I love that all of these are not just random clips to be used for dramatic effects, but actually based on real life events
especially 3:18
like 1:48 2:16.
yeah, it makes it feel like we're watching the video version of pictures
I’m a Desert Storm vet, you really nailed it with this video! Great job and thanks for making it!!
[salute] I was there as well. This was a good capture.
thank you for your service kind sir 🗿
@@DaddyKoolPopThanks for your service bro
thank you for your service
Thank you for your service
I remember watching these speeches/events unfold as they happened on TV - you perfectly captured the sentiment and era - excellent work as always and you deserve way more subscribers, keep up the great work man!
Same!
ditto
OMG IT’S PILOTPHOTOG, I’m a fan :D
@@mybrosyt thank you, good to see you here
@@PilotPhotog i love your documentaries but expecially the photo shoots on Instagram
That shot of the F-15E/C and F-16A flying together with fire in the background is spot on to the famous original photo. great job👍

USN vet here... this is by far one of my favorite DCS cinematics now and I'm going to share this amongst my circle! The mid-80's soundtrack won me over and was the icing on the cake!!! 💙💙
Thank you for your service, I wanna be a navy pilot when I grow up.
Absolutely love the attention to detail for the livery selection representing actual squadrons that took part and even real ODS loadouts. Wonderful job to everyone involved.
outstanding! loved that iconic shot of the 3 eagles and 2 vipers
A beautiful recreation of the most Iconic photo of the entire war
This song fits america so well especially in the line "most for freedom and for pleasure"
The iconic Oil field scene recreation is just awesome.
1:56 i can’t believe we still don’t have a “Bagdad by night” screen saver…
Great job with this! 87-0257 was my aircraft from Torrejon AB, Spain and was destroyed by a SAM. The pilot was taken POW and survived. This brings back so many memories.
I looked it up. He took an SA-3 just south of Baghdad. Major Jeffrey Scott Tice piloting. Flew 150 miles after the hit, but didn't make it all the way out of Iraqi airspace. You were ground crew for the plane? I know you guys own the bird and the pilot only borrows it :P Y'all get each other drunk when he came home?
Amazing man, i live in Spaim and is an honor have pilots we fight in gulf war in our bases. In what plane you flight ?
Seeing multiple classic photographs recreated in extensive detail; as a tribute to those who fought valiantly to keep us free and safe was amazing to watch.
A salute to all the brave men and women who sacrifice _everything_ in the name of defending freedom and honor: Before, Now, and Forever More.
I had insane chills watching the first 1:00 of this video with headphones. I cant even imagine how that would look like in a movie theater.
My father was deployed to this war. There was any social media during that time and he was stationed in some remote area, so I couldn't directly talk to him. This video pretty much captured how I tracked the war on TV. I was in awe of the aircraft and tech on display. Who remembers those trading cards? lol
there was TRADING CARDS?????
Wow thanks for your fathers service. My father too was in desert storm but I wasn't around yet to see anything about the war.
Let's bow our heads, give a moment of silence and place our right hand over our heart for all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to keep our freedoms alive. And give thanks to all of our surviving veterans. May it be a Happy Memorial Day. Enjoy.
I can remember the exact moment when Desert Shield, Desert Storm started. I was in middle school my dad was about to retire from the Airforce and he had to stay in.
Ok, I've watched many cinematics over the years. Some are fantasy, and many are a mix of rapid cuts that make no sense. But yours is grounded on reality, it is easy to understand. I saw on TV all those images of bombs hitting bunkers and bridges, F-117s flying under NVGs... wow...congratulations to you and your team for a job well done.
At 2:10 is when the A-6 comes on and another group, probably my favorite aircraft used in the operation
I absolutely love that reference to my favorite all time picture of Desert Storm, with the two F-16s, Two Mudhens, and the F-15C flying over the burning oil fields. Pure art. Desert Storm is my favorite military conflict of all time, and you captured its essence beautifully
The attention to detail in this was awesome. Using markings for units that were there and adding radio traffic from the conflict. Serious props for that.
