Always wanted a scat but I settled with a 2010 camaro ss. I beat a manual scat pack just because he couldn’t catch traction then I raced my friends red scat with the auto and I lost badly after that I wanted a scat even more. But now after 3 years I finally got my 2018 Scat pack shaker with the 8speed ☺️
I'm satisfied with the 2015 2SS w.the LS3 motor I only have 25k miles on it never driven in winter that Camaro driver needs to improve his shifting abilities

It's a no contest as a daily driver or on a long road trip. Challenger is way more comfortable no matter how you modify either car. A 30 minute ride in the back seat of the Camaro will leave you with leg cramps and a sore back!

The fastest cars in drag have always used modified automatics, when my 6L80 goes out i most likely switch to the 3 speed too or a 4L80.
2 awesome rides, I had a V6 Charger the last 5 years and really enjoyed it for what it was, when I had the chance to upgrade my Dream was always a Scat Pack Challenger but when I went to the GM dealership and sat in the 2019 Camaro 2SS and heard the NPP exhaust and the 376 engine I just had to have it and I’m so happy I bought it, still love the 392s man great car that’s looks as badass as it sounds!
@@moparcharger8642 considering that it’s a 5.7 Hemi that has 375 HP, it’s fast for a base V8 doing 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. Although keep in mind most Mopars (Challenger/ Charger) have a heavy chassis which sadly make them get gapped by other base V8’s like a SS Camaro or Mustang GT since they’re lighter. If you want an adrenaline rush tho, an RT will satisfy for sure. If speed is what you wish for, Scat Pack will do that gladly since it has a 6.4 Hemi with 485 HP and does 0-60 in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 175, the HP and the engine under the hood really makes a difference on both cars
Dodge has better gears than Chevy too, best you can get in an auto is 3.27 and 3.42 in a stick unless you have a 1le or Zl1 which allow you to get 3.91/3.73. More power with a better transmission powering down to better gear setup will always beat a lesser combo regardless of who made it.

I like the way the Camaro's look but for me they are too small on the inside when your 6'4, Now my 2019 Challenger Scat Pack is nice and roomy on the inside for someone my size (with the seat slid all the way back lol). Nothing but love for all muscle cars out there.
I'm 6'5 and I love the Camaro space/interior just fine. Then again I also own an eclipse GSX and a 2nd gen mazda RX 7 . So my opinion may not matter lol.
I ended up going with a challenger rt 2020 because I couldn't fit in a chevrolet or ford comfortably. 6'5 lol. Plus the blind spots on the camaro are awful imo

For handling and sports car feel its Camaro all the way. Getting in a Challenger is like getting into any normal everyday car. Although the Challenger is more daily friendly the Camaro exudes sports car feel. And with the 6th gen on the Alpha platform its literally the best handling car excluding Corvette. Love them both!
i have a 2021 2ss camaro and that 10th speed is a beast💯🔥 but once i’m done paying my camaro i’m looking forward into getting a charger scat pack in the future, like the looks and it has 4 doors with a v8 engine in it
First off that’s a older camaro new ones have more horsepower. Not enough to beat a scat pack. But put it up against 6.1 litre in the challenger and the 6.2 in the Camaro, the camaro would destroy it just because of the huge weight difference.
Coming from a 6.0 trans am built I love that thing such a beat LS is a good platform , but I now have a 5.7 Challenger plan on building this thing and go all out like I did with my Trans Am but this route definitely going boost

I own a 2011 SS but any 5th gen camaro owner CANT say that a scatpack is slower,scatpacks are pretty decently fast and if they can grip they can most definitely beat a camaro SS on the straight
I have both. Manual 2018 Dodge challenger scat pack and 2014 Camaro SS. Dodge is definitely roomier but I love my Camaro. Dodge does have a faster start but when Camaro goes, it’s gone!

2013 ss,this is my first camaro and never raced a day in my life till yesterday against a v6 maro and didnt beat him as bad as i thought i would,any suggestions on where to go to get a tune done and or any other affordable mods i can do to improve my rides performance ? Depends where you live. A good place to check out would be Texas-speed.com and I would start with a good cold air intake, or sticky summer tires. You can try to do some weight reduction by removing the unnecessary weight. A handheld tuner. Check that website they have a lot of awesome parts for Chevrolets.
Both vehicles are beautiful however the 2010 Camaro SS has 426 hp and the 2018 Scat pack has 485 hp. The large difference in years and power makes it unequal.

