Hopefully this won’t flop because at this rate almost everyone already has their Ducky 60%/65% boards. I still feel like it was a missed opportunity to also get a collab SF version in the works but that’s just me.
And they wont offer it in other switch types. Kinda sucks that they wont do their aqua tactiles because the red color on this keyboard is gorgeous to me
Cherry needs to step up their game BIG time if they want to become relevant again in the mechanical keyboard world with all the competition they have (Kailh, Gateron, some of the Outemus, YOK, Everglide, etc.)
@@blackcinematics I'll be honest, the Outemu Cherry clones (red, black, blue and brown) are mediocre at best and switches that you must replace as soon as you have the money for better switches at worst. Outemu Sky, Silent Forest and Phoenix are good tough.
@@WalfasProject8000 I kind of agree, however I found the Outemu browns to be still a little bit better than the MX browns - the former are quieter and less scratchy. I'd like Ducky to make a hot swappable keyboard one day so I can slap in some nice Zealios Aqua Zilents.
They will likely stay relavent no matter what as most people who aren't that into mechs, associate them with high-end keyboards and switches. I don't doubt that in the future this may change, but I wouldn't expect it any time soon.

Got one on launch day, best feeling keyboard I have used so far. I don't like the light bleed out of the bottom, but It's not a deal breaker. Also the LEDs are bright as hell, I had to turn them down to like 5 to be bearable.

I just recently got into mechanical keyboards (like a week ago) and I finalized my 2 options to either the Ducky one 2 mini or the HyperX Alloy Origins Core TKL...What are the odds that these 2 companies magically make a keyboard together? I NEED this. However, I'm in Canada so I doubt I'll actually be able to get it. Can't order directly from HyperX and none of the retailers in Canada have even heard of this thing. I'm sad. Just be a lad and wait for Keycult to drop another commission. Buy an old cherry keyboard and harvest the cherry blacks. Buy a Zeal60PCB and GMK Handarbeit keycaps. Shouldn't cost you over 3 grand! (AUD)
I'm using the hyperx alloy origin core. To me it is a great keyboard. The switches are smooth. The only downside is the software kinda crap (ngenuity). Although you can use it without software.
Correct me if I am wrong, but in your original review of the Ducky One 2 Mini, you had mentioned that there is a curve in frame of the board, but were unsure if it was just the one you had received or not. Does this one have that same curve in the frame?
Worth noting here, MKs site has some kaihl and gats as options for the O2M. Im really curious about getting something other than cherry if i get another ducky. Shame this is a limited board.

Best answer is to get a switch tester (doesn't matter how large of a sample, at least the 4 common ones: Blue, Brown, Red, Black) to get a general feel of how they feel like before getting a board with them. It's not the best way but definitely better then blind picking a board with some type of switch and hoping you like it.
Hi Tae, is it possible for you to review the new version of the cherry mx switches among with your thoughts on how smooth they are stock? They claim they are smoother and have less than 1 ms debounce and 100M clicks and I might as well wait for a new ducky to get them on. Thx!

..::UPDATE::.. I figure ir our. on this keyboard you have to press and hold FN key alt key and the K key for 5 second , then the switchable keys light up and then you are able to rearrange it. You do this by first pressing the one that you want to switch ands while pressing it hit the other position that you what the key. Hope this help ----OLD Entry before figuring it our--- Just as a side note... I don't know that any one has tried this, but the DIP switches are not what the marker 1:28 says it is on this board. You can't move the FN keys as you can with regular Ducky One 2 Mini. At least thats what my experience has been. Im a little frustrated due to that I used to put the FN key on the far right of the board so I could make macros for the arrow function on the ?, Windows, Alt, Control keys , then I'll remap the ? key to the ] key and eliminate that key all together since I didn't really needed it. I wish the function of moving the FN keys came back. Or if anyone has a work around I will love to hear from you. Thank you!
Have you looked into reviewing the Mecha Mini? I already ordered mine with silver switches but it’d be interesting to know what you think of it compared to other aluminum mainstream options. Also, I was curious what are some recommendations for reducing case ping or reverb on a retail mech and not a custom board. I heard neoprene was a good option but if you have any other recommendations I’d love to know if I can avoid voiding a warranty thats all the better lol

I got a ducky one 2 mini but it was a fake and was upset, but then I got a hyperx board but got cherry mx reds, but I kinda wish I would have gotten these switches since they sound better, and everyone says they are smoother
Is it gonna have same key chatter issues after 1 week of use like One 2 Mini and One 2 Mini SF? I've had to return both. They were double-clicking some keys. Firmware update for One 2 Mini was supposed to fix this but it didnt. One 2 SF did not receive a FW update at all. Stay away from Ducky keyboards.

I have a big problem i hate a shorter travel for switches, i need 4mm. Disapointed with mini 2 very bad plastic, need desoldering to do stabs good(4 rgb pin that joke...) and need a foam in the case, after lubing it's a ok keyboard for the price but i still prefer my old shine by far.

I just have a question about pinging spacebar on Ducky. I tried sponge inside the stabilizer housing to dampen it but still have the annoying pinging. Can i do something else to fix it without desolder it?

outemus have pretty much surpassed them at the moment, especially with their clickys (even though they're still weird)

Buy a Durgod keyboard instead. These are not worth it. Available on Amazon and there are reviews on this channel of the keyboards as well.

its just a piece of acoustic pinboard that I cut up. I only use it for typing tests.

pretty new to keyboards, can you remove the pcb in this board and swap out the plastic case for an aluminum 60% case?
The PCB for this should have standard mounting hole placement, so it should fit a standard layout metal case. Try digging through r/mk to be sure.
I forgot to show it in the video, but the dip switches get in the way. I tried to put it into a Tofu aluminium case, and it didn't fit.

If you're talking about pinging, and not rattling, then put some acoustic foam in the case, should reduce it by quite a bit.
