- No introduction needed, Kofuzi is a now-legend in the shoe reviewer space and our favorite TH-camr out there. Outside of shoe reviews, he's also one of our favorite people to hang out with because he's 100% always down for a good time. Which is what we do on this episode of The Drop.

thanks for having me on the podcast! it's always a great time!
Great interview. Mike's comments about hiding parts of you as an immigrant/minority or considered "ethnic" is so relatable.
Kofuzi has brought me here. Great interview!🙌🏼
@ 26:10, I appreciate that Thomas asked this question, and I appreciate Mike's answer.
You guys need some Canadian affiliates/links!!!! Love what you do and would love to see some representation north of the border!
I would love to hear more of Mike's Asian American experiences!
Awsome interview! Great to hear things behind the curtain. Authentic people talking to each other! Thanks!
Great conversation - I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one that have struggled to run slow on easy run days. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
This was a fun episode to listen to! Meg, thanks for asking the questions that I’ve wanted to ask Ko!😂 I listen to a lot of audiobooks too and my husband is a reader. Thank goodness I’m not alone! The moment I open a book 📕 😴!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing content having 3 ability levels on the same drop and talking about so many pertinent topics that are not always talked about. That pacing topic is so important. Thank you, all 3 of you.❤❤❤
I loved this! Am gonna give your podcast a listen.
It’s always fun to watch you guys 😊
Kofuzi! Love his channel as well

Great interview, watch Believe, Kofuzi and Run Testers and some others and thoroughly enjoy. Saucony interesting company (have 3 Speed 3's) i see their parent company's share price is down 75%, moving to 2 year cycles, maybe all not well with the brand.
Great interview guys! Keep this type of content coming.
Thanks! Will do!
You guys should frame this episode!!!! Woooooow!!!! Top notch !!!! Cheers from Brazil! 🤙
Cool interview! Huge fan of Ko and BITR
Great interview. Just one correction, @kofuzi: In the 70’s most orchestras in major cities unionized and with additional support from the NEA and various other organizations evolved into full time jobs, most of which now pay well, have job security (tenure), health insurance and pensions. What you describe applies to free-lance musicians, but an orchestra like the NY Philharmonic is a very secure full-time job except for the subs and “extras”.
Really good interview. I wasn't aware that Thomas was from the Bay Area. I grew up in South City and I agree 100% about the availability of asian food. Currently in Asheville, NC and the asian food scene is pretty sparse.
The legend!
I was under the impression we were glamping in Colorado? Anyways, Kofuzi did a great job for a non-camper and even had his first cold plunge. Good job Ko!
💯% the same on seeing Kofuzi 9+ min easy runs.
This is the one!
Would love to see Kofuzi in London 🙂
Kofuzi is🔥🔥🔥🔥
Kofuzi!!!🎉
So good and great chemistry!
Thank you!
Berlin?!? I want in, lol
Let's GOOOOO!!
Oh man Thomas, the cough… pre NYC. Come to CIM to leverage that fitness you established.
Wow!!!!!
Love the podcast. I’m a masters or old master runner, so every time you guys talk about pace, it’s definitely relative. And sub 3 depends on your age group 😂
Same! My 4:17 PR last April is 2:44 and change age-graded!
Come to hhhhhhouuuuston!!
The Yo-Yo Ma of shoe reviews
Transrockies would be an awesome adventure!
Heart rate training works for easy days!
Based on his name, I always thought Kafuzi is of Japanese heritage. Might be the hairstyle as well 😅
Omg.. Kids made fun of me when my mom packed rice balls because she didn’t know what PBJ was. Seaweed was disgusting back then. Look at everyone now… I too wanted to be American like everyone else and not Asian.
The collective experience of the Asian diaspora is definitely a whiplash moment, going from feeling ashamed of our culture and not knowing why when we were kids, to suddenly finding it to be trendy and fetishized in some cases. Ultimately I think if one more first generation kid doesn’t have to experience what I or others did growing up, or feel proud of their heritage, then that’s worth the parts of my culture that might get commodified or “appropriated”.

This should be goood!!!!
