For me as someone who Stan’s a lot of groups. For me I can pick out the leader a lot 😂 I can’t explain it but they just have this different aura and presence. Nayeon is always center so that’s a given and yeah, Momo is literally the strongest dancer of third*** gen for females so I think anyone can point her out

Fun Fact: Feel Special has a very special place in Twice and Onces' hearts because it was released during the time when Mina (a member) was on hiatus due to anxiety. The meaning behind the song just hits so differently whenever I listen to it.

Yes, I literally just cried because I never really paid much attention to the lyrics until now and it’s extremely deep and touching
I know so much thing happened in year 2019. Twice were getting hate for so many made up things. Jihyo and Momo(?) were taking photos with some korean soccer players and some toxic netz were saying that they were gang sexing with them for getting attention. Correct me if I’m wrong because this all happened before I got into kpop/ Twice.

fun fact: jeongyeon (the one who sang i cant stop me's last chorus, who you mentioned being fuller) is actually one of twice's lead vocals and you can check out her vocals in songs like get loud (where she sang the highnote) up no more & queen of hearts !! twice's vocal line is pretty strong (nayeon and jihyo who sang most of the highnotes) and i reccomend checking out their other songs to see !!

Its sad you know how ppl won't listen to twice just because their concept are color pop and bright when they first started, even if its cute they released bunch of bop "cute" songs. what i like about twice is they have their own color,sound and style, they dont straight up change to girlcrush concept and instead evolve into more mature and classy concept
Couldn’t have said it better, they have a more mature and classy concept which explores more subtle but personal themes. It feels fresh when most other popular girl groups seem to be pounding the girl power or overthrowing the patriarchy theme. I think people automatically put them in the bubblegum concept at first sight just because their concept isn’t the stoic-girl-power trope and instead a cute-sweet aesthetic. Edit: yeah, I love how they’re not in the girl crush concept anymore it made them popular around 2018, but it seems there was an overhaul in their production team at some point around 2019 which is awesome the choreography, concepts, and songs got much better.

Yes!!! Everyone should read that post (or the translation to it) It seriously had me crying my eyes out!! Twice didn't make it big right away and their debut song: Ooh-ahh (was amazing!!) but didnt have very many fans when it first came out... In the Instagram post they basically say they'll take any love or appreciate people are willing to give them... even if given only once (so if we only liked them for a song or a comeback) and they'll hold onto and treasure it, then return the Love Twice as much! They were just a bunch of bright eyed girls doing what they loved! They never thought they'd make it big and they give ALL THE CREDIT TO THEIR FANS!

TWICE is literally the biggest GG in kpop and Asia ,no kidding, they're the best selling GG, most awarded and so loved in the industry! Hard working bees and super passionate when it comes to creating music.
They're known for having different concepts and using different styles in music all the time so you'll find cute song, mature songs, and different vibes through their career.
All members are great dancers, all members can sing, there's 3 rappers in the group and 6 vocalists. TWICE are also known for their song writing, they write and produce the majority of their music each album so give them a try, their albums by far the best for a GG that's why they have the highest rated female album world wide! Trust me you won't regret it.

12:15 they are 9 members but Jeongyeon didn't participate in the cry for me era because she was on hiatus. She was recovering from an injury and subsequent anxiety. Which is why at times in that shoot for cry for me (the choruses), there were no close ups of the members as those were her parts
I will never get tired of saying this but Sana in I Cant Stop Me is literally one of my favorite things ever, lmao she is just so stunning, natural colored hair on her is so beautiful. (Sana is the one with the really high voice, people say she has a puppy face, and she’s a lead vocalist and dancer, and her stage presence is so contagious and inviting)

Correction: Sana is neither lead vocalist or lead dancer. She used to be lead dancer but they replaced her with tzuyu, sana does dance pretty good tho. Sana also has the potential to be lead vocalist, but she will need to be able to support first and train for more time to officially be one.

41:35. Exactly. Especially considering she is the main rapper. One thing that is interesting is that when she writes her own lyrics for the bsides, you can tell how good she is or can be. Chaeyoung, the main rapper wrote the bside Basics and it's probably one of the best tracks in the album and her rap there is stellar. Dahyun, who is actually the lead rapper, wrote both When we were kids and Gone. And again, the rap verses in gone were so much better. Momo, the main dancer and sub rapper also has some better raps in the album