Great vid 👍 But you boys be cautious when speeding / racing. At the end of the video where you two drag raced I thought the Challenger was running off the road 😨 but that wasn't the case, but it was some dirt & maybe some water on the road, which is enough to get those type of cars sliding & fish-tailing which can be deadly.
No suprise here Scat pack is packing 60 more horses and both cars are similar in weight with the Scat pack coming in slightly heavier. Swap in a Gen 6 SS and this is a different race.
Well, that’s pretty cool but always race two cars with the same transmission to know who will really win. I don’t think manual car can compete with auto and win unless the driver is expert and fast in shifting
Have to mention what sone might not know. My 2016 392 SRT challenger. Its automatic but you can push shifter to the left and then you have a slap stick for all 8 shifts. And you can set your RPM limiter for each gear via dash controls etc. I've learned from experience its automatic all the way!! For racing. I have new stock size tires and it launches very well with traction control on but still barks the tires thru first 4 shifts. I get others all the time.. damn, thats just a stock 392?!! Yep thanks

That would mainly come down to the driver as the auto Camaro's do hop off the line with ease but a manual driver that knows the car's abilities and limits well should take an automatic transmission Camaro

I own a 2016 SS Camaro totally stock and I absolutely love my car but if the Camaro didn't exist, I'd be all over the Challenger. Both are amazing cars that rip the Mustang.
Matthew Cohn I just test drove all three cars two days ago. Camaro is the fastest and had that cockpit feeling, but the Challenger had an attitude and presence. Turned the most heads in my area. Honestly the Mustang was a little lame compared to these.
@@skully720 what trims did you test drive? That has a lot to do with it since the challenger has like 8 different trims compared to the Camaros 3 and the Mustangs like 2 not counting the special editions that come out every now and then counting the shelbies and roushes
Matthew Cohn I drove the 2019 Camaro 2SS, 2019 Mustang GT Premium, and 2018 Challenger RT with SuperTrak Pak. My favorite was the Challenger though the Camaro came with more features for the money and was faster + the 10 speed auto. Mustang was overpriced for what it is.

That Camaro is nice and I hate to say it but that LS3 sounds better than the stock exhaust on the 392. Now, cut those mufflers off or put some Hellcat mini bullets in their place on the 392 with some long tube headers and high flow cats, and then we're talking a different story.

No SS is messing with a Scat. Got lots of videos from the track of me gapping them in my Charger. Depending on the driver, a Scat could take a Zl1 too.

Both vehicles are beautiful however the 2010 Camaro SS has 426 hp and the 2018 Scat pack has 485 hp. The large difference in years and power makes it unequal.

At the end of the video where you two drag raced I thought the Challenger was running off the road 😨 but that wasn't the case, but it was some dirt & maybe some water on the road, which is enough to get those type of cars sliding & fish-tailing which can be deadly.

No suprise here Scat pack is packing 60 more horses and both cars are similar in weight with the Scat pack coming in slightly heavier. Swap in a Gen 6 SS and this is a different race.

Have to mention what sone might not know. My 2016 392 SRT challenger. Its automatic but you can push shifter to the left and then you have a slap stick for all 8 shifts. And you can set your RPM limiter for each gear via dash controls etc. I've learned from experience its automatic all the way!! For racing. I have new stock size tires and it launches very well with traction control on but still barks the tires thru first 4 shifts. I get others all the time.. damn, thats just a stock 392?!! Yep thanks

That would mainly come down to the driver as the auto Camaro's do hop off the line with ease but a manual driver that knows the car's abilities and limits well should take an automatic transmission Camaro

I own a 2016 SS Camaro totally stock and I absolutely love my car but if the Camaro didn't exist, I'd be all over the Challenger. Both are amazing cars that rip the Mustang.
Matthew Cohn I just test drove all three cars two days ago. Camaro is the fastest and had that cockpit feeling, but the Challenger had an attitude and presence. Turned the most heads in my area. Honestly the Mustang was a little lame compared to these.
@@skully720 what trims did you test drive? That has a lot to do with it since the challenger has like 8 different trims compared to the Camaros 3 and the Mustangs like 2 not counting the special editions that come out every now and then counting the shelbies and roushes
Matthew Cohn I drove the 2019 Camaro 2SS, 2019 Mustang GT Premium, and 2018 Challenger RT with SuperTrak Pak. My favorite was the Challenger though the Camaro came with more features for the money and was faster + the 10 speed auto. Mustang was overpriced for what it is.
@@skully720 Dude I'm super jealous actually, I've never driven a Challenger. I don't much care for the Mustang, but the Challenger is a badass car with a ton of attitude and 2019 for 2019, looks better than the Camaro imo.

That Camaro is nice and I hate to say it but that LS3 sounds better than the stock exhaust on the 392. Now, cut those mufflers off or put some Hellcat mini bullets in their place on the 392 with some long tube headers and high flow cats, and then we're talking a different story.

Manual transmission is the best on a muscle car. Direct power tot eh wheels. Your in control. Not some computer.
No SS is messing with a Scat. Got lots of videos from the track of me gapping them in my Charger. Depending on the driver, a Scat could take a Zl1 too.
392 Scat Pack Bullet will never beat a ZL1 no matter how bad the driver mod is

It’s a drivers race. The guy in the camaro can’t drive that well. Hence the L. I’ve walked plenty of scatpaacks with my 2012 SS/RS.
Nehemiah Abraham it’s not a drivers race, 2015+ scatpack is way faster than the 5th gen, I had a 16 Camaro SS, and the difference from the 5th gen to the 6th gen is night and day.
