Thank you FOX for covering Bradenton. We have a family place there that's been in our family since the early 60's and still is. Prayers for all in the path of this mega hurricane, get out while you can!!! Don't try to ride this one out, you will lose the battle!

Not opening 2 of the 3 southbound lanes along with 3 northbound lanes when there's mandatory evaluation to get the people and animals out is an abomination that no one is talking about.😢 Shame on Florida officials or whatever they call themselves.

I'm not sure. I live in miami in a condo next to the water. During previous storms we see some breeds fly to the little islands in the bay, but some of them fly out mid storm (maybe cuz they sense its not a good spot I dont know) and they get slammed against the condos amid the wind gusts. During the last storm that hit Florida keys as a cat 4-5, we found so many dead birds on the streets when the storm was done and we only got tropical storm winds in miami.

@@dwoychick my best friend and her 2 sons are also in Bradenton she lives Tampa and felt it was a little safer. They were aware of the storm Saturday but flights were 2k/person,gas stations had no gas so options were limited. You never know some people’s circumstances. Just pray for all of Flordia

I live in Bradenton and work on the Islands. What you see here in the video is real. I have similar pictures. My co-workers and I were allowed to access Bradenton Monday to do repairs. The week before I was on Longboat Key. The north end of the Island sustained more damage than the south. If the prediction holds true for Milton all or most of the single-story houses and mobile homes will be destroyed.
Who would have known that buildings on a beach where hurricanes frequently occur would get destroyed by storm surge?

The insurance is going to be higher than the mortgage payment.
Most of these people don't have insurance because they've been dropped over the years.
A lot of people are still suffering from loss from the previous storm not even 2 weeks ago, all the way up to Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Is it possible for some of you people to have some compassion when posting on stories like this? God forbid you ever experience devastation.
Thank God they are reporting the TRUTH. People wouldn’t evacuate otherwise. This isn’t the time to tiptoe around the seriousness of this storm. It’s unlike anything that has ever been experienced before.

I lived in bradeton like by bayshore, and the college and moved to Ohio, and I'm suprised this is happening now like when texas got hit hard we also moved away right before it got destroyed a lot. But hopefully people stay save knowing that many decided to stay behind
And seems like shelters are being strict like rejecting someone i know because her name wasn't put on the list but her kids were so she wasn't still allowed

God blessed people with the wisdom to NOT live in a sea level beach in a hurricane alley peninsula with a history of massive hurricanes hitting the area again and again and again. Some listed to the wisdom to not live here, and others just scratched their greasy heads.

I survived Hurricane Ian on my sailboat near Estero Island in September 2022, where the surge reached 18 feet. Everything was wiped out, and my sailboat was pushed 1,000 feet inland

Their speed and locations also vary every hurricane season. And weather modification including hurricanes has been talked about in even the main stream media for years.
