- What you will need to swap out for the dredded air bag light , u will need to get the base lancer seat ecu that comes with ur car , seat belt from og seat , bracket sensors from ur original seat,
I did a recaro swap into my evo x FE today. Your video did help. I swapped the parts as you described and no light, no issues.
You did it right. I've had no issues at all .
This video just saved me some $$$ swapped over and had the srs light. Though I messed up but forgot to swap over the sensors in the rails. Thanks for this video

yes , belt buckles have to be your original ones the car came with , the rails on the recaros bolt right up , driver is plug and play , passenger is the tricky one .

I've heard you can even switch over heating seats if you have them into the recaro
Ok. That's what I probably did wrong. It registers the passenger airbag when I have a passenger and I reset the seatbelt light like the way you said to do but still had the airbag service light
I'm wondering if my driver side and be swapped to the passenger side, since the driver seat has little wear spot and I don't want to keep wearing it thin..
You cant . The shape of the seat is different. The bulster is lower on the entrance side

on the passenger side you just swap the module ecu thing, weight sensors, and belt buckle so you use the original recaro seat rails? only on the passenger side correct? driver side it's all plug and play except the belt buckle

Couldnt you of just used the entire bracket from the 2015 seats onto the recaros? Should be a direct fit no?
No the 2015 seats sit higher , the recaro brackets make the seats sit lower to the car
@@JerryGsr Oh okay. Damn, I got evo X 2015 non recaro seats and am picking up Recaro seats with no brackets. I'll have to buy recaro evo x brackets now?

when you say seat ecu do you mean the module that is bolted to the bottom of the original seat?
I swapped my bases and weight and I still have the air bag light on? Maybe the issue since the first time I didn’t know I needed to swap the pass bases and I started the car ?
FACTORY PHIL its ok , put in original sensors and it should come off. I did the same thing , its how i figured out how to do it , threw trial and error .

No bro . You have to use the ones from your old seat , swap them onto the recaro, be sure to place them in the same seat position, like front right sensor back to front right . Or the light comes on .
The airbag light came on when I swapped them before switching over the belt buckle and sensors. Once I get them switched over do I have to clear the code or it will go away on its own
Also can I just swap out the whole bottom rail from my original seats
@@mohsinadam8412 too much work to swap rails , just do sensors . Unplugg battery
U always need to unplug batteries when u work on anything with airbags , then can pop on u .
Do you have to swap the driver side belt buckle also?
Of course , all original seat belt buckles .
Did your light go away?
yes no air bag maintenance light .
