I'm just a random dude with health issues that prevent me from flying any type of aircraft in real life and DCS gave me the chance to live my dreams.
Sometimes I just spawn on the ramp in a rainy dawn. I listen to the rain falling on the canopy and start my aircraft. It's a pleasure listening to her as she comes to life. The sounds make me feel like I'm really there. And then I just fly until the sun rises :).
What you guys at E.D. do is a work of art. The 2.5 engine is a masterpiece. The amount of work you guys put even in these trailers show that this is not just a job for you. It's a passion.
I said this back in the 2.5 release trailer and I'll say it again. Thank YOU for making our dreams come true.

Thank you for your words! I have a very similar way of enjoying the sim, I don´t care about the military aspect of it, I´m happy starting up my helos and planes and just flying them.
Same here, guns are fun and all, but I just enjoy the flying, startups, flying and landings and all the learning of these awesome machines, and getting a huge kick of those old WWII planes as I am a WWII avgeek xD

There's no greater feeling than powering up the old Merlin on a grey and damp Tangmere dawn and taking my RAAF skinned Mustang to Caen hoping to find Price, Davis and MacGregor ;-)

Yesterday, I was hitting the tanker on NVGs in the pitch black of night over the Persian Gulf after a mission that took losing half my squadron to complete. I was shaking from the adrenaline and had to dry off my joystick before nursing the damaged bird right and calling "ready pre-contact". What a fckn game!

As the song says. "I don't want to fall in love, with you" but I fell in love with the F-16C ever since I saw them flying overhead frequently in and out of Spangdahlem Air Force Base in Germany as a kid living over-seas. Seeing that at the end was just icing on an incredible cake that was amazingly moving. I can't wait!

I'm older, disabled, and stopped using flight sims before the 90's for their lack of evolutionary progress. But over the last two weeks of nothing but DCS training / mission videos, I can honestly say that although I'm starting out broke, I'm already saving for a modern (gaming) computer that will even allow me to use your products. I need to do this. I don't intend on making a full cockpit, but over time, some Thrustmaster products will be on the list for sure. So keep your eyes on the horizon, and I'll see you in the skies in the next year or so.

A vr headset,hotas and decent pc is all I use no fancy cockpit or multi screen setup. Dcs in Vr is epic. Dropping a bomb from above from above aa and watching it on tgp pod smash a bridge was just amazing. I have bought lots of planes [which I can’t fly] but I always come back to the a10.... I just love it.
A new set of Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar II should work well with DCS F-16C Fighting Falcon 😎
Make sure you build your own gaming rig, don't waste your money and time on pre-built brand PC's. Enjoy the journey, Hopper!
3:00 through 3:18 . . . most breathtaking 18 seconds shiver-inducing *fake* footage EVER... I've seen this video several times and every time I get the same feeling. This video alone has helped me get 3 friends to download and try DCS. Superb audio track, everything.... KUDOS! o7
Once I started investing in DCS, I sat my friends down and subjected them to EVERY Eagle-Dynamics promo starting with this and ending on the new F-14's. So then, after watching F-14's _Defend the Fleet_ promo, I SPECIFICALLY brought therm right back to that exact scene @3:00 because they would now be able to interpret & make since of the powerfully moving imagery better. Had to make sure the got _Feelz_

3 Things:
1.) I've been into Eagle Dynamics ever since playing the Flanker Demo on my Windows 95 Game Sample CD, way back in the days of solid color polygons. I've picked up almost every version of the game's development right through LOMAC and in to DCS. I've played just about every flight simulator out there (the whole Mircosoft FS series starting with version 1.0 in the DOS era, X-plane since version 4.0, Flight Gear and many more.) DCS stands atop a massive stack of flight simulation gaming, reigning supreme in both flight model, sound and detail.
2.) Eagle Dynamics Software (mostly DCS) has been and is the single largest investment I've made software wise, surpassing even the cost of my VR hardware, and I regret nothing.
3.) The F-16, has been, and still is my single most favorite aircraft: The whine alone from the engine at idle sends shivers down my spine. I really wanted the Harrier, F-18, F-14 and Mirrage. However, nothing compares (in my humble opinion) to the F-16 in both sight and sound. I will say this, where I have never before believed in purchase of software sight unseen, in regards to the F-16: Shut up and Take my money.

danczehajek the super hornet is still in active service so I’m assuming a lot of the upgrade details from C model to E/F models are very secret, all C models have been pulled from active combat roles since May 2018

I wish i had a pc that can handle this much detail, but the trailer is just so well-made and so touching, especially for a history and pretty much vehicle guy, and also, the whole thing is just so thrilling. the f-16 teaser at the end really got me excited for the next year. i hope you will continue on doing what you're doing, because nothing can come even close to your exceptional simulator. thank you for everything, and thank you, ED, for putting so much time, passion and effort into what is the most realistic vehicular combat sim out there. have a great time, and happy holidays.

Damnn DCS has improved so much in the past 5 years
I've been engaged with Eagle Dynamics ever since the Lock-On days. Loved every minute of it and am truly grateful for the continued improvements, support, and dedication of the Eagle Dynamics team they have put towards this genre. I will continue to be involved until the day my life levels up to the next stage. This video and song combination has got to be one of the top 3 I've ever seen made using this simulator. Hearts and Minds, Keep up the excellent work!!

The eurofighter would be great, but i guess there is still too much classified data about it, so it seems nearly impossible to make an accurate module
Yeah, this is more of a game for cold war planes. Nothing too modern here, the specs we need to model it are classified, and will be for a nice long time.

I've been playing fsx ever since I was 10, I've loved it. I'm now 21 and this video just came into my recommended and WOW! I've never even heard of dcs until yesterday, now it's my goal to save up and buy a pc that will run it at high graphics! You've sold another customer
i also came from fsx and xp11 to dcs and i can only recommend it. The graphics are stunning, the cockpits are super detailled and you´ll have to spend months until you can fully master some planes and their weapon systems. Also the flight models are as realistic as it can get. The only downside is that the planes and maps are quite expensive to purchase, but in my opinion its absolutely worth it.

DCS is not a game of skill, but is one of knowledge - the more you know about ground targets or weaknesses in enemy aircraft, the more you'll succeed.

Every time I show DCS to a friend, they're always impressed with the quality of graphics and simulation. This kind of video just makes me want to get in a jet and do awesome things! Awesome vid, awesome 2018, looking forward to next year!
This video is epic. I suspect I am not alone in the sheer pleasure of watching it. I have had DCS for many years but found it challenging to get into compared to some other sims. However, the increased numbers of amazing high fidelity aircraft is truly game changing. The latest add ons are simply some of the best I have seen in simming. Supported by TH-cam tutorials, I have now started to fly more and more in DCS and the sense of achievement in successfully developing new skills, easy multi player and the sense of flying something special is great. I'm embarrassed that after 30 years of simming experience I'm only just focusing on DCS. Although it had a slow start, the recent developments in DCS, both aircraft and scenery, have made this sim an outstanding flight simulator. Congratulations on an excellent 2018 and best wishes for 2019 and beyond.

just been watching all the trailers, and this one is 2018 not 2019 as at the end it says about seeing us in 2019 which would mean this video was for 2018, just need to find the actual 2019 , love the music and tunes that accompany as well (head off to buy those tracks so thanks) keep up the great work ED and DCS community,, right off to my Apache :)

They should because it would allow them to remove all purpose for literally every other game. They'd have every single era of aircraft and could have almost everything.
They have the Christian Eagle in the store...