My uncle served in the US Army from 1975 to 1995. This was the last war he did before his retirement and iam glad hes still with us to this day, the best uncle i ever had
3:18 holy crap that looks amazing
That’s based on a real photo. I have it saved somewhere in my gallery.
@@darius_alex2043 Epic, am looking for this photo
@@darius_alex2043 It's probably one of the most famous pictures from Desert Storm.
lol guess what my pfp is
(4th fighter wing)
Desert Storm vet....this vid brought back memories. I'd say you nailed it on imagery, music, and choreography! Thanks for making this!
This cinematic is especially great because I read the book "hogs in the sand" some days ago. It really fits it perfectly
You captured the most successful air war in history artfully in a sim not known for being the prettiest bell at the ball.
I love the A-10. It's amazing to see this video this is an A-10/10
The '91 Gulf War was really the end of an era in a way. It was the first major conflict post-Cold War, but the last to feature some very well-known aircraft and vehicles of the US Cold War military in combat. The A-7 Corsair II and F-4 Phantom flew their final combat sorties in '91, and it was the 2nd to last time the A-6 Intruder was used as well (the last time being over Bonsia in 1994). The Gulf War was also the last time the Huey was used actively in combat by the US Army (though it as not officially removed from inventory until as late as 2015 due to being used for training and medevac). The M60 tanks were last used in combat in the Gulf by the USMC; they switched to the M1A1 soon after, but their M60s were first into Kuwait City.
The music matches so well with these clips!♥
I remember myself growing up watching Discovery Channel and History Channel as a little child and being mesmerized by the sheer volume, scale and vibes of Desert Storm even though I couldn't understand it, I felt it
I couldn't bring myself to watch anything for my age after seeing the footage and the stories behind them
The music goes well with the context and the aircrafts used here
Even did the Highway of Death, wow. Sounds & film effects really sell it.
3:18 I'm surprised and soooo glad that you got even the Tail Numbers of those Jets right. Amazing attention to Detail.
Many of the shots reminds me of actual military/news footage showing the aircrafts/Operation Desert Storm(Buring oil fields, F-15s over Iraqi desert...)
man not only is this an AD for dcs but also the us military goddam this is the best cinematic ive ever EVER seen
The reason America doesn't have free healthcare:
The US actually spends more on healthcare per capita than any other nation. It’s just one huge tangled mess of aid programs and insurance crap that make it extremely inefficient. If you ironed all that out, you could actually decrease the medical budget by a substantial amount while still delivering the best healthcare in the world.
@@jlight7346 why does it cost like $20,000 just to give birth?
@@rainerbowden2714 You’re missing the point. If you took away all the government spending (hypothetically, assuming the rest of the healthcare industry wouldn’t change), that cost would be WAY higher. Part of the reason why costs get so high is because the government is so willing to just throw money at the problem without really thinking about it. It’s like the government bailing out students with massive student loans. The schools are just gonna keep jacking prices up because they know they’re gonna get paid whether or not the student is the one paying them.
@@jlight7346 When your opponent even have an better health care than you :D
It’s also because unlike other countries, we know only idiots can believe something like healthcare could be free and work. Someone has to pay for it
i got goosebumps when the famouns F-15 formation pic of desert storm was recreated. Gorgeous work.
dont forget the f-16a’s
My father served as a weather logistics officer in Diego Garcia supporting the B-52s, he was always disappointed when no one knew about the desert storm operation. Thank you for giving it the recognition it deserves :)
Same, I always talk about my dad's crusades during 80s and 90s America to my zoomer coworkers and they have no idea what im talking about. Disappointing really
This is fire!
Perfect music for this. I remember waiting to see Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf give his daily briefings replaying the pin-point accuracy of laser guided munitions striking targets, etc. I was waiting for my unit to get the final call to deploy but we never did. Thanks for this. Excellent work.
