

Remember people, The Steak 🥩 is the crown jewel in battle royale among the fries

Eric: 😟
Dude in the middle was the only one who cooked medium rare
Did people know that when Eric first entered the show he was all confident and innovative but he served burnt duck on that introduction show where those three judges had to choose their chefs for the game, and got scolded by Alvin. ALvin said it looked burned and Eric said 'I promise it doesn't taste burnt' and Alvin got angry at being talked back at. Since then, Eric always had this face of anxiety.
Glad they didn’t make the wrong decision here. As a customer, I could do without the sauce since the main is the steak and the side is the fries. Nailing the sauce and the side but messing up the main dish just means the entire dish is ruined and needs to be sent back.
The way the chefs turn around and walk away dramatically after tasting something 😂
He always looks sad, even when praised
Master chef anywhere has 3 judges.

Don't know why the judges said only Kaila nailed two proponents of the dish when Eric nailed two as well (the steak and fries), Mike did the worst by far.
Everything needs to be perfect that why it called masterchef cause he didnt nail the sauce that good ahile kaila did everything perfect
@@NightfallShadowFire she didn't have good fries, they were olay
Because they have to create suspense
y'all eric always seems like he's on the verge of tears LOL..
You could tell the steak was undercooked the milisecond the judge poked it and flipped it. It wobbled like jelly. So much for his expertise. His comment should have been made before he even picked the knife up.
Eric's parents:
"Why you no doctor yet? '
He won, so your stereotypical comment makes no sense.
That girl on the upper gallery; the one with the wild Beetlejuice hair acted like if she were doing the challenge, she would ace it.
She was worst in this season. How she floated under the radar for as long she did was beyond me. It was obvious she was never going to win this. She wouldn't even win a hot dog boiling contest.
That first steak was not medium rare. It was medium so I don't know what the expert was thinking. Warm red center is medium rare not warm pink center.
Chef: this is raw
*still eats it while maintaining eye contact*
What a savage
Man Canadians are so friendly bud

I have never watched any Masterchef show before but I'm obsessed with this guy's videos. He looks very Korean to me so I am surprised he is Chinese.
Bro ik it's old but hearing Eric say "disappointing my family" while he's asian is just funny asf. And I'm chinese but even if I wasn't I'd still say it.
If he got sent home for a sauce even though that was the best looking steak I ever seen, I wouldve been mad.

"Mike you going home because of your steak" .Bro was packing 22inch and they were jealous
Clear proof that Google is listening to me. This is what I had for dinner tonight.
Eric should have won if the steak was the “crowned jewel” most important part. The ladies steak was over-seared a little according to the judge
There is 4 different videos of this one competiton all about eric wtf
its like reuploads over and over
That first steak was over medium. Good lord does he think we can't see?
I think the judges nailed it. Imagine being served in a resturant. I wouldve eaten the first dish no problem, the second dish I may have considered sending back the thick sauce but if it tasted good I would probably be fine with it. If I ordered a medium rare and it came out looking blue I would have to send it back to the kitchen. Someone making mistakes that get the dish sent back should not be in the finals of masterchef.
That dude literally licked that spoon and is just dipping it in and out of that sauce like nothing 💀

Chef: Very nicely seasoned
Eric:☹
Eric's family watching the sauce: TIMMY MAKES A BETTER SAUCE THAN THAT. HE'S 9. OUR SON IS A DISAPPOINTMENT AIYAAAAAA!!!!
We all know why we clicked on this video
It’s because we want to see Eric win
Can't believe they pick these points to complain about how food was not good when they let bearnaise sit in open air until it's cold AF while they were making this program.
It's all bullshit. During that "1 hour" the contestants have to do interviews, do things over and over again for the camera and so on. The judges usually try the food off camera when it's ready. Because until they actually eat it in front of the camera probably 1 more hour passes. Then they just eat warmed up food and say what they think about the food they tasted a long time ago.
For the producers it's not a competition but only a TV show. I wonder how much fair competition there actually is.
Why does it look like he's about to cry in the thumbnail

I thought she said moving at first hahha
Looks like the cow didn't get the message
“mikes steak is still mooing”
5:21 such an Asian thing to say
As soon as they said the sauce was the most difficult thing on the dish, I knew they would give a pass to the guy who messed up the sauce. If the sauce is the most difficult part of the dish, you need to be able to handle the easier parts of the dish. Steak and fries needed to be good.
Bearnaise hardest thing, steak most important. You might get away with a non-perfect sauce but screw up the steak and it’s getting sent back to the kitchen
It's called "steak frittes" not "steak bearnaise"... the protein is the star in this dish, so you gotta get that right first off. The bearnaise is a condiment, no matter how difficult to make, it's an add on, not the star. I can choose to add the sauce, but my steak absolutely must be cooked right...most wouldn't send back an entire dish because of an improperly made sauce...but, if your meat ain't right(giggity), say goodbye.
The sauce is always going to be less important than the main elements of the dish since the sauce is optional. You might eat the steak and fries without sauce but you’re not going to eat sauce by itself.
Kayla got away with the sauce being great and steak good, Mike got finessed for his steak while the chips were perfect and Eric had good steak and chips
I would be a terrible judge... it would all be delicious to me 🤤
7:40 Minutes in. I'd really like to appreciate this judge. You appreciate he has already learned his lesson and choose to commend him for what he has perfected. Building his confidence for future endeavors. Flawless execution and timing.
He also compliments the steak in a way too. Very gracious.
I love that instead of kicking him while he’s down, he actually tries to pick him back up to rebuild his confidence. All three judges saw massive potential in each of the three contestants and it showed.
Why Eric always look like that crying filter though?? 😩😩😩
HAHAHAHAHAHHAA
