Heaven knows what the criteria of the 2 tollway companies here in the Philippines is concerning expressway-legal motorcycles... Oh well, we have other highways that are toll-free like the McArthur Highway, far more scenic route for a motorcycle like the RE Classic 350 in my opinion.

To the ones who are having second thoughts about buying this bike, I assure you classic 350 is complete package - the immersive riding experience, excellent ergonomics and astonishingly perfect braking and control system. It gives me complete confidence while cornering, sudden braking and overtaking. Once you will buy it you will never turn your eyes on to any other motorcycle ❤❤
@@yes.yesiam4155 Realiable as in their the engines and gearboxes? Royal Enfield have more than proven their tech to be reliable as long as they're given basic maintenance. Any bike gets small problems from time to time, things like blown turning signals, snapped cables or even just loose mirrors. But these are easy fixes and good for learning and getting comfortable fixing your bike.

Please, owners of RE bikes who emblazoned their bikes with Union Jack flags should also consider adding the flag of India who have the loin share of keeping this iconic brand alive when the British gave it up several decades ago. Its rather disrespectful to the people who are keeping it alive.

I love the look of this. I cruise 75-80 mph on my Honda NC700X which has a power band almost identical to the R.E. 650. If they make a 650 Classic that's likely my next bike. The Classic 350 has an air-cooled, long stroke engine that makes peak horsepower at 6,100 rpm. It's not designed to compete with a KTM 390 Duke or Kawasaki Z 400 on a race track. For its purpose 20.2 hp isn't bad.
It is a great pity that RE do not offer the Classic 350 and the Interceptor with larger frames for the western markets. They are great bikes if you are 5'10'' or less. How difficult is it to produce larger frames? They would also have the benefit of being able to check valve clearance without removing the tank...
There’s a review on here and the chap is 6’4” and he loved it and didn’t look 👀 out of sorts on it , I’m 6’0” and will report back when I get mine . Well adding to post now , I absolutely love this bike , I have 4 motorcycles and this and my dr650 Suzuki are my favs .
Good review; I don't know about the others, but I switch to neutral by default every time the bike rolls to a standstill - sounds like a pain, but you get used to it pretty quickly and if its possible in Chennai, it's probably easier to do in Manila ;) nice SKX by the way!

Friend in the motorshop has a classic 350. Photocopied the orcr and edited the 350cc into 500cc. Now he can access the expressway by showing the photocopied edited orcr.

Damn what have they done to the sound of this bike??!! I know it's probably because of emission norms. But I remember the actual sound of these bikes 30 or even 20 years back in India. It had this hard thump....like a very bassy *doob doob doob*....5 to 10 ft behind the exhaust you can even feel the thump hit you like air cannon fire. It was like listening to a dragons Heartbeat with your ears pressed pressed to its chest

i have the old classic 350 BS6 and i love it! wouldn't trade it for the new one. i feel that the newer bikes lacks soul. Everything is about fuel efficiency, emissions and sales target. Old bikes have soul, New bikes none.
@@SuperImbadude exactly. I rode both and the new one is a surprise to ride with so much comfort and filtering capabilities thanks to the new frame. Old one is shit, full of vibration and lack of responsiveness of engine because of carburettor.
Beginner bike? Perhaps, but I've been riding 54 years and would really enjoy one of these bikes to tool around the twisties. The 500 sounded too much like a farm tractor.
3:27 How come you can get perhaps even more flat footed on the Classic 350 (eg: at 3:42) with a seat height of 805 mm than you can on the Meteor 350 that has a nominal seat height of 754 mm (with the 'low ride' option) , eg: th-cam.com/video/UR4bRJLwD8w/w-d-xo.html at 4:08 ? That's a whopping 55 mm difference in the nominal seat heights. But that difference doesn't seem to translate into the real world comparison. Maybe it has something to do with the suspension preload ?
There are only minor differences between a classic and a meteor. Go for meteor for a more defined and modern low rider cruiser with alloys, LEDs, and a TFT Console Panel. If you are more into retro looking, bad boy, off the edge type motorcycle then buy a Classic with semi-digital console, bulbs, and Spoke wheels.

The clutch was initially heavier, but I own a classic 350 with 2900 km on odo. The clutch becomes lighter and silkier after around 900 km
You can easily adjust the the clutch cable. Done that to my Gt650 no problem...

I'm planning to buy a Classic 350, is it reliable and does it have any kind of small errors? I'm not that great in terms of bike knowledge

20 HP is a bit weak. I love the look. But for the price, it should be roughly the same as the Triumph Speed 400, which costs about the same.

@@Zeroone6969 it is not just because of fi. The thunderbird 500 had fi from the beginning, still it vibrated even more than 350s.

Pardon blind RE lovers UCE engines r faulty,don't mix the UCE with uk born earlier engine.
Old Classic had Nitro rear suspension and rider seat also had springs. So the new one must be hard.on suspension.