Now all i want is a DCS Cinematic with Into The Fire by Thirteen Senses, a homage to the beautiful French movie "Sky Fighters" (Les Chevaliers Du Ciel). Mirage 2000 time
I think I made it a long time ago.
@@Phenom2266 oh fuck sorry😅😅
I want to congratulate the creator of this work, it's a good representation of the Gulf War and a pleasure to see if you are a aviation enthusiast
For some reason, i can't stop watching this Masterpiece
WELL DONE!!! you nailed so many cool aspects of the conflict and the equipment used along with proper livery for the the time… I got shivers down me spine when the strike eagles went to work
These are so captivating. Never stop making cinematics!
You recreated my desktop wallpaper perfectly at 3:18. Well done, sir.
I'm a simple man: I hear tears for fears, I like.
This is why you're the best DCS content creator out there. The amount of attention to detail and recreation of real life events and photos are simply stunning
Raising the bar for DCS Cinematics. Thumbs up and subscribed.
Wow, that was amazing. Loved the historically accurate liveries (even my VF-1 CAG skin got some use!) and loadouts. Thats some attention to detail!
…and my Intruder Skin as well, nice!
The flak scenes were perfect! Absolutely awesome.
The transition from the 3 Eagle 2 Viper flight to the 2 F4s was GOLD
Fantastic work on this man❤
Absolutely loved this cinematic! Everything was recreated really well!
Fantastic Edit!! Would have loved to see the recreation of that famous photo with the two Mirage F1's, the F/A-18 and the F16 that just happens to be my desktop background lol
Each second of it is pure total quality , thanks!! 💯Also so nice to have the mod list right there 🤘
Amazing video love the whole thing
As soon as I saw the a10 my smile got bigger and wider
That f117 is so chill
I noticed how you perfectly recreated real pictures and videos from the war, honestly amazing great work and very impressive skills especially with the editing.
That was an amazing cinematic! I bet that was a ton of work. I hope you will consider making more in the future. I liked, subscribed and shared.
Nailed it for the feels from the 1991 Gulf War.
I always say that the Gulf War of 1991 was arguably one of the most fascinating war in gistory, because of how technology and air power can end a war in months. Also the era and the circumstances of when and how it happened makes it interesting. Just think about it, beggining ot the 90's, soon dissolution of the USSR, end of the iron curtain, end of the cold war, almost internet era, democratic wind of change in eastern Europe. It might be beacuse I'm from Hungary and from our prespective it was a very tumultuous era, but I just think it was a very important part of modern history. Best cinematic I've seen so far regarding Operation Desert Storm, and I'm sure I'll come back to this video many times in the future.
One of the best cinematics i have ever seen! Well done
Really really well done. Another DCS cinematic classic
That was fandamntastic 👍
If only DCS had SEPECAT Jaguars and Buccaneers then it would be epic.
Very epic. One of the best cinematic out there! Incredible work.
2:13 My profile picture right here.
un despelote, tremenda calidad como las que nos tiene acostumbrados, buenisimo el video, una joya!!!
Absolutely awesome video. This brought back so many memories, the music, the sights and radio chatter. Just superb.

Every known battle from desert storm you perfectly recreated it in this simulator, well done!
Maybe the best DCS cinematic I have ever seen. Very well done.
This is the one video i wish i lived in
Great pfp
Man you never miss! Every single piece you make never ceases to amaze me!
Keep up the good work, you're incredible!
2:34 As much as it causes death and destruction, there's nothing quite as satisfying as landing a direct hit on an enemy during war.
The amount of effort you put into this video really shows! Great work!
absolutely amazing!!
damn a view from F-117 Nighthawk over night Baghdad was beautiful heh? im so jealous to these pilots
Phenomenal dude. Super impressed! Need more of this style content!
