in short yes it is, one can receive grace from viewing mass on a tv or being at mass and gazing upon the Eucharist...but the church HIGHLY encourages all baptized and practicing Catholics to revie the body and blood of our god both in body and soul. Occular communion as it is called actually goes wayyyyy back in our churches history and was a good example as to how the catholic faithful were misinformed and did not understand ...well little to nothing of what the church taught.
