As I know onam is celebrated 10 days not 4 days. Pls check and don't misguide.

Yes, the onam festivities such as pookalam (flower arrangements) start 10 days before, and this is called Atham. But the main days of Onam go on for 4 days, of which the 2nd day is Thiruvonam, the most celebrated day. Hope this helps! :)
