- Join me as I conquer the world in EU4 "King of Kings" -- the best historical strategy game on the market!
I'll walk you through every step of the final stage, finishing the full World Conquest. If you're looking to dominate the world, then this video is for you!
This video is Part 2.
Part 1 is here: • EU4 1.36: Byzantium Wo...
Part 2 is here: • EU4 1.36: Byzantium Wo... - เกม
For a moment I was afraid that the video was dubbed with the computer voice from the intro. You have such a pleasant and warm voice, please keep narrating your videos yourself.
Thanks for your kind words. I just wanted a different voice for the newsman, no plans to move to the AI voices - although they’re very good now!
Didn't like the voice either, I think it would be dope if you did a reading yourself in your native tongue with subtitles though!
They are. It frightens me to think about how good AIs will be in, say, twenty years.
Ah, that's a great idea - thank you :)
It's not just that your voice is so pleasant, but also that you take special care to pronounce names from different languages so accurately! I think I've even noticed you doing some correct tones for Mandarin names!
this is probably very minor, but i've noticed you've been using different music in this video. THANK YOU. i find it very irritating to listen to the same song over and over and over and OVER again. i dont expect youtubers to constantly find new songs, or to compose their own for their videos, but it's very refreshing
Thank you for noticing this! I’m the same, can’t really listen to the same music for more than a few times.
The issue is, there’s only so many licensed tunes before you have to start paying serious money for copyright… but I’ll keep finding new licensed tunes to play :)
Good idea on the intro but the minarets(towers) were added after Hagia Sophia became a mosque in 15-16th century, the original was without them.
Hi! Yep, I know :) but I couldn’t explain it to the AI image program. Couldn’t articulate the right prompts :)
Assumed as much props for trying tho :)
I’ve been playing this game for 7 years and did only one WC/OF because it feels stressful due to the possibility of failure. However, your WCs’ are really chill honestly. I enjoy watching quite a lot.
Glad the videos are working for you! For the world conquests, I find that once you fall in a certain rhythm, the results become reasonably predictable. Unfortunately this takes some time-consuming trial and error...
An absolute masterpiece as always Alex!
For the alternate history bit: The Roman Colony of The Thirteen Colonies has declared its independence from our glorious empire and united the colonies of Canada, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, La Plata, and Cuba into open rebellion against us! This blatant disregard of Roman Authority much be stopped at once! Our Legions will quell these upstarts and show them what happens to those who dare challenge our might!
I love this scenario - in fact, should have played it out by releasing the colonies and conquering them directly!
Video idea, as Poland, get the modifier that allowes you to revoke any privlige, than form rum. grant and revoke religious diplomats to get infinite relations with everyone to turn into eyalets, than change religion to cathlic and do the same.
Sounds really fun - and something ThePlaymaker would do! :) I’m noting this for the future, thank you!
Religious diplomats doesn't work like that. It gives you +10 to the modifier "Opinion of Country from others of the same Religion", which applies to all same religion countries, rather than a direct opinion modifier on the countries that you would be able to stack. You can get a ton of relations from the event that happens when you become muslim, which does stack over multiple times.
Ah Burgundy, big fan of them. Fun fact: You can form like, 4 end game tags as burgundy; Lotharingia is formed by event, Angevin is formed by Parliament (which you'd have to do after forming England while holding the Lotharingia event), Roman empire can always be formed, and that still leaves one tag you can form by decision (I recommend Spain, Germany, or France) (Which you'd have to form while holding both parliament and the event).
It requires a lot of setup, but the reward is +25% or so admin efficiency, which is rather less useful than it looks since you have to conquer basically all of western europe to get it.
Yep, that's actually what I want to demonstrate, managed to do this a few days ago. I went with Spain for their Councils government. I skipped Angevin though, just formed England in-between for the admin efficiency :)
Ah, I still remember my first successful campaign as Provence. It felt so good to have so many powerful PUs. It also helped that I got France super early as a junior partner due to godlike rng!
Provence was a surprise for me, too. I followed Lambdaxx campaign for as long as I could, and became really strong super fast.
Hi Alex, cool video :)
I'd put more centres of trade into trade companies for more merchants honestly, not to min-max but a merchant is just generally better than a bit more force limit and manpower. The Kazan monument for decreased monument upgrade time also decreases the money you need to spend to bypass it, so that is -25% ducats spent.
It is fascinating to see you get so many PUs this game and integrate them all, I rarely ever play like that and just did a one tag one faith one culture as Byzantium a couple of weeks back! That it takes more hours to complete is why I do it, it is like a form of meditation or a way of relaxing and thinking of nothing.
