Maybe someone will discover him! Life is hard on so many people. I sat in my car nearby, moved by the music, and i just happened to notice....he stopped playing (no one was nearby) to say something in the womans ear, and the music kept playing, violin and all. I finally figured out this scam. I see this scam everywhere now! And innocent people tossing $5, $10, $20's at them all day. And also, they ALL pretend with the same 3 songs! For those people who thinks that the real musician is trying to be a hero, he is not. It’s personal. Faking violin playing is like plagiarism for a writer. It’s the same thing as taking the joke of other comedians and making it your own. Once you ask for money in exchange of a particular skill and people pay for that set of skill they think you have, and you don’t and results on faking it. It’s a scam. It’s the same thing as those saying they are homeless and people gave and you’re not homeless. It’s a scam. This is as bad as lip syncing. Milli and Vanilli got called out for this. I sometimes play violin in public and do enjoy it if people give some dollars - I also enjoy it when say thats beautiful or "thank you. This videographer totally did a cool thing when talking to the guy , a violinist and any instrumentalist practices a lot to get a good sound and to make it sound musical - I now feel better if people don't understand busking because at least Ive tried assiduously to learn the violin
the guy that plays in Smyrna Ga at kroger and sometimes publix, has the same or similar sign that says the same thing, this scamming con game shit is a slap in the face to people with real severe struggles and needs, as well as its a slap in the face to folks with real skills and talents who work their asses off to prove , promote , and use said skills and talent.
A few years ago in Meridian Idaho, in the local Walmart parking lot, there were two young overweight male twins that would sit down in the grass by the busiest exit and wouldn't even hold their signs up. They would prop them on the stop sign pole and sit down all day. They did this for at least two summers. One time I saw them taking turns "playing" a violin like this and I just laughed. I once saw one of them pull out of a nice neighborhood on a motorcycle 😂 Haven't seen them for years now
I confronted a similar pair yesterday at one of our local supermarket's entrance/exits in Brunswick, Maine. I asked the male violinist, about in his 50s, to play me a piece without the accompaniment [wherein the "violin" parts are found]. He pretended not to understand English and fumbled with the violin's cord at the amp end. Same violin as seen here, btw. Then, a 50ish overweight, swarthy woman appeared. She didn't take kindly to me exposing their scam. She spoke to me in Romanian or whatever Gypsy tongue they use, flipped me the bird and gave me a mock "moon". I circled around and came up behind them with my phone camera trained on them. The woman came at me and made a hissing sound as she made a mock swipe at me, slashing the air. I told them that's what the cops need to see. I also observed her scoping out the insides of parked cars there. These folks Always work in groups. They were gone when I returned an hour or so later. A couple or so years ago, I fell for their scam, right at the same spot. It was a different guy who "played" beautifully. He seemed to have the right fingerings on the strings [as if I knew, I play piano and harmonicas, jazz/blues], and he had the standard bowing, or so I thought, and a nice smile. He also had a big sign with words on it like "honest", and "god" and "thank you". He had a couple of young teen girls with him, swarthy with dark, unsmiling eyes, the dead eyes look, suspicious, so common with this clan. Still, I tipped the guy five dollars, I think, and left. So, after yesterday's event, I went home to quickly learn a few choice phrases in Romanian. As mentioned earlier, they were gone. I so wanted to say to the woman, "Isti un porc!!!". Next time, if there is another scam "violinist" here, I'm going to open with Portugues. Knowing that won't be understood by them, I will then speak in English with a fake Brasilian accent. And I will smilingly ask them to play me a tune, unaccompanied. Or, maybe I'll take a harmonica and play some simple tune like Three Blind Mice and ask them to repeat it, knowing full well they can't. And then I will make sure they know what scum they are. They put the "tune" in opportunists. This is where a bunch of vile stink bomb vials could come in handy. Or, if someone wanted to place a bill in their coffer, first tape the bill to a magician's reel. It is a spring-loaded prop with a monofilament string. As one walks away, smiling, the donor releases the brake on the quarter-sized, handheld prop. ZIP!!! The bill magically returns to the donor's hand in an instant. It's a very inexpensive prop, perfect for conning back these cons.