40:28 jihyo has trained so incredibly hard to get this good at charisma, vocals and dance. she started at jyp at 8 years old !! 8 !!!!! and trained for 10 YEARS. she watched every single JYP group except the first one (noel - in 2002) debut, you can actually see old videos of 2pm playing with her as a kid

as for chaeyoung (one with weird lines lol) she’s twice’s main rapper, i would suggest you listen to “icon” a twice b-side , and “better” a japanese song, and recently “basics” which was written by her
she’s considered one of twice’s ace members as she can sing, rap , dance very well and she’s the most credit twice members for writing songs, her voice is also really good an example of that would be “off my face justin bieber cover”
she also draws and paints, and has such a deep appreciation of art, some of her tattoos are from her drawings
she’s one of the underrated members in twice, but recently she’s been getting more lines especially in their latest album “between 1&2”
Chaeyoung the roll roll roll rapper you said is actually the ACE when it comes to song writing. She writes her own rap verses and song lyrics. She's really good along with Dahyun, her fellow rapper. But yeah, you are correct that Chaeyoung deserves more in her rap parts. 💖

They started off with a cute concept (i'd say pre 2019) and then went a bit more of a mature route as they grew older but their older songs are more the cute ones people mentioned.
Feel special is indeed about the members and each other, some of the lyrics is based on things they said in their documentary.
In cry for me, jeongyeon is missing in the performance (maybe you noticed sometimes no one was singing and there was center space open) because she was on hiatus. She had an injury and gained some weight on hiatus because of the meds but we're all super happy she's back and healthy and we're glad JYP lets her focus on her health and not on being "idol skinny" because she looks amazing.
Jihyo is the charismatic one whose voice you said carried the ICSM chorus, she's the main vocalist (also did the "dolphin notes") and she trained for 10 years, since she was 8! She's one of the most passionate performance in kpop as you noticed in more and more (pink hair)
Momo is indeed the main dancer and one of the best ones of the 3rd gen. She's the sub rapper, dahyun is the lead rapper and chaeyoung is the main rapper (the one that got "weird lines") but sometimes dahyun gets more raps because chaeyeong is also a good vocalist (like a jennie-lisa situation)

Twice are literally my ult with blackpink. They are very versatile especially Bsides wise. They genuinely love and care about onces, their fans, not just because it's their job and money making. "Between 1&2" album is one example of many others showing their love towards their fans.
Both their Japanese and Korean songs are always on point!
They are also lyricists, for example all the members wrote "celebrate" (Japanese comeback). I truly love their messages, they are such an inspiration and encouragement for me. "feel special" lyrics is truly beautiful, and I can connect to it a lot. They have many beautiful songs tho, like "thank you family" (Japanese song, wrote for their family).
As individuals, they are all so different but sweet, funny and passionate. I just love them sooo much.
My favorite is Sana, the one with Pink hair in "feel special" and orange hair in "More and More". She has THE duality it's insane. But all of them are talented and gorgeous. I love them all TT
Oh and in talk that talk there are a lot of references about their previous songs. Like "yes or yes" that was mentioned in their lyrics, "push and pull" as well. The whole album is released after their contract renewal, and is for the once. I just love every thing about it!
If you ever react to twice again, I HIGHLY suggest looking into their Japanese releases as well, they’re JUST as good as their Korean releases it’s insane
Ones I suggest listening to in particular: Breakthrough, Better, Kura Kura, Doughnut, Perfect World, and Celebrate (Doughnut and Perfect World FOR SURE because the concepts are polar opposites)

The one you're pointing out the most for her confidence etc, the leader Jihyo, was at the very beginning actually bullied because of her weight etc and got praised so much, when she lost a few pounds. But when you watch the show how twice were made, you'll see that she was awesome, gorgeous and everything you've could ask for from the very beginning. I literally cried when I saw, how they treated her at the show and I'm so glad, that she is loved and praised by so many people, that warms my heart ♥️
I'm loving these discovering videos. Twice did do the whole bubble gum pop cute concept but as they've grown and matured, so has their concept. Its still cute but its also got this maturity to it. And if I'm not mistaken, the QR code at the end of the mv takes you to a 2015 instagram post of theirs where they announced their fandom name which I think is very sweet. And symbolic too considering this is their first comeback after their contract renewal.

Honestly, I started liking them because they are extremely funny, but then I heard their songs which came off as very cutesy and all, but something about the song makes me wanna hear it more and very catchy, watch their dance practices and their SYNCHRONISATION ooofff on point, then their personality is like the most kindest and nicest people on earth and they are often praised for being them. They are goofy, cute, kind and funny in real life, and while performing, they are absolutely like a goddess, very professional. You should watch more of their contents, other than MVs to get to know them better, you will feel calm and happy. :)

I had the honor of seeing TWICE perform in concert earlier this year and their live performances of Feel Special and More & More in particular were amazing to see in person! Their stage presence is phenomenal :)

First off, your reaction is just so heartwarming to see, Onces (name of Twice fans) love people discovering Twice and finding out why people love them so much and I have to say you have some great observations!
19:42 Twice's 7-year career can be looked at by their era's and the most iconic one if their Fancy era because before that song was released, Twice was mainly known for their cute and poppy sounds. But from Fancy era onwards, they've been releasing songs with different concepts and genres that aren't necessarily cute but are more "mature", its just that Twice's core element is cute so you'll always get that signature from them. They are known as the kpop girlgroup with the most diverse discography when it comes to genres!

