3:24 my company calls layoffs, “Right Sizing” usually after a consultant comes in and tells the company there are too many workers.

I've owned an EV (2014 Leaf) for 7 years and my favorite run-a-bout. In 7 years, I had one cost event --$3.57 for a key FOB battery. I can replace my battery for less than most major ICE repairs.. -- I spent more on an "emissions fix" for a Subaru than what a battery replacement would cost.

I have a CD player in my 2023 Crosstrek PHEV and love that I can listen to my huge pile of music that I collected in the 90's!

Battery manufacturers found they can switch from copper anodes to aluminum, esp in sodium based batteries. We don't HAVE to use copper (or lithium) for all of our future battery needs.

That looking back when backing up is more analogous to the stop sign. It's what you do during a driving test but most don't when not testing or when no cop in sight.

Have you seen the new Hyundai ad for its EV lineup (it was played during the Mavs Vs. Wolves NBA playoff game)? The ad emphasizes performance and looks of the vehicles.

Justice: I appreciate you setting it straight, from the beginning, that EVs haven't stopped growing, just that the pace has slowed a bit. There is too much negativity out there now, about EVs, and the legacy auto companies, are diminishing their commitment to EVs, just for them to buy time - for their having been asleep at the wheel. Thus, this move towards ICE vehicles and Hybrids, is mere desperation.
Question: I like Phil, nothing personal but, why is he on the show? He doesn't contribute much. And, on a show that is supposed to be pro EVs, he wouldn't even own one himself. That doesn't speak well for the show. For Ray, most people understand his situation, in not owing an EV, but, he brings positivity to the subject.
Anyway, the EV is the car of the future. We need to protect our climate and I believe that most folks want to be part of that change (evidenced by your statistic about 88% would consider an EV). I'm confident that when people feel comfortable, they will purchase an EV. We need to help them get comfortable. That should be your goal.
I saw a show last week were these two experts were down thumbing EVs. That the legacy automakers have it right; that EVs are on their way out. They didn't have the facts and it was just protectionism. ICE vehicles, will go into history, like the horse, eventually. We need to save our planet, which includes human health and other destruction that CO2 causes. I believe most people understand and want to support the cause. Your show is important in make people comfortable in purchasing EVs. Please continue in that cause. Thanks.

The various sources of movement took over from the horse, with ICE winning out, until now, when various forms are again contending for dominance, and there are more horses in the US than before technological change, so...not a good example.

If Ray doesn’t like a rear camera because it’s just unnecessary, then why do we have HUDs? Can’t we just look down at the good ole fashioned dashboard?

As EV ranges increase from 300 miles to 600 to 1200, the importance of the number of charging stations will erode to insignificance.

So just wait five years? Cars are too expensive now and interest rates are insane, so yeah, five years from now, people are possibly likelier to take a risk on an EV.

That's because companies have found they can sell products at a higher price and people still buy them. Oil production is at all time highs (13.1-13.3 Mbpd for the past 10 months), and inflation has dropped by 2/3rds its high, yet prices remain high.
