Great RC Race Commentary. Best I've ever heard! Drake was on rails! Unreal. Drake is a class act. Very humble and down to earth in his interview. Well done!
Wow, I love this telecast. Best race coverage I've ever seen. I wish there was a show like this I could watch on cable TV. The way they set the cameras up like a motocross race was excellent!
Awesome! I was at the top of my game at the age of 12 when i participated in the european championships. I'm 35 now and i NEED to get back into this! Great racing people
To cool a race and how great to hear Mr. Hindaugh commenting on this one as well. Covering the worlds great endurance races and still having the passion and humbleness for RC racing to comment. Good on you Mr. Hindaugh ! ;-)
Wow back in the 80s when I got hurt in motocross I did this for a little. Had a RC-10. Then got back into motocross. Now the tracks ive seen on here look amazing, and the cars. Might have to get into it again now that im older.
on the "drivers stand" usaly about 8ft to 14ft above the track, so you can see. its at the side where they one camera is , when you see them pit, thats where they stand but above the people that do the pit work.
@Jason1Pa There is a little box called a transponder in each of the cars and a timing loop built in the track the picks up the signal from the transponders. A computer keeps tracks of lap times and number of laps.
>the cars do not flip in mid air because you can alter the attitude of the car while in flight by hitting the brakes to bring the nose down or giving it some throttle to bring the nose up . >Drivers stand on a raised stage called a rostrum where they can see the full track >The cars in this race are bought as a chassis only and engine ,tyres, electrical gear and handset have to be bought seperate. >The cost of most of these setups is around £1000 or $1600 including handset Hope this helps
where is this race? I used to have an RC10 back in 1991. Too bad in Mexico City they don´t organize this kind of racing with this level of driving. Nice memories.
I raced motocross for 10 years, had several sponcers, was racing the gnc series, got hurt very bad and Now I cannot even ride, I think i found my new addiction.
The vehicles in the video are 1/8 scale buggies. If you get a kit and get the engine, radio, servos, and whatever you need to complete it, it can cost you around $1000. If you get a ready to run it can cost you from $300 to $700. You get these rc cars at hobby shops or online.
@louisandjon Yes the trophy 3.5 is a good buggy . Its based on the HB lightning stadium Pro which was a race model a few years ago and now HPI produce it as a RTR kit . the engine is very capable too. If you are having problems starting it then I would presume its either the way the engine is tuned (too rich or lean ) , a bad plug (could have been damaged due to it being run rich when first started . a plug can be bad and still fire the engine up but just be inconsistant ) .
Just to answer a few of the questions that have been asked in the comments >This track is at Harper Adams institute in the UK and is constructed each year just for this event. >This is 1/8th scale buggies that run on nitro fuel >They pit because a fuel tank is only capable of 7-10 ish minutes of racing >Yes this type of racing happens every week at tracks all over the country , in most countries especially the USA and UK
@tokingcheese thanks toking cheese. in the end i got the trophy 3.5 :) do u no any videos that will show me how to put the air filter on and do i have to use the air filter oil please reply and do you think the trophy 3.5 is a good buggy
@xXSuperPervertXx I'm not entirely sure, actually, but I suppose as long as any modifications are within the rules (like the proper engine displacement and such) you can get away with it. ...on another subject, anybody wish there were full-size buggies built like these things? That'd be SUCH a rush!

that yello car has been nicely tricked out, plus the way they hop over the ramps is just too cool!
Thanks for posting these RC videos.
its so entertaining watching those little buggies catch air
on the "drivers stand" usaly about 8ft to 14ft above the track, so you can see. its at the side where they one camera is , when you see them pit, thats where they stand but above the people that do the pit work.
@wildbings the suspension is oil filled for good pre-load and landing and they can control pitch in the air
now we can all agree this is better than F1
@Jason1Pa There is a little box called a transponder in each of the cars and a timing loop built in the track the picks up the signal from the transponders. A computer keeps tracks of lap times and number of laps.
i cant believe how much this stuff get my blood goin i think im in love!!

I sure do wish they had races like this in Minnesota. Because i have a car that would pull some good times.
This is much more interesting then real car racing!
Wow, this was actually pretty exiting!
rc are cute it so funny to watch it, they are a small car but can put a amazing smile to the people

I used to have an RC10 back in 1991. Too bad in Mexico City they don´t organize this kind of racing with this level of driving. Nice memories.

@Superfish201 you, sir, are a GENIUS!
ive always wondered how do ppl keep track of their cars.. and how can they see where it iss from so far away... thats crazy..
More exciting than NASCAR where people die in crashes. LOVED IT!!
@louisandjon

pure fun without tragedy, LOVE IT!!!
How can they keep track of who is in what postion? With flips, pit stops and everything it would get really confusing
@matteoprez How can you get excited over baseball and football? The world may never know.
maybe a stupid question:
what are they doing in the pits?
refilling??
What would put in a faster lap time. The best of every thing nitro buggy (like these) or the best of everything brushless buggy???
@anewillss oh, you mean, selection of brands and models?
do you think these guys are runnning really lean? i think this cos there isnt much smoke coming out of the pipe
this should have more views than football
great footage!
Awesome vid!! Thanks!
Are these cars weighted to the front? I notice the go nose down in the air on the jumps.
also what company of buggys are they using? and whats the best rc buggy company?
is there a camera on the car so they can see better or?
That was really pretty damn cool!
Buggies used for racing are usually of the 1/8 or 1/10 scale?
Just to answer a few of the questions that have been asked in the comments

@MrHalo3Fan10 yes, you just have to know where to look.

i love it when the cars flip because i know the drivers must be wicked pissed haha

kool i wish i had one i didnt know how popular this was
these are actually amusing
have they made auto fuel gauges and tells u when its low?
what is with that buggy stuck on the second corner after the long straight??? why dont they move it???
amazing! seems to be very difficult, but those jmpes!
@rcsage7 Kinda of. It runs on gas so it goes wayyy faster than battery powered.
louisandjon - the winner adam drake is using a "losi 8 2.0 race roller" with a "nova rossi +4 off road nitro engine".Its a race winning set up..
They watch from a place where they can see the whole track, you have to have good orientation.
whats a good gas buggy to start with and how mutch? plz reply
@dpl1108121 the drivers know about how long they have on a tank. Most of these cars get about 9-11 minutes per tank.
What kind of engines do these nitro buggies use? Just curious because I want to check out the price
this is as exciting as a motocross race!
do they have cameras on them?
how do they get there buggies to nose down over jumps? Mine goes nose up 90% of the time? (I am new to Nitro RC racing.)
some of the jumps are sssoo neat, its like an illutions when they get air Xd
what size are those ? really curiouse.
There are several online hobby sites that sell them.
where was this at
Difficulty is just f***ng insane!
@xXSuperPervertXx

Why won't they show this on TV?
Sweet race.
This makes me want a R/C car!! :D
@GoWannABees Radio Control Nitro Off Road Buggies. it means they run on nitro gas instead of being powered by an electric motor,
that was a sick whip at 2:21

whats adam driving/ what engine n servos
how much does such a cart cost (with electric motor, no fuel)
Man, I'm not sure why this isn't on ESPN or something. This is more intense the half the crap I find on there.

how do the drivers see where there car is going?
@shuwukong There's classes for both of them 1/8th scale is definitley more popular cause theres more selection.
where is this at?
that looks really fun but hard at the same time
how much does one of these cost?
anywhere from $180 to $380 depending on who makes it and how much power you want.
who is racing the CEN MATRIX
