I agree about the slight buffeting of the clear outer shield in the up position. I don’t get any buffeting of the Sun visor. My biggest complaint is the fogging up in the visor closed position when raining. If I move it to the slightly open position, it mostly clears up… but at the expense of rain coming into my mouth area.
@@shawnonthego7527 I’ve had the helmet for 1 year. I live in NC & my first experience with the helmet was a 1 month ride thru the South on my way to Sturgis. It worked well & only fogged once during a rain storm. Second experience was a full day of rain on my way to Shreveport, LA to meetup with relatives & their friends for trip to NOLA, Panama City, Key West, then Daytona Beach BikeWeek last March. It was a cold rain storm & I had to switch between the closed visor position & the cracked open to keep getting rid of fogged clear visor. I do have the fog shield installed. Wasn’t a fun day between the shield fogging & downpour conditions that forced me to pull into truck stops 3 times because I couldn’t see the semi that I was following at about 100-125 yards.
i have a regular black clearly you have the Blackout version since yours came with 2 shields. i live in a rural area but work in the city. fully closed in the highway and 3/4 in the city. the sun visor mechanism needs improvement after a couple of months of using it sometimes it wont open/close properly. the hjc i100 is something to consider too forget about the scorpionexo
Shawn, I just got an LS2 Valiant modular helmet yesterday and took my first ride with it. As an open face helmet it fit quite nicely and was comfortable enough. But having never had a full face helmet, I was surprised to find that when the chin guard is down, my chin directly touches the hard plastic of the guard to the point that if I try opening my mouth wide, it puts uncomfortable pressure on my chin and jaw and pulls at the entire helmet. It seems that if I did have an accident, my chin and jaw could be injured from the impact of the chin guard. I don't have an unusually prominent, jutting chin, so I am wondering if this is normal?
I like the helmet and would purchase it again. Closed it is good, quiet. I have three motorcycles and buffetting of the visor when up is my main issue with the helmet.
Hi nice video do you have any video installing the Sena on your helmet. As I'm trying to buy the sena 50c7 for the same model of the helmet. I was just wondering if it is easy to install speakers in the helmet Thanks
It is low priced and isn't the quietest helmet but I'm usually on a Goldwing and noise isn't usually an issue. It isn't a 'quiet' helmet when on my other bikes.
when you ordered you helmet was it true to the size chart? other reviews say it sizes small and you should go up one size, from what I hear you're saying is it takes time to break in then all is good? Great review by the way!
I've been in motorcycle shops where the in house 'expert' tells you it's too loose and how tight a helmet fit and I don't necessarily agree with that. I bought my correct size and it was a bit tight for my taste and took a bit longer than I liked for it to break in, but it did break in and fits me very well now. I must add it gave me a headache the first month or so.

I put on an aftermarket Clearview Windshield that is three inches shorter than stock, and three inches wider. The helmet visor will buffet when lifted and the windshield is in the lowest position and I'm sitting up straight. Yes the Goldwing windshield is manually adjustable. Website says its 23 inches and at 5' 11" am just looking over the top of it.

How long have you had your helmet? Where do you live, or typically ride? I ask as I'm in California and we don't have much rain or humidity.

Do you mean the antifog shield? If so, then no I haven't.

My helmet doesn't fit like that, it doesn't touch my chin like that.

I paid for the headset to be installed in my first helmet, but I installed it in this helmet after removing it from my other helmet. It was simple.

I bought true to size, but find it a bit snug on the cheeks when I have the chin bar down, otherwise fits perfectly.
This is my first modular helmet and I quickly learned I couldn't put it on or take it off until I flipped up the chin bar.

Can you crack the visor a bit to get some air?
Yes. It can sit slightly open. I typically ride with it up except on very cold days.
