- In this video titled EU4 A to Z - The Ottomans WORLD CONQUEST I play as The Ottomans in Europa Universalis 4 1.36 King of Kings. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of The Ottomans and I attempt to conquer the world. Basically do a world conquest in EU4. So, let's see if I managed to do it! I hope you guys enjoy this series. This challenge is basically impossible I'm not sure how you pulled this one off.
For real tho, playing past 1600 is physically impossible!
How so? almost every game from when game launched I have played from 1444 to 1821 & not had any trouble xcpt some lag in late game.@@toddhoward1892

Yeah I only did 2 WC (actually 3, but first I did with a custom op horde to learn the basics). One as Oirat and one as Austria aka the 2 easiest ways for WC. Still on my list the three mountains one
@@danielmatheus6620Austria was my first WC and it's really a piece of cake. Rushing HRE is just so strong.
You have to wonder how much existential dread the lords of those little Pacific Islander nations had when, as they're chilling in their quiet, little, peaceful life, a messenger in strange garb appears, presents himself to the chief and proclaims. "Congratulations, your nation is now the 7th most powerful empire across the entire world! Tales of your wondrous lands have now reached all corners of the Earth!"
Quick tip for when the Twilight Era begins for the Ottomans, the way to maintain low Decadence gain is by having as low as possible autonomy (basically no trade companies you'd rather have cores and eyalets), having high stability, and being at war. With these 3 things in mind, most players should be able to navigate the whole decadence issues once they begin, be quick to set up though, because the effects will start to snowball if left unchecked.
Or you can do the opposite thing: trigger the disaster as quickly as possible, get out of it as quickly as possible and emerge with so many disgusting bonuses stacked on you. I think you can do the entire thing in like 10-12 years. Extra 5% admin efficiency alone from the disaster probably cuts more from your total WC time. Not like any AI is going to risk declaring on you while you're "weak".
but you want to have decadence disasters. it will lead to extra missions. you dont see those missions without firing disasters.
If you dont want decadence missions then the only thing you need to do is having absolutism as high as possible something like at 80 absolutism decadence wont rise

Honestly, the worst thing about a world conquest is to not get bored when you reach the age of absolutism. Which is a shame because the age of revolution is, in my personal take, an age that is seriously underrated!
Agreed. I just did a full campaign with France, becoming a Revolutionary Empire in the Age of Revolutions via their unique events, and it's hilariously overpowered (even more than regular France is).

Redhawk's Ottoman guide helped me a lot with making my own plan for Ottoman One Faith run so it's interesting watching him do Ottoman WC after spending few runs executing the achievement. Playing Ottomans is so wild, it's like you play some weird version of EU4 where half of rules don't exist.

Diplo seems like the best idea group for annexation play, and Petra an important early wonder.
Diplo Adm and influence with Petra and the one in thaliand you can have 11 dip rep.

Honestly, I respect people with the patience required to even attempt a "world conquest" run.
But personally, I would have chosen to turn the Ottomans into "Devlet-i-Rûm", it doesn't do anything besides giving a new name (like the Caliphate option) but it sounds like the Muslim version of the Roman Empire and as a fan of Roman stuff, I like it.

Nice one! I did two world conquests. One with the Oirats, one with Afghanistan. I have some savegames where I could easily do a world conquest as Austria and I think also some other nations.

Diplo is a key idea group for world conquests. The improve relations help prevent coalitions because it increases the speed your AE ticks down and the province war score cost is massive in turning a 4 war country into 2 or 3

23:20 This is how my best ever Ottomans campaign happened. Things are going great and I just look over for a second and Timurids still exist but with only 2 provinces left. I no CB'd immediately and reclaimed all their cores at record speed. Unfortunately the Ottomans update came out right after I started the campaign so I felt I needed to abandon it...
well, i know what the next 1h31m of my life are going to be.

I think you should consider going espionage as your first idea group, the aggressive expansion modifier is extremely good
You can rush to establish eyalet to Greate horde then nogai then kazan at the begining and this makes easiyer to conquest muscovy too then release kazakh etc etc
As Oyo, Be a One(yo) province minor and conquer all of your home region as vassals
i think you said before you already had a nation in mind to form rome, and i know this would be PAIN, but i hope its wallachia to put the rome in romania and seeing dracula on the roman throne would be so cool

Hi man, I noticed that often you full annex a lot of countries, in the first war against Byzantium I can't do that, even if I have 100% war score.
You too don't spend a lot of time in creating claims against the enemies, for example in the last games I tried to fabricate more claims as possible against Venice before attacking Albania.
May I ask you why you perform like this..?
I had troubles in expanding in the balkans and Italy, I often end up struggling against the fleets of Venice, Genoa and Aragon and with fighting againt Austria and France in the same areas..may I ask you for some advices?

I'm a little surprised you didn't take diplo ideas as one of your early ones for the province war score reduction and attempt to combine it with some of the other great projects that also have the different religion war score reduction costs. Still a great campaign though and appreciate the exhaustive effort of finishing it.
Yeah I think Influence is better as a second diplomatic idea, Diplo and Espionage for conquering lots and Influence for controlling vassals

I never did a WC even i've played since 2013 and getting close to 5000 hours. So austria vassal swarm and enact the last decision in the end is easier then the eyalet ottoman strategie ? I may want to try one of those.... also, religious isnt good to have less WS cost provinces against other religion ?