Go to a local pub and support real musicians especially now in the pandemic ! Buy a ticket for a real orchestra or opera, unlike mainstream opinion, classical music is for EVERYONE to love and enjoy and who knows, you might find a whole bunch of new styles to love, you didn't even imagine before and remember classical music is kinda like wine, there is no good and bad and not all of it is amazing and not all of it is "boring", it's just taste and you can find your own taste and then stick with it, it's a whole world out there, a Universe you didn't even know existed and people who dedicate their entire lives to these instruments and beautiful music, like the person who arranged this song ! Stop giving money to organized crime!

I am not a musician but I do appreciate good music and have so much respect for all of you that devote so much work and effort to your art. I personally feel that those scammers should be forced to give up the tools they are scamming you with and do send jail time. Because to me they are stealing. They ate getting money from people under false pretenses. They are intentionally misleading people into giving them money. Also, it would be great if someone were to stand across from them with a sign saying "beware, this guy/girl is a scammer". If they have a right to Express in their way then we have the same right to Express in ours by warning people. If I weren't an old man with a bad heart and 3 back surgeries I'd be out there holding my sign warning victims. So, good for you for facing that scum bag.
Saw one a pair at Castro Valley. Same songs and everything. Cops came talked to them left. And then immediately went back to scamming. Sigh why even work a real job when i can do this?
because americans would only do it if they actually had a talent to showcase for those donations. everyone who crosses the border now has no respect for this country.
Was a mistake to say "sure" and just turn your phone off. You are allowed to videotape in public in all fifty states. There's no expectation of privacy.
What do you think you missed out on, exactly? I skip work and point the camera at him long enough until he realizes the error of his ways? No, what happens is they stand there doing nothing and saying nothing while I look like a fool ranting to myself. I can tell you that because that's exactly what happened. Everything you need is in the video.
@@mmphpffmph9141 Well, it seems to the viewer you didn't know you could continue recording them, and you complying to the fake violin player's demands makes you feel weak. I think the way you wrote your responses show a lack of understanding in how your viewers may feel when they are watching this.
Same old Same old here in Standish Maine too at the Hannaford Store !! First time father and son, and second time just an adult male playing the same tunes as the ones on TH-cam !! Too Funny 😂
I seen these types once at a Ralph's parking lot. Similar sign. But I didn't say anything to the guy. Security from The Hub shopping center chased him away. They don't allow that on their property. San Diego CA Hillcrest. Vermont n University
You know what is crazy? Last week my husband and I was out and about and we was pulling out between Aldi and farm and home and when we got to the light, I started hearing a violin, look over and this young guy was standing alone, outside Aldi (off the property) and he was playing away and I almost turned around to give him money, because all these other bums just stand there w a sign and we agreed that he'd be someone we'd not feel bad about helping, we didn't turn around because it was extremely hot and my asthma was getting me, but ever since then, I've been seeing these vids, lolol!
I looked, electric violins like that are around $110-120 on amazon. The whole setup is probably under $400. I don't know how much these people make, but it must be worth it.
it's legal to video tape them since they were in a public space and literally expecting a public audience. they were literally trying to grab peoples' attention.

Yes! They seem to only have three or so songs they "play" over and over.
Basically stolen Valor.
You can just tell who is and isnt a performer in arts in this comment section.
1. You CAN make a video in public ! Don't allow yourself to be intimidated by these mobsters!
2. This is disgusting and insulting and beyond fraudulent ! Some brilliant arranges spent a lot of time arranging that song for the violin ! How dare you !
3. This is organized mafia ! Please stop funding their cars and villas with your hard earned money !
Just seen one in hinesville, GA. A mile away from the base. Claimed she was from Romania
yeah, they're all gypsies
How do they pause the song ?
If you watch enough of these, they all use the same track.
