I really like how, the minute these two cracked and Gordon realised how emotionally vulnerable these two brothers were, he largely stopped the yelling and the bordeline abusive "the truth is cruel" talk, and immediately took a positive/constructive approach. He/the team clocked that they were more lost and scared than in denial, and so he went with showing them how well their restaurant can work at lunchtimes, and giving them a way to vent their frustrations and insecurities. It's not often that Gordon softens his approach that much, shows how aware he is of other people's mental states
It's also rewarding that these two managed the restaurant well after the show. Though it closed down recently because one of the two had a health reason.
The way Gordon told Jim that he wasn't a failure had me tearing up, the way Gordon's face was honesty to that man. I hope they are both doing well since this episode and even if they closed the restaurant they could prove to themselves that they can be strong and do it
And when he wiped his mouth when he was eating. Gordon is truly a good soul deep down. He really cares about people... imagine how bullied these 2 were through their life. And Gordon approached these guys so different... I don't think he raised his voice once. Good for him and good for them calling gordon
They closed in 2019, Gordon even went to their last day. They had a really good run for many years after the episode, but started losing money again and couldn't pay rent so they decided to retire.

This was one of the saddest episodes for me. Always felt a little emotional for them, especially during the moment one of the twins believes they were a failure. Sincerely hope they’re doing well in their lives now. Also if you would like to see them a little younger, they star in a music video, it’s from the 80’s and it’s a great song called: The Hooters - Satellite

This was one of the most impressive episodes because it was one of the worst restaurants that Gordon ever walked into. But it was also one the only few that did see success afterwards.
So are Most of the restaurants on this show. But this particular restaurant had a good run after gordon left, the twins really did turn the place around
It closed only a few years ago because Jim and Jeff decided to either close or sell it. They were having some personal issues (family, health, or something like that) and they made the decision to close/sell. It had nothing to do with the food, service, cleanliness, etc.
This is my favorite episode of the entire series. I love how the place looked the same since 1963 (if it had been cleaner, they could've said it was a nostalgia trip!) with chicken spaghetti and pizza I totally would've eaten because I eat meals just like them at home:) It reminds me of a lot of a bunch of the local restaurants I've been to, and Jeff and Jim totally seem as if they could've been the uncles to my elementary school boyfriend:)

I can confidently say this is one of THE MOST depressing restaurants ever on this show. It makes me sad for those guys. That Darian is pathetic to jeer at them
