Thanks for joining us in PAKISTAN! In today’s video, we are driving from Lahore to Gujranwala, looking for AMAZING Pakistani street food in between. Gujranwala is a city in Punjab province, and is home to some unique Gujranwala dishes. Gujranwala can be reached by the famous and ancient Grand Trunk Road.
Stuffed Paratha and Omelette: Before leaving Lahore, we started our day with a delicious Pakistani breakfast. We stopped at the unassuming Mashallah Paratha to eat stuffed paratha with potato and spices as well as a vegetable omelette. Everything was prepared from scratch and made fresh!
Omelette: 30 PKR (USD $0.19)
Stuffed paratha: 50 PKR (USD $0.31)
Mashallah Paratha: Qartaba Complex, Qartaba Chowk Clock Tower, Jail Road, Jubilee Town, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan
Doodh Patti: Your day is not complete without a chai (or 10). Just down the street from the paratha street food stall, we stopped at a chai wala serving Doodh Patti (tea made with only milk, sugar and tea leaves). This humble shop has been open for 90 years and is open 24/7! The tea is made fresh to order and is enjoyed on the street side. Doodh Patti is rich, sweet and always served piping hot.

Goonga Yaqoob Chai Wala: Temple Rd, Mozang Chungi, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan
Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur: We decided to take a detour from the GT Road, and visit an incredible sight in the nearby town of Kartarpur. The Gurdwara here is one of the holiest and most important locations in the world for Sikhs, being the first Gurdwara in the world. It is well worth a visit when you’re in Pakistan.
Mixed tikka: Our first stop in Gujranwala was to the legendary Khizar Tikka Shop, for a mixed plate of tikka. All of the meat is cooked over charcoal, which gives the tikka a delicious smokiness. It also helps the meat stay tender and retain its juiciness. Their specialties include Seekh kebab, Murgh Malai tikka and mutton chops, which are all a must-try!

Khizar Tikka Shop: Noumania Chowk, Gondlanwala Rd, Muhammad Pura Gobandgarh, Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan
Batair and Chirra Tikka: A very unusual Gujranwala specialty is Batair Tikka (Quail BBQ), and Chirra Tikka (Sparrow BBQ). These small birds are caught in the wild and then skewered and cooked over charcoal. Although there isn’t a lot of meat on the birds, they are quite delicious. The quail tikka tastes similar to chicken BBQ, and the sparrow tikka tastes similar to roast beef. It was extremely interesting to see and try these unique dishes!

That Sikh temple looks really beautiful and the fact that Sikhs from India can visit there without a visa is really great, especially when considering the extremely brutal and horrible history between the two countries.
I dont know much about the Sikh religion, but I have very found memories of being able to visit the beautiful Golden Temple in Amritsar, enjoying a tasty vegetarien meal there, and talking to Sikhs while being in Amritsar. Also, on my first visit to Bangkok, my father and I stumbled upon a Gujranwala and had a great experience there. A very good memory of my beloved dad who died 2,5 years ago.
Not only Sikhs but also Hindus and any faith group. As long as they have relevant paperwork and are given permission from the indian authority and Pak border officials.

I am really looking forward to enjoy your third video from Pakistan and even before watching I already know that it will leave me craving to be in Pakistan, to be able to enjoy the amazing food and the wonderful hospitability there.
One question that I have in general (its not connected to Pakistan) - who does the filming ? Is Sabrina filming you Luke when you are talking and eating and vice versa ? Or is there a third person involved who we dont see ? The filming seems so perfect and sometimes we can see both of you at the same time, which make me wondering how its done.
Sure - I'm the primary cameraman (Sabrina). Luke does a lot of camera work and vlogging as well. For the 3rd person shots, Manaky's camera crew was also present for each episode, which is a perspective that is new to this series.

Most beautiful northern areas in Pakistan swat, naltar valley, kumrat valley, hunza valley, khunjerab pass, naran and kaghan valley, neelam valley in azad Kashmir, murree, malam jabba, kalaam, ayubia, ghora gali, nathia gali, sakardu, rama lake, attabaadlake, banjosa lake in Kashmir, fairy meadows swat, deosai plains second highest plateau in the world and also called roof of the world. Bagh (means garden) city in azad Kashmir. Islamabad second beautiful capital city of the world. Chitral, gilgit, kalash Valley, hunza valley and list goes on. But to enjoy the beauty of these areas u must visit these places in summer season june, july.

Pakistani scrambled egg with paratha and ketchup is my fav breakfast meal. U can create a wrap with it to make it easier to eat while driving or on the go.