Thanks, that's awesome info -- much appreciated. And I agree on the meditation part. It's a good way to unload the mind after an intense day of work.
That said, last night I was finishing my Burgundy campaign and caught up on a few psychology lectures that I need for my new online degree :)
A few days ago i did my first WC and OF! All thanks to your guids and advices. Your France and Russia Campaings were my inspiration and guides. Now i only waiting for entire Ryuku campaing (for Three Mountains achivement).
Glad to be of help! I’m now finalising a Burgundy One Faith, will post soon. We can make Burgundy so ridiculously strong it becomes a breeze.
As for Ryukyu… I’ll think about it :)
1:14 Probably the same way Mongol do, a punishment from the God. Maybe with less dread and more acknowledgement that Roman are chosen by the God to unite the world. Well i guess Player could qualify due to how insane it strongly buffed any country it chose to play. :v
And hello fellow AAR enjoyer! If i'm honest though AAR has been quite dry lately so i'm always eager for a good AAR 😊
Very true... although as Romans, we like to believe we bring enlightenment to the peoples :)
I probably was a member there during the Golden Age of the AARs... there was a lot of collaboration and friendships formed. I guess many AAR authors have now moved to Reddit and TH-cam (like I did, for example).
always fun stuff. as always i admire your patience to finish the stuff in the last 200 years. I always just zone out once it hits 1650 or earlier.
Thank you, much appreciated! :)
That was an awesome intro!
Glad you liked it! :)
Best eu4 channel at it again!
Thanks so much!
Storyteller: Do you know how powerful Byzantium is?
Images generated by AI (Ottoman smile) proceed to show Hagia Sophia with minarets
Haha 😂 couldn’t find a way to remove those minarets!
Awesome video
Thank you!
The intro is a cinematic masterpiece
Thank you :)
great video
Thank you :)
I love your content … it is entertaining and even with over 5000 hours in the game I still can pick up things to improve my game … thanks …and one wish .. do a Spain run 😊
Thank you! Yep, I was thinking of a Spain and Portugal runs earlier today. I have a few recorded ones that I need to edit / publish first.
Please do a Spain campaign - they're insanely fun for getting a bunch of personal unions and stacking diplo annexation cost to dominate Europe. (Recently I had a campaign as them where I formed Rome before 1600 and did a one culture wc)
Hi! Yep, I've received several requests for Spain, so will add it to my queue...
Danke!
Vielen Dank!
Looking forward to Burgundy. PU's galore!
Thanks :). It I think I’ve had enough PUs in this game to last a while!
Intro slaps hard!
Hope in a good way!
@@StrategySphere Yes, Sir!
Can you do a Zaporozhie world conquest some time? It's quite an interesting experience, because you are an Orthodox horde-republic with a potential choice to form Poland for a god-like cavalry, and I think no conent creators have done it ever before
Thanks for the idea, this could indeed be interesting. I have a long list now, but will add this one too! :)
All the PUs I ever had since I am playing were accidental ones and not more than 1, how you do it it's a mystery to me but amazing playthrough!
Hi - I was greatly helped by getting the Hapsburg dynasty and marrying all the Hapsburgs around me :)
PUs aren’t really that hard once you understand the few standard scenarios…
Just in time
Merci!
lol nice
Thank you :)
Is It possible to do a wc with the Papal state or One of North america's tribes?
Hi! Adding these into my list. I’ll try the Papal States sure - tried a campaign the other day and it was a lot of fun.
@@StrategySphere I second the idea of a Papal States run. Maybe not a WC, how about something a little wacky... let's say the Papal States have decided that all of Africa needs to become Italian Catholics, and as little possible else.
This could be a lot of fun. I did a test run a couple of weeks ago and had horrible RNG which felt great to overcome, so can think about something along those lines -- either "forming" a true HRE, or indeed taking a region...
ai moment. I am dissapointed
Just fooling around :)
@@StrategySphere stealing labour from artists is a bad look, no matter how you paint it.
@@reroman1892 huh? I produced it with my paid subscription for the AI image maker. No stealing involved.
Over my life, I’ve paid tens of thousands of dollars to artists if it means anything to you. For a TH-cam channel which brings me almost no income, I believe a quick AI solution is more appropriate.
@@StrategySphere do you know how AI creates its images?
Well, creates doesn't really apply to be honest. More like stitches together from already existing material.
If you want visual material, screenshot some stock images, don't be complacent in this travesty.
@@reroman1892It's not that deep bro, chill out. I thought the use of AI in the opening was cool, and it really didn't harm anyone did it?
