Don’t know how I missed this video, this is such a dope beat. You’re always so inspiring, Ricky. Thank you for what you do. I always feel “met” by your energy too, you keep convincing me I can do this kind of thing. Peace to you, brother.
I’m always blown away by the way you quickly get things out of new gear. I wish I had a fraction of your ability to do that. Of course, I’m older and not in the electronic music industry, so I suppose it’s to be expected… but, man… keep ip the good work Enrique!
Bottom row of the punch in fx is all midi if I remember correctly ! Sick jam, sick vids, sick vibes, been watching for years at this point thanks for what you do Ricky
One other cool thing with midi on the ko2 is live replacing samples with sound+typing sample number to create variations, midi stays the same ! Been having lots of fun with this
@@kevinaaronson the punch-in of the first 3 rows of pads are audio ( 7= gate, 8=pitchdown, 9=bitcrusher, 4=LP, 5=HP (4+5= BP), 6=FX send, 1=beat repeat, 2= tape stop thing, 3= autopan) And then the last row I think all influences MIDI data, I did not verify it since making this comment but I think it's something like : . = pitch random + sample random (same note intputs but sends to different sounds at different pitches) 0 = midi repeat + FX send (microloops midi I think) ENTER = easy break machine (randomises samples and adds a trigger every 16th, FX send on high pressure) I think that's what they do, and I think only the bottom row sends midi so these are the ones you can apply to externally sequenced stuff, but I'm not sure cause that's just my intuition playing with it again on my KO2 while writing this reply ! Hope this helps :)
Once again, Acapulco Gold @Ricky Tinez! So sick when you realize the effects effect the MIDI as well. :D Always a pleasure seeing you jam and explore! Greetings from the Lowlands!
Dude I was really on the fence about the Ep-133 but seeing how that effect effects midi made me really want one. I love midi effects we need more hardware sequencers and stuff with them. Wonder if this has any other cool tricks like that?
That sounds DOPE!!!... ( Love to see this turned into a dance floor stomper, in more of a long form video?... ) ~ Blessings... 🧡 + Really enjoyed your online 2 day streams with UMA last week...
Man I wish I hadn’t sold my po ko 2 no idea the punch in effects worked on anything other than the internal sounds. I got a m8 tracker so I’m happy but damn that’s so cool !!
Oh snap. I didn't think that the punch in effects would affect the midi as well. This has some potential. So far, I've just been using the KO stand alone. I do believe it's time to bust out some more gear. 👏😁
Great video! Can you make video about a workflow between EP-133 KoII and the SP-404 Mk2. Using the SP404 for sequencing patterns and the EP-133 for sending midi (staying in scale/key) . And using the effects of both.
Ricky has G.A.S. It’s ok especially for a content creator it makes it attracts viewers you can see by the way his fingers are moving over those samplers he is very familiar with the gear he is using. I am not criticizing Ricky he seems like a very chill dude who knows what he is doing… I have been tuning in for years even though his videos don’t even really apply to what I’m doing except I like synths and electronics music..I think having or using these different pieces of hardware is how I started watching this guy in the first place…I use software now….it might be fun to have like one drum machine or an analog synth but where does it end….
Notwithstanding Move's ability to export the project in Ableton, just for the ease of coming up with ideas and sampling, do you like coming up with ideas on the KOII (alone) or Move (alone) better?
The compact creations comeback is the best comeback to date
Let's keep it goin baby!
One of the coolest TH-cam video producers videos I've seen

Your excitement is infectious 🤩
The excitement of learning something new on a piece of gear is the best.

Yo thanks for the knowledge and years of support that means a ton
@@shad9674could you explain that a little better for me, I’m kinda slow lol

I'm so happy i stumbled upon this channel. My day is made.

Holy shit I need to see more ko2 midi madness! That whole sequence at 9:22 was so banging

Even the lamps are bumpin with this beat
Your videos always make my day. This was such a sick setup! Thank you!
Awesome groove! 🔥 Also love the casual Polybrute 12 chillin' in the background! 😂
The fact that the fx also effects the midi is one of the things that attracted me to the KO
How does he do to make the FX affect the midi, I didn't get it ?
@@gillesjung5742 it just works like that I believe
haha what timing , my 202 is currently getting the 2oh2 upgrade as I write this.