45:55 People often say that Twice is cute, that's true, thcey are absolutely gorgeous and cute visually but I think people's notion that Twice is "too cute" is due to the fact that kpop has been saturated with a lot of groups with similarly "darker" sounds or concepts. I think what sets Twice apart is them sticking to their signature of being cute and fun while being able to show versatility with the varying sounds and concepts. What I love about it is that they are heavily involved in their work too as they are among the rare kpop girlgroups who do songwriting, vocal directing and composing in their work.
Great comments! Wholeheartedly agree about their pre-Fancy songs - all their early TTs (especially "TT" 😄) are iconic because of their catchy choruses and killing lines. Also agree that part of Twice's success is maintaining their music style while experimenting with different genres. I personally like that they've kind of reembraced their cute aspect ("The Feels", "Talk That Talk"); I love TTT even more than most of their songs from the past 2-3 years. 🍭💙

What a comeback, toured U.S. and triumphed w/Twice. Lyrics in Feel Special are meaningful for her and Mina. Respect their elegance, talent, and, musical growth. See Momo's solo performances!!! Feel special is a song that defines the power of Twice in my opinion. It highlights the vocals, dancing, the label they are on and the production level they are on. From Jyp creating the song for them as empowerment during a difficult time to what it means to have each others back. Glad you started with that track
Twice is one of those A-list groups where even though I’m not a hardcore stan I still know a ton of their songs and somehow all of their names and they are just so obviously incredibly talented. I think I might have to join in on your journey to truly become a fan.

love the way you talk about jeongyeon's body, it's been few years and im glad she hasn't changed that much with her fuller body, because before all of this in my opinion she was really thin, and seeing her being confident even after being criticized for being "plus sized" makes me happy for her.
5:45 yeah for feel special it was like a hard moment for twice bc at that time they've been very overworked and mina was in hiatus due to anxiety (people were actually surprised she was in the MV) they didn't exactly write the lyrics of the song themselves but the lyrics came after they had a very deep and meaningful conversation with jyp about how they were feeling.
I remember when feel special dropped, I’d just started college and I was at my lowest, I hated it, I was shy and denied the course I wanted because of it, I wanted to give up, I was crying in the therapy rooms, then they dropped this, it got me so much right in my heart… especially as Mina is my favourite and she was off (and the centre of the video) due to her hiatus with her anxiety. Ever since then, the songs always stayed with me , and now I’m 19 with an a level in the course I was denied a year later due to the motivation of their moving impact. They’re amazing girls.

im so glad i came across this video because I also discovered Twice very recently and I have nobody to talk about it LOL! The girl you said is fuller in the cant stop me video is Jeongyeon. She used to be the smallest one in the group but she's had neck problems for years and the pain got so bad that she had to take breaks from working with the group. That's why you only see 8 members in Cry for me. She had to take steroids for her neck condition and steroids make everyone bulk up. Then she had to go on meds for anxiety, which also cause weight gain. All of that added to the hiatus made her put on a few pounds and since this is kpop, she was harshly criticized for it. I think it's crazy because she's actually a very healthy weight and the reasons why she gained are all related to her health issues. She still pushed through performances when she was in pain. She's my bias and I admire her even more because im also a disabled, larger person.
Oh about the cutesy stuff, that's their earlier material. If you look at videos from 2016 and 2017 youll see it's totally aimed at tweens and teens but I personaly still really like it. Actually, if you watch their videos in the order they came out, you can see the members grow up, change hairstyles and become more mature over time. They go from a young girl who discovers love and friendship to more grown women with more complex feelings. They also get sexier over time but it's always subtle and in very good taste. No boob cracks or ass cheeks showing ever.
I really hope you'll watch more of their videos and react to them. I suggest TT, Likey and Heart Shaker. My personal favorite from their early days is knock knock but I know it's not very popular. Fancy is a very popular one and Signal is the one nobody likes

Feel Special is my favourite TWICE song. It really tears me up every time I listen to it… The 9 shining girls make me feel special and by loving them, I make them special too. That makes me feel so close to them and the love between TWICE and ONCE is pure and true…
Their older stuff is more on the cute spectrum, but their music matured with them and their newer releases have a more “grown up” feel to it. I recommend Like ooh ahh, Cheer up, TT, and Likey for the cuter concepts