He doesn’t need the full bow, he’s just that good
Can confirm its bs. Not playing the double stops or doing vibrato
Public place you can take all you want
I wish your audio would have been better but good for you showing him up. So, good for you for facing that scum bag.
he say i have 3 kids for rent then how can he buy a violin
I was like wtf I saw this at my target
Saw one a pair at Castro Valley. Same songs and everything. Cops came talked to them left. And then immediately went back to scamming. Sigh why even work a real job when i can do this?
If enough people did this that there are 20 fake busters in the same parking lot, I am sure people will find something is up.
I would have lifted his bow off the violin
I am forever grateful that they don't know a certain fiddle song.
Lol the dude who invented the scam violin is the one making bank
They are always at Target
Safeway in my Town.
@@bigly2422 i worked for Jewel-Osco (a grocery store in Illinois owned by Safeway) and we had a lot of violin scammers in our parking lot
Dudes in public homie, you can film him all you want.
I've seen like a dozen of these videos and every single one of these predators have been foreigners.
It's the American way
because americans would only do it if they actually had a talent to showcase for those donations. everyone who crosses the border now has no respect for this country.
Playing the same tune
I've seen like a dozen of these videos and every single one of these predators have been Roma gypsies. Corrected and you're welcome.
It’s not like actual musicians are going to make a career out of it, or that these type of people are any hindrance to them.
It’s not a scam, he got a chat gpt violin!
that guy is the same one in my video that i recorded him on!! lol
you guys can setup next to him so we can see a real violinist play
Same old Same old here in Standish Maine too at the Hannaford Store !! First time father and son, and second time just an adult male playing the same tunes as the ones on TH-cam !! Too Funny 😂
The Windham Hannaford has some of these scammers outside once in a while too!
I seen these types once at a Ralph's parking lot. Similar sign. But I didn't say anything to the guy. Security from The Hub shopping center chased him away. They don't allow that on their property. San Diego CA Hillcrest. Vermont n University
Why does that sound so familiar I heard this when I was at my local target
@@kishascape if I was to do it I wouldn’t even use a amp
if it’s a violin there shouldn’t be any other instruments in it
Notice it’s almost always at a target
Ever notice that the same song plays?
Lol they all “play” the same songs
If that's real then I'm his Irish Uncle
You know what is crazy? Last week my husband and I was out and about and we was pulling out between Aldi and farm and home and when we got to the light, I started hearing a violin, look over and this young guy was standing alone, outside Aldi (off the property) and he was playing away and I almost turned around to give him money, because all these other bums just stand there w a sign and we agreed that he'd be someone we'd not feel bad about helping, we didn't turn around because it was extremely hot and my asthma was getting me, but ever since then, I've been seeing these vids, lolol!
Yes all to frequent. They are using accordions too.
Look at the Violin! It's Expensive. I'm in Tucson, Arizona 💜 and the same 🎻, and the same song only difference is he had his daughter PLAYING SMDH BS
I looked, electric violins like that are around $110-120 on amazon. The whole setup is probably under $400. I don't know how much these people make, but it must be worth it.
I'm not supportive of any kind of scam, just meant it must be worth the upfront cost if people keep doing the scam.
@@wickedmuffin76 Believe They are making Good $$$
So if they're so talented, why aren't they performing professionally or in central square or a really busy area
it's legal to video tape them since they were in a public space and literally expecting a public audience. they were literally trying to grab peoples' attention.
Whole country has to deal with these fakers. DO NOT DONATE.
Acting is a skill. You pay actors all the time. He is not doing anything wrong. Not the best actor but he is not forcing anyone to pay him for his act.
@@MrPolakWusa
No not the same at all, when ppl spend their entire lives learning and crafting these instruments then some thief impersonates their talents
@@MrPolakWusa
He’s a panhandler stealing ppls money
WRONG when someone goes to a movie theater or watch Netflix they know the show or movie will be acting.
@@MrPolakWusa let me guess.... You are a homeless meth addict
They all play the same shit too
Guy playing the same music is at my Walmart in central PA for the last 2 weeks.
