The moguri mod is awful. Talentless weebs with no understanding of visuals. AI can only smooth out a picture and remove noise not create detail where there is none. @@OtenP_ I had a look at it once, but there's too much wrong with it. Simply getting it back to the quality of the original is months of works. So much work, and it's not like you can open it up in unity or unreal and do it over a weekend. What takes 2 days is going to take 6 months. And that's only to restore the quality of the original. To improve on it you would need to de-chibifi the characters. And hand paint over the backgrounds to create more detail. @@DanIel-fl1vc Man, that is such a horrible take. Let me ask this. Have you put this request in on their Github page or are you just assuming they do not know how to do it? You have all these suggestions, but then say it's too much work to do? You throw a lot of terms around acting as if you know how to do this. Do you have projects you have worked on to back up what you say? I have actively followed all of their development and each developer is passionate on each topic. @@WarpedEdge Actually just a few days ago on the discord channel. For some reason I'm suggested the same topic on youtube. I've done a lot of work inside unity, creating menus, programmed stuff and I'm very familiar with zbrush and 3d animation. I'm also familiar with painting and if they've hand painted over every background they're not James Gurney because it's not very impressive. I'm not talking shit, just pointing out what has to be done for it to be as good as the original game, if it isn't as good. Then there's no point in modding it at all. From what I've seen changing the menus is what's difficult. Animating the windows in and out of frame. But even changing the layout might be difficult, because menus are made up of more than just graphics. You got text elements, button elements and different pivot points that allows them to scale properly when resolution is changed. My take isn't bad, the take that this mod makes the remaster as good as the original is a bad take. As I said earlier, high res graphics for a game that has no detail doesn't work. It looks really cheap and if they hand painted every background they did a really bad job because the detail isn't there. And if the detail was there the 3d models would need as much detail. But there's no point in arguing this, I can't convince otaku weebs that their preference for art is bad. Like asking a rapper to abandon their rhymes for mozart. You're living in a completely different world and use different frame of reference. Which explains why you fail to appreciate the guiding principle by which a game like this could be made better.
