Even though I have complex/mixed feelings towards Ace, I honestly adore the Heartslabyul dorm to pieces! It is my favorite! It really makes me happy seeing videos about them! I missed what the error was about, but I am glad to see it fixed and that the video is back up! I had it in my watch history to watch as soon as I got the chance, but then saw it disappeared from there and reappeared further up in my subscriptions! So, and please correct me if I'm wrong, my understanding of honorifics is that using them is to show respect but dropping them means either a great closeness or disrespect or distance due to not knowing how close your relationship is to the person you're addressing. But Trey uses none with anyone? Not going to lie but that kind of fits with a head canon I have about Riddle's mother. That not only did she mess up Riddle, she messed up Trey as well. (Watching someone yell at your parents while your friend's crying about it, has to have some traumatic effects on a kid.) Trey want's to distance himself from others because he doesn't want to lose them like how he lost Riddle when they were kids. Hence why he doesn't use honorifics, to keep his distance not out of disrespect or anything like that. Thanks for these vids, it's fun to hear the differences between EN and JP.

It took a little combing through, but one instance of Trey saying Najma-chan I have seen so far from Jamil's hometown event would be in Book 3 Part/Chapter 7. Maybe he uses the "chan" with his siblings so he used it with her? Just a thought. I love the little theory the original commenter made about this, though. It is kind of like a reverse Cater. I never paid attention to Trey not using honorifics, and it is certainly interesting!
not to be dismissive of ur headcanon or anything but i think trey not using honorifics if anything just makes him feel more normal/casual? it'd feel more distant if he used -san with everyone like how azul does (with the exception of the twins)

Not going to lie but that kind of fits with a head canon I have about Riddle's mother. That not only did she mess up Riddle, she messed up Trey as well.
